Expensive pizza by the slice $ 8.50. The pizza dough was a bit tough, not enough cheese to be called 4 cheese pizza. It seemed like a good idea to have brick oven pizza but i dont believe its worth the price. Service was fast and efficient.

There is a room with waiter service in the back and a casual area up front. And yes, it is absolutely worth the price. You just have to know what you like and what to order. Me? I love my Crunchy Brunchy and the 4 cheeses. The pepperoni is good but when you are in a gourmet pizza joint, don’t get the pizza you would typically be eating… I no longer work in the area but took the train during lunch today to see my friends and enjoy the pizza. Its worth the trip. PS: in my opinion the pizza isn’t as good when you do take out. This is the kind of pizza that is meant to be eaten right out of the oven.

Don’t advertise that you have a back room if we can’t sit in the back room! You’re telling me that I can’t sit in your empty back room when I just spent $ 17 for two slices of pizza at 100 calories per slice! Not enough calories for 8 dollars! Never again.

Omg that Felice slice. Fresh arugula. Truffle oil. Burrata cheese & mozzarella. Shaved Pecorino Romano. I ate this cold but it was so good. Could only imagine how fantastic it would taste fresh from the oven. Prior to leaving I saw a brand new batch headed straight for the display. The one with mushrooms and zucchini was ok. Can’t complain about plain cheese. The gooey-er the better. Tried a bite of the mini calzone that my aunt raves about, I’d still choose Felice any day. This location has the large dining area in the back. Gelato available. First and only pizza I was able to try in NY and I’ll never regret it, although I agree it is pricey. Indulge a little in the Big Apple!

Yes, pricey, but it is good– love it. If you LOVE the regular American cheeseeeee thick pizza, this is not for you. You should go get ones at the cheap pizza stand. This is more like a gourmet thin open baked toast.

Expensive pizza; bland taste. Nearly $ 20 for 2 slices and a coke. There is a lack of salt in the cheese and no sweetness to the sauce. The presentation is nice, but it is not nearly worth the price you pay. Better pizza can be had for $ 5 for 2 slices and a soda. Skip it…

I first encountered Farinella(but not this location) when I lived on the Upper East Side a few years ago. I loved the authentic thin crusts and flatbread style, not to mention the variety of specialty pies. This isn’t your typical, greasy New York slice and it’s also not cheap. Despite the price tag, I found everything here to be delicious. Slices are small and expensive, yes, but Farinella always seems to use fresh, quality ingredients and everything is really tasty. Seating might seem limited at this location, but they have additional seating in the back room. You’ll be able to have a look at the many specialty pies laid out before you. Then you’ll slide to the left and think you’ve misheard the cashier when she says«$ 14.95 for two slices of pizza… hmmm **If you’re looking for a great gourmet white slice, try the Quattro Formaggi or the Cacio e Pepe. Today I went with Cacio e Pepe(mozzarella, pecorino Romano and fresh black pepper) and the Amatriciana(pancetta, hot chili peppers). These were two Farinella flavors I hadn’t tried before today, and they were amazing! I was warned that the Amitriciana was«very spicy» by the young man behind the counter… Um, thanks dude, that’s kind of why I ordered the thing with hot chili in the ingredient list. It was spicy(but just a little kick) and absolutely outstanding. If I could afford to spend $ 40 on a pie, I would order a whole one of those. Farinella is always a win, as far as flavors are concerned. However, if you’re starving or on a budget, this is not the spot for you.

Always a delicious experience, no matter what you get it is always fresh, the flavors are amazingly complex yet simple. Definitely not your average pizza, fresh new gourmet take on a classic. I come here at least twice a week now, highly recommend!

My bad for not reading the chalkboard menu more carefully — but WHY did my slice of pizza, which was smaller than half a sheet of paper and almost just as thin, cost $ 8.45? Ran in here for a quick slice and almost had a heart attack seeing that price tag. The pizza was just okay — it was put in the oven for 30 seconds and given to me lukewarm. I got the Amatriciana and it was covered in fatty pancetta and one extremely spicy chili pepper flake(as pictured). My friend’s margherita slice was also nothing special. I know this place claims to have high quality ingredients and source their produce«locally and organically» but the taste(and price) was highly disappointing.

Gosh. I really felt the hurt of that $ 10 price tag I spent here on a meatball slice. I don’t know if I can say it’s worth it or not. For the neighborhood, the price is understandable. However, that $ 10 slice was probably unnecessary on my part. The slices here taste very delicious. Thin and super crispy when popped into their pint sized oven. I have tried the Polpette(Meatball) and Margherita. The Margherita is definitely worth it… what I’d do for a killer balance of basil, marinara, and evoo on some paper thin carbs. Try if you have money to spare and are in the neighborhood and also too lazy to walk anywhere else. For pizza quality and uniqueness, definitely a 5⁄5. However, for those in pursuit of cheaper pizza and a New Yorker style slice, this may not be the place for you.

The back room is such a pleasant surprise! When you sit in the back, pizzas are made-to-order and worth the price. They also have happy hour wine specials, and the host was phenomenal and very friendly. She explained everything with a smile, there is candlelight, a great painting, and fantastic options. I came in here to use the restroom but stayed for the great pizza and wine.

