Gilda’s Club offers support for people with cancer of all ages and their families! Being able to get support groups and social activities all in one place and for free is incredible. Not to mention the facility feels more like a home than a support center. When you spend all that time in a sterile hospital, it’s nice to be able to come to a place that looks and feels warm. I am so happy that they exist. Thank you Gilda’s Club!

I recently lost my mother to cancer. It was a long, slow, 7 month process. The volunteers, staff, and other attendees at Gilda’s Club were instrumental in coping. They give and give and give, and ask nothing in return other than for you to do the same for other attendees. I will be returning here again, as I’m «ready» to start talking about my mother’s passing — and this is the only place I feel comfortable doing that in. God bless Gilda’s Club — and I’m an atheist.

They seemed nice at first. Nice area, nice facility, nice staff. Then they stopped calling me back. Apparently my cancer wasn’t good enough. They said that because I had been depressed as a kid they couldn’t help me. WTF? I have cancer! Is this not a facility for people with cancer? Is this not a place for all of us to come together & feel better and talk about our current issues with cancer? Who wasn’t depressed as a kid? I’m not depressed now & I HAVECANCER! I’m sure Gilda Radner is shaking a fist at these a-holes from whatever comedy heaven she resides in now. Really pathetic! Don’t bother if you have any pre-existing mental illness on top of your cancer… And Susan S, — It is far from a safe haven!
