This place is closed but still up on Unilocal and google map. They don’t have any of those menus reviewed on Unilocal, but just cold lunch box in the refrigerator.

2 stars is «Meh. I’ve Experienced Better». I gave this place a second shot but it wasn’t worth it. I ordered the Kalbi lunch platter. The most remarkable thing was that the rice was really gross. It had a terrible flavor. The meat was dry and flavorless. The sides were adequate but unfulfilling. Overall, I wouldn’t try this again or recommend anyone to it.

The food was great. Cool idea of Japanese/Korean fusion. I had a chicken katsu with jap chae, brown rice, a fried egg, 2 mandoo, kim chi, cole slaw. It cost $ 17 including delivery. The flavours are there and the quantity and price are very reasonable for the taste. Financial District does not have much to offer when it comes to food. This is a solid option. Constructive criticism: The fried egg in my platter was slightly overcooked(didn’t run much when popped). Cook it less next time. The food arrived cold.(–1 star) The presentation(yes presentation), is quite nice. It kind of comes in a plastic bento box. The rice was nice and al dente. I am a fan, just make sure you deliver it warm if I’m 3 blocks away and don’t overcook the egg.

Ran out of funds on my DollarBlast Greencard last week so I figured I’d pull the old«oh shit order» on the no-good clowns at this joint. Got totally boned when they just pointed at an ATM and dumped my plate back in the feeding trough. Not only is Korean food just below applesauce in the«desirable food pyramid,» but it’s pretty well known as the universal constipator and mostly made up of wood or bonemeal. It’s less a cuisine and more a composting really. Your stomach and anus squelch and sweat noxious fumes, puckering and heaving, begging for release that just won’t come. Went up the street and waited a few hours for a dash to happen at old SBUX and the oh shit worked masterfully. Forget this wacko slophouse.

Def order your food before going there to eat. I ordered once right when I got into the place and it took almost 30 mins for them to bring it up to me. I ordered the Masubi and BOY was that worth it. It is 4 pieces but they are big so I wouldn’t order much more of an entrée after that just a small app possibly. They give you those free yogurt drinks which is BOMB. Just rmb it is located inside of Yoganics and there is seating on the upper level!

Let’s start with the good. I got the bulgogi lunch special and you get a great variety of stuff with that. Dumplings, japchae, some banchan that I can’t identify, rice, and your entrée meat. It’ll stick to your rib, but it’s also a fair amount of money for a lunch special($ 9.50). The bulgogi was really weird. I’m from Philly and it had the most bizarre flavor of cheesesteak meat. It was also went kinda overboard with the sweetness, to the point of being almost candied. The japchae were pretty good, the banchan I couldn’t identify were pretty good, the dumplings were too greasy and didn’t have much flavor. The rice was rice. I do appreciate that they have a brown rice option which I want sometimes. What is threatening to destroy this place is that it barely exists. It is inside Yoganic, the frozen yogurt shop that is at the address, and there is almost no signage for it whatsoever. It’s less like Gangnam is a Korean lunch spot and more like Yoganic has a secret menu of Korean food. In order to actually get your food, you’ll need to take a leap of faith: walk up to a counter that for all the world looks like it is only for ordering frozen yogurt, and say, I would like some Korean food please. Against all odds, it will work, but it will only be okay.

