Usually fairly crowded but the staff works quickly so you get in an out in no time. Went yesterday and an employee noticed that I was having trouble holding my phone, wallet, salad, and coffee(work in the building so I usually just come down with the essentials for lunch and leave my bulky purse in the office) and offered me a bag to put everything in. Nice touch and very much appreciated!

Financier is generally pretty good. I typically order a caffé breve, and they’re always able to come up with half ‘n’ half, of which even Starbucks doesn’t have a great record. And the salmon salad is good for lunch. Hudson Eats draws off a lot of the lunch crowd, and I can usually dart in here and grab a salmon salad. However, I’m writing this review because I just ate a damp and gummy croque monsieur. This is approximately my third croque monsieur from this place, and the others were passable. But, this was ludicrously bad. I was torn between walking it back down and just eating it and getting on with my day, so I took this third route of writing a negative Unilocal review.

Alarm clock rings, time for work and misery has taken over when all I want is to sleep. Thank you financier for your amazing coffee– whatever you choose — Americana, cappuccino, latte or a hot chocolate in the winter you will get your caffeine rush(minus the hot chocolate). Don’t forget your almond, chocolate or regular croissant with that — crispy and good. Muffins are not bad either. 12 o clock– lunchtime? What to get? Best mozzarella and pesto sandwich in TriBeCa. Good lunches _I wouldn’t travel far and wide for the food but definitely great soups, salads, quiches and sandwiches of your in the area. Friday afternoon — it’s been a long week and all you want to do is go home but it’s only 3 pm! You go to financier and grab a pastry. Such a hard choice as all of them are oh so delicious. I have tried the tiramisu, Napoleon, financier, cheesecake the lemon raspberry when in season cannot be missed. Macaroons are not your typical tiny cookies but a hefty large cookie that satisfies your macaroon craving after one cookie! Love this place.

i’ve been a loyal customer to this location for years and while they have good coffee and pastries, their salads have gone completely downhill. i used to go here everyday for lunch but now their salads are so unsatisfying! the salmon salad has thick cut cabbage as a ‘base’ which tastes terrible(who wants to eat cabbage for lunch in an office setting?) and is difficult to eat, there are way too many almonds it completely overwhelms the salad and the salmon is very dry. the pumpkin white rice salad is unappetizing and there’s no protein in it and their kale manchego salad tastes just like a ceasar. i’m just an opinion of 1, but more classic, flavor balanced and healthy salads would definitely get me to buy lunch here again. what is missing is. 1. nicoise/mediterranean salad with oil packed tuna, egg and greens 2. quinoa based salad with chicken, greens and dried fruit/nuts 3. salmon salad with greens and a grain like barley/farro I hope they will make changes ASAP!

I really liked what I had here. This store was located in the Brookfield Place shopping center. It’s a very nice space… feels all finance-y. In any case, there are some small tables outside to enjoy the food and drink because this place is a takeaway kind of place. They had a variety of coffee drinks, but I opted for a hot apple cider because I just can’t let go of Fall. I also had to get the Financier given the name of this place. I was surprised it was plastic wrapped instead of looking freshly made. I topped it all off with an apple galette just because. The hot apple cider was really good. For a small cup, it was around $ 3, not too bad. The Financier was $ 2 – 3, but was quite small. It was good but nothing to write home about. My favorite was the apple galette. The apple slices were very thin and the pastry was light yet still dense. This little pastry was gone in no time. Service was friendly and fast. I would definitely come here regularly if I worked here!

I love pastries here… my favorite were Apricot Pie and Chocolate Sacher cake but both have been discontinued(would have been 5 stars if they bring them back). My new favorite is Berry Cheesecake, it’s so light and soft, melt in my mouth, not too sweet like most(famous) NY cheesecakes. Chocolate Mousse cake is also very good.

I work in the building so I come here every morning bc its the closest and the coffee is good. That being said the service is HORRIBLE. They will have 5 people behind the counter puttering around and I will stand there the ONLY person in line for several minutes before someone finally asks me what I want and then when I am responding they just walk away and do something else or have a conversation with the other 4 people back there. Then will finally come back over and look at me with a «what do you want» face, like its my fault I havent ordered yet. Its so rude and unprofessional. Then I have to say my order 9 times, 3 times to the person at the food counter, 3 times to the person at the register, and 3 times to the barista putting them on the shelf because 2 out of 3 times the drink is not what i ordered or they forgot to give me a pastry or they forgot the lemon in the tea. I do not understand why they dont write the orders on the cups like every other coffee place in NYC, it would make a monumental difference at a place like this with such terrible communication between workers, which again is strange becasue they are always talking to each other… just not about your order. Once you get through the horrible experience that it is here trying to order your food/drinks and get out with the correct order their product is good and that is why I gave them two stars. So if you are in need of a cheap good coffee or pastry of the shelf this place is fine, if you have a more than one drink or a drink that is more complicated than pouring coffee in a cup prepare yourself and make sure you double check it before you walk out the door. If you can spend the extra couple dollars go across the winter garden to Olive’s, service is far superior and the coffee is stronger and your order will be correct on the first try. Also please note my review is specifically for this location, I have been to others and they have had much better service.

