If the coffee is great and the baristas are friendly, and the service is prompt, why would someone give them a 4 star? I don’t get it. This place is great.

Vanilla latte was great and croissant. Friendly staff. Not a place to sit and hang out(unless you can grab the little bench outside) but great if you’re just on the go.

I stumbled upon this by accident while walking around and I’m glad I did. The espresso here is the best I’ve had in nyc. I will definitely be back. From just looking at the place, you would expect avg coffee but you like espresso, this is the right place to get one. Like others have said, this is more of a grab and go place though they have some seating inside and benches outside. I also appreciate that they have wifi.

Nothing could beat a large glass of cold brew after a lengthy run in the city! I felt like every single cell of my body has been energized! Secretly hidden in the middle of NoLita, Gimme! definitely carries one of the best single origins here in the city. And the little old-fashion type of ambience definitely added on top of it! My barista was super helpful and introduced me the variety of coffees — totally love it! I only wish Gimme! could be a bit larger in space so that I could sip my cold brew inside while viewing the better part of New York City downtown. Nicely done!

The 411: this is a cozy coffee shop that focuses strictly on their coffee. Friendly service and DELICIOUS espresso would have me returning in a heartbeat if I lived nearby. Coffee is expensive… this place is no exception. But prices are indeed competitive and are not too steep for what you get. I got two espressos to share with my girlfriend. One was their traditional espresso… and the other was their weekly special. The traditional espresso was very good. Chocolatey and complex. Clean finish. $ 3. Decent price. Exactly what I wanted and with friendly service and free seltzer to wash it down! The special though… was unlike anything I ever tasted. It was INCREDIBLE. I wanna say that the barista said it was Kenyan single origin… but it was sour on the first sip(I would agree with the barista in that it was like biting into a Granny Smith Apple) and then smooth and rich on the way down. Such an incredibly intriguing espresso that I never had the pleasure of experiencing until now. It was so great! Bottom line: there are hella coffee joints around this area… but this one is a fantastic option(especially for espresso) in my book. Give this place a sip! You won’t regret it!

Asked for a cappuccino. The woman there early morning makes me a latte. I note her action. «The latte is in a bigger cup,» she answers. Really? Gimme!‘s trains their people to believe a latte and cappucinno are the same? «If you want less milk, you want a cortado.» Gee thanks for the lecture. If I had wanted a cortado, I’d have asked for one. Dilute coffee delivered with a helping of condescension? Not what I want at 7:15 in the morning. Coffee milk(wait, is there even any coffee in there?) going down the drain along with an ill-spent $ 3.50. I hadn’t been in there for a few years, now I remember why.

I used to go to Gimme! Coffee in my college days and could not help go to Gimme! Coffee to kill time off my one hour wait for a brunch spot. I had not yet caffeinated up, in other words, not awake enough to be social. So I walked in here with my friends and ordered a drip coffee. They had 2 varieties of drip coffee to choose from, with descriptions of both. That was pretty cool because when you order drip coffee, its usually boring drip coffee. You don’t always get to choose the beans. The coffee was good. The guys working there are extremely friendly! Gimme! Coffee!

Stumbled upon Gimme Coffee! While wandering in the Soho /Little Italy area. I ordered a regular latte — which was smooth and flavorful, well worth the $ 4. The baristas were also super friendly — they greeted me promptly and enthusiastically upon entering the shop, and all around service with a smile. There’s not too much space to really sit inside, but I suppose you could drink your beverage standing at the bar and they seemed to be open to taking your to stay beverages outside too. If you’re looking for delicious coffee when in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by!

I come here every single morning. I am a coffee snob and this is hands down the pace to come in this ‘hood. Not only is the coffee delicious, they have many dairy substitutes(almond milk incl) which isn’t easy to find. Really sweet customer service quick and efficient!

Perfect in so many ways. Great coffee, not slow. Cool tunes and art hanging. Friendly staff. An ideal bench out front. And the salted caramel buns, oh wow… a tour de force of the morning pastry scene. I hope this ‘hood saves that garden next door.

Came here on the earlier side on a Sunday so it was not too busy. The people working there were lovely and clearly passionate about their jobs. I overheard one barista explaining to a patron the type of beans that were used in the current brew and told him what the next brew would be like so he could choose what he wanted. I ordered an almond milk latte, which was made beautifully. Good beans were used clearly and the barista did a great job with the latte. My only gripe is that they didn’t have unsweetened almond milk. The price is pretty comparable for an almond milk latte in NYC.

Terrible establishment. It’s Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, tinkering in a lab. Thursday morning. Walk in at 8, place doused in shadows. Guy behind bar looks like third string in a ‘John Lennon’ look alike contest. Took 4 mins for person to get coffee. Mr. Hyde, drip-dripping water into an open filter. Entertaining himself. No greets. Girl cuts ahead, they chat 4 mins; she gets coffee. No service. Stood, smelling no coffee. So I left. Turns out, gimme gave nothing! Rebel Reviewer says: 0.5 stars.

People watch and caffeinate thyself. I stopped in here during a slow morning. There, Carl[1] and Renee educated me while I hung out. Trivial Pursuit cards were involved. Like espresso? Get the Honduras Las Peñitas($ 3; credit accepted) — it comes with seltzer — and you’ll be woken the hell up in the gentlest way possible. This coffee shop has a charming view of the street[2], and you can relax outside with a good book. There’s a bench and tree that you can make friends with. [1] Is it Carl with a C or Karl with a K? [2] It sounds awkward, but no matter how many times I re-wrote the sentence, this place really does have a charming view of the street.

OMG… WTF… After being addicted to you like a month to a flame for like 7 years, my heart just wavered. Yeah, that’s right. Where is the thick tar-like espresso I crave because it certainly was not in the cup I recently ordered. And where was the coffee in my friends drink? Hers was so pale and bland it was like a glass of warm milk at bedtime. boo hoo dudes. Lastly, sweet boys, baristas require speed… I know, I used to be one. Between the painfully slow service and shitty coffee, a hole has been left in my heart where you once lived. Get your shit together. Please!!! P. S. I like the new bench outside. Its sleek.

This is basically the only option for coffee in nolita other than I guess little cupcake bake shop. Great coffee. Great service. Very friendly. Very informative. Wish they had bigger sizes for iced coffee /iced tea. Small space so it’s pretty crammed in the morning. Sometimes it feels like they make the coffee as if it’s for them, ignoring my request for room for milk. Maybe they’re just in the coffee zone. Either way I still go back everyday.

Gimme Coffee! NY Manhattan Nolita 2:30pm Thursday 12th March 2015 Five Stars I don’t know if the cappuccino that I had yesterday was that bad, but this place had amazing coffee and fantastic service. I had a cappuccino to stay in their personally branded cups. The Coffee was flavorful, the milk was sweet, foam was frothy, and everything was in perfect proportion. The lady behind the counter was friendly. Its small place without any indoor seating but there were a couple benches outside. I cannot wait to go back.

Hallelujah! A coffee shop that offers almond milk! Not an easy commodity to come by, judging from the many baristas who tell me, «We’ve got soy,» as if the two are interchangeable. My iced coffee was absolutely delicious & perfectly smooth. However, if you’re looking for boldness, the flavor may not be as strong as you’re used to(for me, it was just right.) No tables inside, but there is one bench outside & a seating box around a tree. Not a place for a leisurely group meet-up, but treat yourself en route to your destination!

Very small coffee shop, but it gets the job done! I had an amazing iced latte. I’m not sure what makes it so much better than the others I’ve had, but it just was! No seating area except for 1 bench outside.