Had to refresh the review. I have to send rave reviews for the delivery. But an A-ok-Meh 2.5−3 stars review for their pickup. I hate to refresh reviews and give a bad review but I have to. I ordered their lunch special. So I decided to go here physically for pickup just to grab it quicker. Ordered from work and planned to pick it up. It said be ready to pick up in 20 minutes. Took a walk to Duane Reade bought some stuff, and went to Gangnam to pick up my food and eat it there. I ordered at 12pm… went there at 1220, it still wasn’t ready. Ok fine, I still had 30 more mins to enjoy lunch before I had to run back to work. 10 mins later the person at the counter said«It’s not done yet, sit upstairs I will call you.» 10 mins later I came down and waited by the door the person at the counter passed me twice until I stopped her and said«I ordered 40 minutes ago. 40 minutes.» My friend already got her food but I still haven’t. She had to eat hers before it got cold and she was starving. And 40 minutes later I did not get my lunch. Understand that LUNCH in FIDI does not take 15 minutes let alone 40. So this really annoyed me. I had to take my lunch and go back to the office instead of having lunch outside of the office for once. Anyways do not put 15 – 20 minutes pickup if you meant 40. Still great for delivery and customer service when they miss something. But unsatisfied picking it up there in person. Never physically going there again.

I love Gangnam! But first of all, make sure you walk into Yoganics to find Gangnam hidden inside. I ordered through Seamless and it took me a while to realize they don’t have their own entrance. I went with their spicy pork belly lunbh box, which includes two sides of kimchi, two fried dumplings and japchae. It is very filling for $ 9.50. I was suspicious at first but this place is pretty legit! I am definitely coming back to try other things on the menu.

The hospitality here is what is compelling me to give them four stars. I’m a sucker for personal handwritten notes. I’d placed an order for the spam covered with rice wrapped in seaweed and their chicken tempura Korean curry kinda late in the evening. They called me to let me know they had run out of the chicken tempura, but would I like to substitute with something else and even ran down a list of meat options for me. So I asked for the bulgogi(meat-dish) on the side. I received my package all neatly wrapped in little boxes and what was included was 1) a yogurt drink; 2) spam covered rice wrapped in seaweed; 3) bulgogi; 4) curry and the rice(separated out so I could eat the rice with the bulgogi too); AND5) fried red bean pancake dessert with a handwritten note on the box that said«thank you for understanding». Nice. I do understand. I am easily won over by customized hospitality. :) The food was like K-town fast food and hits the spot with the extras that give it a homey touch. The curry was really spicy with edamame in it. I think I only ate about 1⁄3 of everything(it was too much food), but I felt happy and amused to be eating my food. And how cute is the Gangnam name. I know it is last year, but Gangnam was everywhere. Some girls I know who had gone to a third world country to volunteer ran into children in abject poverty who asked them if they knew Gangnam. One of the Superbowl commercials last year had Gangnam in it. And every little box of food you get has a Psy sticker on it. Really smart marketing.

Often have come here for lunch since I work nearby and it is definitely a place I go back to again and again. Okay, it isn’t the best Korean food I’ve had and it most definitely isn’t the least expensive. However, for the area the pricing and portion they give you it is pretty decent. I usually get the jaeyuk bokkeum lunch special and can only finish half at one sitting. It tends to be a hit or miss with the texture of the meat. I’ve gotten it on the drier side and sometimes on the softer but oilier side. Though, thanks to the flavoring, I can forgive the inconsistent meat. I really like their japchae too. They keep it simple with spinach, carrots and sesamw seeds. Have tried their egg rolls and dumplings separately as well and they’re both good.

Like someone else said on here, I’m surprised at the number of 5 star reviews. I got some sort of a bulgogi platter. The meat was sort of dry, not much flavor other than sweet. The kimchis were okay, nothing spectacular. Overpriced boredom in my mouth, no thank you. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well you ain’t fooling me twice! A friend of mine ordered from here before I could stop her and had a very similar experience. I failed as a friend. Korilla truck is for sure better than this.

I would order from here every night but then I’d be eating Spam Musubi all the time. They are the only game in town for Musubi since L & L closed. Two varieties classic and one with kimichi, both delicious. Porky spring rolls were banging. Korean food here is excellent. located inside Yorganic and on Seamless. Every thing I have had delivered from here has been delicious. Yum yum yum.

