Nice espresso. Small true and only two seats but the coffee is smooth and rich. Nice folks.

Great little coffee shop in SoHo! I’ve never ordered coffee from here since I’m not a coffee drinker, but I’ve ordered pastries from here and I like the croissants. The service is fast and the staff are nice. They are also open early, which is a plus for people who need to be at work early.

Intelligentsia coffee, black cat espresso, the owner a SA guy, I believe, knows how to pick his baristas, because the definitely pull black cat better than anywhere else I have had it, they are all pretty good, never chatty but that is definitely not unusual for a 3rd wave store.. I go quite regularly and is easily the best coffee in the area.

I gave this place a couple a few chances. Coffee is just so-so. Coconut water was expired and tasted very sour. Yuck.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There were a couple people inside but it was nowhere near busy. Regardless, the barista really took his time(~5 mins) to prepare the dirty chai that I ordered. The drink came out fabulous. The temperature was simply ideal and the milk was steamed to smooth, foamy perfection. The chai mix they use is really heavy on nutmeg and cinnamon, giving it a subtle egg-noggy flavor. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had.

How did I not find them earlier? Milk is steamed to perfection and by far one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had. Very small corner shop. A place for a grab and go. No tables just a bar stool or two. Def my go to place while in Soho!

An adorable little hipster haven in SoHo. The Grand St. location I went to is pretty small, but the ambience and music are spot on. I tried their iced chai tea latte and it was delicious. Not too sweet, which I liked, and it had just the right amount of cinnamon. Will come back here again.

The americano at Gasoline Alley is really something special. It has this kind of nutty, oaky, whiskey & cigarettes taste to it without any kind of bite or lingering aftertaste. When it comes right off the counter there’s a lovely crema on top. There’s almost no seating, so plan on taking it to go — and avoid the 9AM rush in the winter, because you’ll be waiting outside.

Stopped in for an espresso when I was early for a nearby appointment. When it comes to coffee bars, I generally don’t ask much beyond the coffee itself but Gasoline Alley is awesome all around. The baristas were very friendly and very fast. Most importantly, the espresso was excellent. So good I had another in fact. The place is small with only two chairs at a high table. Probably don’t plan on trying to use it as your office…

Let’s see if the third time really is a charm, as my previous review attempts were both flagged on account of not being 5-stars(they are Unilocal advertisers after all). They employ snappy staff here, serve tiny coffees, but fortunately sell Dough donuts, making PayPal offers very useful. Cool little space, too.

Friendly service, great coffee and delicious pastries. What more do you want from a corner coffee spot? Located on the quiet corner of Grand and Lafayette, you can pop in and grab a quick house drip coffee or stay a few minutes longer on a stool for a far superior espresso beverage. My favorite is a simple Americano with a little room for cream. Throw in a Stroopwafel and you’ll be all set for either a good start to your day or a quick pick-me-up to keep it going. It’s a favorite spot of mine in NoLIta/SoHo.

No-frills and a tiny space doesn’t hide the fact that Gasoline Alley offers a good, solid cup of coffee and Americano in the Little Italy/Nolita neighborhood. A great spot to grab a quick cup of joe in the run or park yourself on a stool to surf and text away on your phone.

Went here daily for coffee /donuts as our nearby hotel did not have any coffee we wanted. This was great. The donuts are fancy from local shop Dough– kinda fun . Coffee is excellent, dark/strong. I dislike the Eco lids(too thin/flimsy), but I can get over it. Friendly staff. Tiny place– 2 chairs. Take it to go.

I popped in here with 15 minutes to kill before a pre-work meeting… I had an espresso and a croissant — I believe it came to about $ 5 and some change — pretty standard prices for NYC. The«stay» part was a two-seat area with a piece of plywood against the glass window. it felt a little awkward to sit next to a complete stranger and the sugar/creamer/trash and stare at people passing by… but I got over it via the comfort of having my little smartphone distracting me. The pastry was flaky and lovely — the espresso was a bit bitter(I dont add anything to mine, but they did offer up a small carafe of water to mix with your espresso if you wanted it a bit more«americano» style). I most likely will be visiting this place in the future, but will get grabbing things«to go» next time.

I dropped in this place for a quick cup of iced coffee. The service was kind and fast. It was an unseasonably hot day for late September, so the missing A/C made me sad because I wanted to chill for a bit and enjoy my coffee, but even the cold brew wasn’t enough to make this place less than stifling. Plus the seating inside is very, very limited. The coffee itself was a-OK, but not strong enough for me.

Stopped here for coffee while walking by and was pleased with the taste. It’s pretty small inside with only a bar and two stools so don’t plan on sticking around. They had a spinach turnover I ordered which was good flavor wise but I wish it had been a bit warmer. The coffee was delicious, def. good place to stop if you are in the area looking for a spot.

Gasoline Alley Coffee NY: Manhattan: Soho 1pm Friday 29th August 2014 Four Stars This super small coffee place makes a delicious cup of joe. The $ 4 Cappuccino was worth every cent. The coffee had a touch of acidity, a nice sweet aroma, a light body, and almost chocolate taste. The Trinity of Espresso, Steamed Milk, and Foam were in perfect harmony. I have no complaints but absolute praise for the cup. The only problem with the place is that there are only two stools to sit on. Therefore you cannot enjoy with leisure. It is more of a stop in, order, and get out sort of place.

After seeing a friend post an earlier visit via Foursquare, I decided to follow suit like a willing sheep. Sporting a more modern look than the green and black décor of countless Starbucks, Gasoline Alley Coffee provides a sleek, intimate interior for your coffee experience. Enjoy the wonderful view of your fellow New Yorkers frantically rushing to their destinations while you slowly sip your espresso before doing the same. You’ll find a non-pretentious environment to enjoy your house drip in an area that(sorry) is rife with pretentious hipsters. When they’re not expertly crafting a perfect cup of java, the baristas are engaging and personable. While my experience with house drips are a mixed bag, I really enjoyed the flavorful Intelligentsia Coffee blend. I won’t bore you with a long-winded description about the floral notes and acidity, but trust me when I say it’s damn good joe. In addition to coffee, Gasoline Alley also carries treats from local favorites like Dough and Mast Brothers Chocolate. With it’s excellent service and attention to detail, I’ll be back soon enough to Gasoline Alley for my caffeine fix.
