Pricey! Decent food, but nothing out of the park. More photos and details on the blog. Link in profile.

I’m not a vegan, nor am I particularly into vegan food, but somehow their vegan Caesar salad was the best Caesar I’ve ever had

The stuff their offer is average at best but it is outrageously overpriced!!! They charged me FIVE dollars for a small cup of tea, how ridiculous is that??? The coffee is also super overpriced and sort of gross, and beware: none of the prices include tax!

I absolutely love GSnaps, nestled in a cozy corner in the West Village, the staff is fun and the food is good. Must haves: Sunflower Caesar salad, Banana Bread, and Hot coco made by barista Lexi!

The sunflower Caesar salad… omg. I’m still craving it. The nori rolls are also amazing and hot cocoa prepared special by Lex is a treat that I will be going back for very soon! Love the place, cozy vibe and welcoming space that is perfect for a much needed mid day escape + recharge.

First thing that put me off was the service. The lady at the front didnt even apologize for making me wait as she was in the kitchen doing god knows what. I gave her a 20 and was waiting for my change, but instead of providing me the change, she moved on to the next customer. So I was like«you didn’t give me my change?» and she was like«just wait for it»… WTF, not even a sorry? or an explanation? I ordered the cauliflower soup but it had no pieces of cauliflower in it and boy was it super salty. I apparently had the last bowl of soup so most likely all the salt was just stuck at the bottom. The soup wasn’t warm at all and totally not worth the money. I am never coming here again. There are so many other better vegan places in the area with way better service.

I wandered in here after trekking around the meatpacking district and chelsea for most of the day. The tropic thunder smoothie was good, but definitely overpriced. The staff are a bit hoity toity. I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop back here.

Asked to use their restroom and they were so disrespectful and rude. I would of bought a water if they hadn’t flat out told me no. Worst customer service.

Nice little café for quick to-go food. Pretty expensive for not very large portions tho, and the set up is deli-style. Came with a girlfriend for a quick lunch catch up and left feeling like we needed a snack to be more satiated. Also atmosphere is very small and a little cramped, better to grab food to go & eat elsewhere(or just come solo to get work done on a laptop, not really a great catch up spot for a friend date).

Overpriced items, NOTHRASHBIN!!! And a rude disinterested lady at the counter who looks like she’s being forced to work there. Such lame attitude !! Will avoid and make others avoid this place

Horribly overpriced iced coffee. $ 4.90(plus tax/grat) for what would be the equivalent of a small. I ordered the cold brew that was advertised on the sign out front and what I got was watered-down regular coffee over ice. It somehow managed to taste flavorless and burnt at the same time. I had to throw it out after a few sips because it was simply undrinkable. I could forgive overpriced cold brew, but this was clearly false advertising and down right disgusting. Will not return to try anything else.

Veryyy expensive for a cup of iced coffee, $ 5.99 in total. They do not have soy milk, just house-made almond milk, which was good. Overall alright, but overpriced.

Lovely little café that’s kind of tucked away. I love the natural ambience inside. I tried the banana pudding, which was a mix of puréed banana, young coconut meat, Irish moss, coconut oil, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Texture was lovely and it wasn’t sickeningly sweet like most banana puddings. Very authentic flavor. However, there was a bit of a sour taste or which I wasn’t too particularly fond. Not sure what it was from(too much lemon juice maybe?). Also tried the mint chip smoothie, which consists of banana, spinach, mint, cocoa nibs, coconut, vanilla, and date. Mint taste hits hard with the first sip. Texture is a bit grainy from not being blended completely. Pro tip — bring floss if you want to drink this smoothie. Cocoa nibs will definitely get stuck all throughout your teeth, haha. But it was pretty good overall. This place is really overpriced, probably since it’s a smaller café and not a bigger chain like Liquiteria.

Wow… no. Even considering that this place serves organic/raw/vegan food, everything seemed way overpriced, especially considering the very small portion sizes. And for dishes which they claim are designed and created by «chefs», my experience has been that they’re really not very good or well balanced at all. Their thai-carrot soup was essentially a small amount of pureed carrots with way too much ginger mixed in. This all might be suitable for their apparent target demographic of tiny well-off white women who don’t know any better(everyone who walked in while I was there fit the bill!), but I find all of the positive reviews about this place hard to believe. Service was very cold and unfriendly as well, unfortunately. Total [redacted] vibe the entire time… it was as if the woman behind the counter [red hair] felt like she was doing me a HUGE favor by taking my order. She was yelling at one of her employees too, and I could tell he was terrified of her. There was almost an attempt at «faux-friendliness», but barely — she came off rude and horrible, and I’m not sure why she feels/acts the way she does, but I have a lot of compassion for her. Definitely not a positive environment to be in :(. On the plus side, the place is decently comfortable and decorated. The place is a nice idea, but given all of the above, definitely won’t be back!