I saw the name«Gangnam» on Unilocal and I was so excited that there was another Korean Lunch spot open up at FiDi. I walk around the area and I have never see«GANGNAM». So I look through Unilocal.Surprisingly, it has the same address as my fav lunch spot«yorganic». My friend told me I just have to walk in and ask them fro the GANGNAM menu. I don’t know why I find it awkward doing that. I have been to Yorganic so often that they remember my name. So everytime when I want something different. THANKSTOSEAMLESS! I just put in my order and pick it up after 15 mins. So far I had a bowl with bulgogi beef. and a lunch platter with kalbi. Every meal is serve with Yakut(korean yogurt drink). which I love it because you can«wash» away your breath. Lunch is much more worth it because you get — meat — rice — 2 dumplings — kimchi — japchae I am glad Gangnam is here. however the price is slightly more expensive. but is still«manhattan» price.

This place is the same as Yorganic. When I tried to find it on Google Maps and Unilocal Map, it keeps showing«I’m here» but with Yorganic name. I was so confused and walked back and forth trying to find Gangnam. Finally I decided to go in and ask where Gangnam is. The young lady at the cashier stand told me it is here. I was drawn here because the Unilocal pictures look too good! I spent a few minutes glancing over the menu. The young lady told me that normally their combo deal is the most popular. During lunch time, it comes at discounted price at around $ 9-$ 11. It comes with a small drink, something like Yakult. I ordered the bulgogi entrée. I was here with a friend and we ordered two entrees. The young lady told us to wait upstairs since there are a couple of tables there. We waited for awhile. After about 10 minutes, a brown bag was brought to our table but there was only one entrée included. We were confused and went to ask. For some reason there was a miscommunication and they only made one order of our entrees. We had to wait for a bit for our second entrée to arrive. They apologized and included an extra drink and some extra kimchee. They also serve fro-yo upstairs and students get 10% discount with valid student ID. I tried its fro-yo and it is good. My guess that they don’t change the name from Yorganic to Gangnam is that if they operate like a regular restaurant, they would have to have a public restroom because it would be a sit-down restaurant. But I don’t think fro-yo/dessert places require to have public bathrooms. That is just my guess why they don’t change the store front name. I only guessed it because I didn’t see a restroom sign when I was there.

Being a fan of Korean food, I’ve been wanting to check out this place for awhile. Be advised that the place is pretty much strictly take-out, but when I went last week, the weather was nice enough for us to take our meals out and enjoy them on a bench near the water =). Multiple reviews have already mentioned that the place is located inside Yorganic so don’t be confused. There will basically be no signage to let you know you’re in the right place, although if you look closely, you will spot a Gangnam logo sticker(with Psy’s cartoon head) on the door. Just march up to the counter and let them know you ordered food from Gangnam online. I got the This Little Piggy Went Gangnam Platter(Jaeyuk Bokeum) which comes with your choice of japchae or dukboki(I chose the japchae), kimchi, some pickled turnip, 2 dumplings, as well as white/brown rice and a mini yogurt drink that’s still slightly slushy, so cute! The pork itself was quite tasty and the portions were huge, definitely enough for a second or perhaps even third serving! FYI the food reheats well, which is another plus. Check it out if you’re in the ‘hood!

Glancing through the photos on Unilocal,I was surprised to find the Yorganic storefront in the collection. Searching Yorganic on google, I discovered that Yorganic and Gangnam were the same address. What? Time for some due diligence. I called the phone number listed on the Unilocal page, and asked if we could come in and order. Sure, but we’d have to ask Yorganic for the Gangnam menu. Nevertheless with all awkwardness, we were determined. Though a 15 minute sketchy wait for the guy in an Yorganic shirt to bring in our Gangnam food, the meal came nicely packaged in a divided to go box. I got the lunch special box with kimchi and bugolgi; it came with a side of fried dumplings, japgae, kimchee, and even a bottle of Korean yogurt milk(albeit slightly frozen). Gangnam was the epitome of «hole-in-the-wall», as the piping hot food was savory and fresh, delicately made and certainly did not fall into the category of «to go» boxes. The well marinated beef, the greasy but delicious japgae, the pan seared kimchi — wow, this is definitely comparable to Koreatown. The sketchiness makes it better.