The best bang for your buck in brookfield place. They offer pretty good strong coffee and a free bit size pound cake piece to dip in your coffee. I always tend to eat before I can take a pic to post on Unilocal but I am sure someone else has snapped a picture of it. The prices here are the cheapest in brookfield place also This place has all your coffee and specialty coffee needs as well as a big coffee container if you are feeling friendly and want to get coffee for your co-workers. I have this place is my coffee rotation for work and its worth a try if you are in the area. In short: — strong coffee — cheaper coffee than the competition in the immediate — free bit size pound cake with drink

Good place to stop for a quick snack and get a coffee. Nice location for people who live in the area. Also solid options.

I’ve stopped at their location in midtown before for a midday snack. Their pasteries are awesome, their coffee is good too(not fantastic). And I stopped in here the other day for breakfast. A simple bacon, egg & cheese crossaint and a cup of coffee. Considering the prices they charge, you would think you’d get a fresh made egg sandwich, but instead got a microwave(or so it seemed), egg with cheese and a slice of bacon. Really? And the coffee cup leaked over the top rim of the cup even though the top was firmly in place. All this for the«bargain» price of $ 11. Yeah, last time I stop here for breakfast. For that price I can get two fresh made sandwiches elsewhere, made the way I like(over easy), elsewhere and probably still get a cup of coffee along with it.

I love this place so much, I work in wfc4 and this is so convenient and better than Starbucks IMO, they have amazing coffee, the croissants are amazing as well. The line moves super fast and the people who work there are extremely nice and competent, which can’t be said for all of the other retailers in the area.

I stop here during the work week for my morning cappuccino or coffee on most days and from time to time for lunch. The cappuccino and coffee is usually quite good, a notch or two above most other places, although there is better in the city. And it also varies depending on who makes it. The food is fine, definitely recommend the hot sandwiches and the pastries, the salads are so-so. The service is usually prompt and friendly. In short, a much better alternative to Starbucks!

I came here often during the summer for drinks and small treats. Financier as a chain has some great selections of iced and warm beverages as well as dessert treats. This location is a little difficult to find given the construction in the center as of Summer 2014 but it is cozy and has a decent offering. Downside is that it is close to many of the offices so there will likely be a line in the morning and afternoon as professionals get their pick me ups. I ordered an iced chai latte which was decent. Made with actual chai teabag instead of just concentrated powder which most chain cafes now do — so this was a nice touch. I also ordered a pistachio and berry tart which turned out to be quite rich and sweet but didn’t taste as fresh as I had hoped it would be. I’m not sure if they had left it in the refrigerator for too long, but the texture was a little too hard and the toppings weren’t fresh. Would recommend other locations but I’m not super hot about this one.

The only time I ever come to Financier is when I’m picking up a box of macarons to give away. Everytime I come by this place there is always a line; whether people are coming for their morning coffee or afternoon pick me up. The staff is usually friendly but I can understand why some days they look sullen; the morning rush is no joke. If you want to avoid lines, come here around 2pm or after 4pm, there’s hardly ever lines around that time.

Some of their cakes and pastries can be dry, but Financier is a great place to quickly pick up a cake for a coworker on the fly when you’ve forgotten it was their birthday. I’ve had more luck with the mousse options than the chocolate, and more luck with their muffins(carrot is my fave) than their dry tarts and oversized macarons. You can also order Petits, a selection of mini pastries and cakes, if you’re looking to get a mix of sweets. Their chai lattes here are my go to drink. In addition, solid food for lunch when you’re too lazy to walk outside. Their ham and cheese sandwiches, and chicken truffle I think are the best of their sandwiches. Ask for it to be toasted. Salads are pretty standard lunch fare, bit pricey, but what do you expect from a café inside of the WFC. Have enjoyed the Chicken Caesar and Chef’s Salad(which is more cheese and meat than lettuce).

Delicioius Chocolate Croissant and Hot Chocolate!!! This is my go to place for breakfast and snack during work hours. The line is usually long cause of the shortage of coffee shops in WFC, but it moves quick, the staffs are nice and their drinks and pasteries are delicious. Definitely a place I don’t mind going back everyday.

This Financier is tucked away inside of the World Financial Center so you can take your order to-go and then enjoy the stunning view of the river from one of WFC’s table areas that are preset out for you. I did the soup and sandwich combo(fell under $ 10): French Onion Soup and the Financier Chicken Sandwich were my selections. Though I was extremely hungry — usually causing a bias that is in favor of the eatery — the taste of the food really didn’t appeal to me. The French Onion Soup was overladen with onions. I get it, it’s ONION soup so it should have onions, but that isn’t my gripe. It just had way too many onions and it took away from the potential of the soup quality. The chicken sandwich did not taste fresh and it was really quite a mediocre experience overall. I should’ve walked an extra 3 blocks to Chipotle instead — where they never disappoint.

Come here every once in a while in the afternoon for an Au Lait or a latte. Coffee is pretty good all around, and they give you a small Madeline with all specialty coffees(nice little touch). The Macaroons here while not the best I have had, do the job, and taste about right The lunch toasted sandwiches are also pretty good, a lot of interesting choices and a nice change from the usual stuff we have around WFC I cut out all breaded pastries from my diet, unless its a really special occasion so can’t comment on all of their other pastries, but I here they are good as well