I found both the service(Maria) and the food most satisfying –friendly and delicious. Caesar salad was short on anchovy, but fresh and crispy. The bread was superb –light, airy, from pizza dough, I’d bet, with peppery EVOO. Pizza slices generous and savory –I has fungi and caprese. Rather jarring«Last Supper» art work in the small dining room might offend. See my pics.

This used to be my go-to spot. It’s near my workplace and it has delicious pizza. But They’ve welcomed the New Year by increasing their prices in about a 30%. In my case, the slice of pizza I usually get went from $ 6 – 7 to $ 9.80(!!!) The worst part is that you don’t find out until you pay for it. The prices are not on display. I’m sorry for the wonderful staff, but the owners clearly have no respect for their customers. I won’t be back.

Small but well kept space and friendly counter staff makes the pizzeria feel cozy, unfortunately the slices are pricey for what you get and lacking in flavor. You should go if… you’re looking for a quick bite for the purposes of sustenance only and have 12 slats to burn on 2 slices and a soda.

Okay, so if you know what to order, you won’t be disappointed. Things to know: –The seating situation sucks. There are 3 small tables and that’s it. If you want to dine a little better, you can go to the back, where, tucked behind a short hallway there is a dining room(sit down, waitstaff only) where you can get wine and full pies. — No student or employee discounts, which is too bad because the pizza is pricier than any other spot around So I usually get either the Siciliana, which has thin slices of eggplant with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce or a DOC slice. If I’m in the mood for something small, I’ll get a mini calzone because the sauce seems to be more flavorful and the cheese is sooo good. If I really feel spendy I’ll splurge on a Blood Orange Pelligrino. This place is definitely not for those that want a $ 2 slice. The slices run about $ 3.50 upwards to almost $ 7. That’s a lot. One slice is a good size, but you might be hungry soon afterwards. I have had a few forgetable slices, some that were defnitely not work the money. I will say that it is the tastier option in the neighborhood and I come here quite often(when I feel rich).

first time visitor who came in starving after a visit to fed ex kinkos next door. there’s lots of choices and the staff is lovely, but the pizza looks and tastes like elios from the box. the sauce is just not good. i looked longingly at don filippo across the street and wondered if their pizza is better. i should’ve trusted my stomach and went to papaya king. this was just closer.

Full disclosure, I was here at a party hosted by the bakery and Big Bus Tours — it feels wrong to not at least note the fact that I didn’t have to pay for any of it. But it would be equally wrong to let pizza this tasty go unreviewed. It’s expensive, that’s true, and in this neighborhood, that’s saying something. But at the end of the day, it is absolutely delicious. They call it Roman-style, a «palam» rather than a pie. Rectangular and with very thin crust, the emphasis is entirely on the flavor, and in my professional opinion Farinella knocks flavor out of the park. I had the good fortune to try their marinara, margherita, and prosciutto pizzas, each more delightful than the last. It should also be said that their sommelier was knowledgeable in every matter except that of who was featured in the painting on the back wall — but for that, I do not fault him.

This is a tough review, because I totally understand the people that don’t like Farinella. The complaints about the price are warranted; this is an expensive piece of pizza. With the toppings, you sometimes feel short-changed…for instance a pepperoni piece is $ 5.70 vs. a margherita at $ 4.50. What does the $ 1.20 get you? Four pieces of pepperoni. The Boscaiola at $ 6.50 looks even more expensive, but that comes much more loaded. I guess the best advice is to just look at the piece you are ordering and make sure you think it is worthwhile. Aside from these two legitimate gripes, the pizza is awesome. It is a crisp thinly sliced pizza(you actually get to pieces per order) and the taste always delivers. The ingredients are fresh and the place is clean. It is more upscale than other pizza places. I’ve seen some discussion that the pizza isn’t that good, and it is with those reviews I will have to disagree. I walk the extra couple blocks to Farinella everytime. P. S. I am decent sized dude and with two slices(my bill is usually in the $ 10 – 11 range) I am happy.

Pros: * Love the Tartufata(truffle cream, smoked mozzarella, mushroom, shaved Pecorino Romano, fresh basil, truffle oil) as this pizza is rich in flavors. The truffle cream is pretty heavy so I was full after 1 slice(2 squares). Cons: * I also tried the Filetto(Fresh cherry tomato filet, mozzarella, fresh arugala on top) and found this to be bland, it needs more punch whether it be different types of cheese or garlic… * Pizza is $$$$(typical of Midtown East) where 2 slices can run you upwards of $ 15!

I was on the way to the train station two days ago when I walked by this pizza bakery. My stomach was grumbling and the air outside was frigid. I opened the door, and there was various arrays of pizza shaped as a skateboard displayed in front. They were cut horizontally and the toppings looked heavenly. I stuck with the marguerita and pepperoni. The young lady helping me was very sweet and heated my choices. She then placed them gently in a cute take away box and a shopping bag for me to carry. Let’s just say I ate every last bit. The only con I would have is that the mozzarella lacked salt. The pizza itself had a very nice crunch factor and it being New York style thin which I LOVE! So I will be back to try their pancetta and mushroom slice. They are very innovative when it comes to the ingredients on how to make their slices delectable!