Umm… secret Korean restaurant(if you can even call it a restaurant) masquerading as a health food store(Yorganic)? I’m intrigued. I found this place on Unilocal and Seamless while I was looking for good lunch options in the area. I can only take so much Hale and Hearty and Lenny’s is my last resort option because I love their sandwiches and I never want to get sick of them. So I should have read the Unilocal reviews more carefully, because after placing my order on Seamless for pickup, I could not find this place at all. Coincidentally, I was standing outside Yorganic when I called, as if I had a subconscious Korean food radar. The food is just as catchy as Psy’s song. I will certainly be back for more. I ordered the Kalbi lunch box, which comes with rice(choice of white or brown), 2 fried mandu, shredded pickled carrots and radishes, kimchi, and japchae. I used a discount code on Seamless so it ended up costing me a little under $ 10, but generally, it is $ 11, which is pretty standard for food in the neighborhood. Nevertheless, if you’re looking to spend a little extra, give Gangnam a try — you get a lot of food AND get this — two yogurt drinks! If you grew up in an Asian household, you’ll be reminiscing about your childhood in no time. If it’s been a long week, you’ll be wishing you had some soju and Sprite to mix it with. The«psy’des» are decent. I generally shy away from bento boxes because the shu mai tends to consist more of fat than meat, and I rarely find fresh avocado in my California rolls. Not the case here. The beef mandu are crispy and meaty with a decent amount of meat and veggies. They actually ended up calling me to tell me they ran out of japchae and asked if they could substitute ddukbokki instead for free. TOTALLY fine with that, and I was really happy about it too, because the dduk was just as good as you would find it at a any reputable Korean restaurant, and spicy too. The kimchi, however, is not so good, and I didn’t end up finishing it. They give more kalbi than I would have expected, and as generous as the serving is, I could not help but feel somewhat disappointed that the meat was somewhat bland. Perhaps I’m used to eating it fresh off the grill, but I really missed the char that makes kalbi so mouth-watering. But don’t let the disappointing kalbi keep you away. This meal is certainly much better than many of the options in the area at comparable prices. I’m not really sure how you would order when you get to Yorganic, because I didn’t see a menu. They really need to do a better job putting up signage, but I’m sure they can provide a menu if you ask.

I am updating this review after giving them another chance. The spring rolls are still delicious! Instead of the Kimchi Fried Rice I ordered Little Piggy Went Gangnam(Jaeyuk Bokeum) lunch platter. Kimchi Fried Rice is one of my favorite things to get in K-Town so I didn’t want to order it again and risk being disappointed again. The pork is tasty, the brown rice not too dry. My coworkers enjoyed their bulgolgi.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1) Quick delivery 2) Not too expensive(for NYC) 3) Decent flavors 4) Good portion size Cons: 1) Kind of bland and dry(got the bibim bap in a bowl) 2) Wasn’t something I’d order again… very simple and nothing special 3) Kimchi didn’t seem fresh…

This place is probably best option for k– food downtown, definitely the best in Fidi, hence the 5 star rating. I’m just so happy there is a good option when the mood for k-food hits and I don’t have to trek all the way up to 32nd! I’ve ordered delivery from here twice and they are very quick, I must also say the service here is impeccable. I ordered the ramen noodles and was very impressed with the packaging. I have the soup in one container. The noodles, pork, vegetables, and kimchi came in a separate bowl container big enough for me to pour in the soup and comfortable eat out of it. The kimchi chigae(stew) was flavorful and had good portions of kimchi and pork. I may order this again next time and throw in some other goodies from home like spam. yum. My favorites however are the fried mandoo(dumplings) were really good(super crispy) and the galbi, good flavor. You can’t go wrong with either options.