LOVETHISPLACE! Go green is my favorite. I also enjoy the energy and location of this awesome café! I’m excited to start my cleans from their juices! I like there juices better than organic ave. They have a great way to blend the flavors together.

This may be my new go-to smoothie bar, when I’m in The West Village. Excellent, clean, and vegan… the make your own almond milk kind of vegan. Staff is friendly and helpful. …The Coffee Dream Smoothie might be habit forming. .My last favorite place, Feelfood, closed. .and now I don’t feel so bad;) Gingersnaps Organic is helping me heal:) Ok, now it’s time to explore the rest of the menu.

Food was very tasty, fresh, and healthy! This is quality organic food that takes time and love to make. Sure, the prices are a bit higher than something that will kill your stomach, but it’s well worth it! We were riding are bikes and stopped in for a vegan ceaser salad and a «Reuben» wrap. Both were excellent, tasty, and fresh that day. Nothing here is frozen. We were sitting next to the owner(I think) and she told us about some of the dishes and how they were prepared. Trust me, your better off paying a bit more for someone else to make this amazing goodness since it’s not so easy. We would for sure come visit again!

I stopped by today because I needed a pick-me-up. I chose the [GO] KICK juice, which contains kale, spinach/chard, cucumber, celery, pear, and ginger. I was really surprised by how strong the ginger was but I eventually got used to it. It’s a delicious and refreshing drink. I also ordered the quinoa porridge with brazil nut milk. It was really tasty and filling. However, it’s not very sweet. You can sweeten it with the natural sweetener, which is located near the back. The owner and employee are really friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The menu is great and they offer wifi + plenty of seats. I’ll definitely come back!

Was excited to try this place, chose it over Hu(a good organic place in the neighborhood). Only had the food: fake tuna seaweed roll and Thai kelp noodles. Total came to an outrageous $ 28. Portions were extremely small and found a curly black hair in the kelp noodles. Food is gross. Will never return.

I love this place! The vibe is always awesome and I am OBSESSED with their salad with beets and garlic — OMG. Incredible. I also love the desserts, especially since it’s always sad when you can’t eat too much sugar and I am gluten-free/dairy-free as well. I just love it here. Oh! And it’s a great place for me to meet friends or for any meetings really, because they have wi-fi and I always meet the best people there too. Great vibe, great food, LOVE!!!

Gingersnaps Organic is my second home. I wake up dreaming about that freaking cauliflower soup(please please go and try this, it is beyond) and the sunflower caesar is delicious. I lick the plate… literally. The reuban sandwich is really great also — oh! and the sunflower tuna roll! So good. If you are looking for a raw, organic, amazing, high-vibe place to eat, this is it. thank you god they are in the west village now!!!

I have to admit… for me, eating consciously is an ongoing education. I am SO happy Gingersnaps is in my neighborhood because it makes it a no-brainer for me. Everything from juices to salads to espresso brownies(Yes. Do it) are amazing. And the cherry on top is the delightful service I get no matter what time of day I pop in. If you haven’t tried this place, please do.

We were so excited to try this place on Saturday; but was quickly disappointed in the small portions and poor customer services. We left hungry, the superfood salad was mostly spinach, that would have been great but it was too small to be a meal, it was more of a side serving size. The green soup, was cold and way too spicy even though I asked for it warm. The kale chips was too expensive at $ 8 for the tiny amount in the bag. I am glad the cashier wanted to discuss the raw food process but she needs someone else to handle the register so she is able to have long discussions. She was in such a deep conversion that another customer just walked out and she messed up my order.

If you are one of those people who LOVE Caesar Salad and then become vegan, you know the struggle to find an amazing vegan Caesar is real! But look no further than Gingersnap’s Organic. Their Sunflower Caesar is DELICIOUS… Raw, Organic, Fresh, Crunchy, Salty, Tasty, Delicious… Can’t wait to try many more options off of their menu! Thanks Gingersnap’s!
