I had happened to see a small ad for a Romare Bearden exhibit at this gallery in the Sunday NYT, and so I found my way up here late on a Saturday afternoon, for the last 45 minutes of of the exhibition. Glad I did – it turned out to be a collection of ~50 pieces(New York, Jazz, and the Bayou), all owned by a single anonymous collector, who was now seeking to sell them. A handful of people came through the small space in the time I was there, but mostly it was just me with Bearden. Lovely.
