I was there today with our team, which was 30 of us. They were able to serve us without any problems and the food was as good as it gets for the price that we paid. Gramma pie with pepperoni was just delicious and when me and my co-workers read the previous reviews for this place didn’t reflect with our experience. I will totally order again from this place

Not awesome but not bad. Just regular pizza without the fanfare. Didn’t blow me away. I do like: the service, the digital menu, cleanliness, variety. The pizza didn’t blow me away but I would consider coming back. It was not bad. Like I said, regular, edible.

I love how I can get thin slice pizza here! Most of the pizza nowadays are thick and loaded with so much topping that they fall onto the plate. That’s great but some days I’m looking for a thin slice with a soft crunch accompanying my bites. That’s when I come here. Compared to other pizza joints, Famiglia is clean and never too crowded. I like how they have no minimum for a credit card. However, it’s on the pricey side especially since the slices are thinner. I would need 2 slices here to satisfy my hunger here compared to 1 from other places.

Edible but below average pizza. Pasta is pretty good — nothing gourmet but fresh tasting and generous portions. I’ve been in the store and the guys were pleasant enough — Place need a facelift — but when I ordered by phone a couple of times the guy who answered was a bit gruff and kind of a jerk.

The pizzas here pretty good, on par with a bunch of them located in this area on 2nd Ave. I’m always shocked by the price of a slice of pizza here. $ 3.50 for a regular slice and almost $ 5 for a specialty slice with tax. I was used to $ 1 slices where I came from. Yeesh! But they do put it in the oven for you once you order and they are very good. The pepperoni is dripping with oil. But honestly, I’d rather have a good oily pizza than a bland non-oily one.

This place has what is missing from most modern pizzaerias… Great customer service. The pizza was as NY as it gets. Overall the experience was so pleasant I even came back and brought my family.

This is a problem with Famiglia… It’s easy to order from the wrong one:{ I went to the one 1398 Madison Ave

Extremely generic tasting pizza. There is absolutely nothing special about it that makes it worth close to three bucks. Many of dollar pizza shops are comparable.

Famiglia has decent sized pizza slices and the good quality is proportional to the price. Famiglia($ 2.50 for a slice) is better than the $ 1 slice places that I think use discarded candle wax for cheese. The neighborhood is pricey, a «value meal» at the McDonald’s across the street is $ 9 so Famiglia is an easy choice for cheap lunch.

One pizza spot of many in the area. I had two regular slices and they were run-of-the-mill serviceable pizza slices at 2.50 $ a piece; they were large slices, however. The place is clean and the staff were what I expected from a local pizza joint — friendly and attentive enough.

You have 4 pizza options in a 1 block radius, and this one is not the best but definitely not the worst. I’ve had enough of a variety to give a detailed review so here it goes: Pretty good meatball parm hero, their sauce is average but the hero is large and it’s covered in melted mozzarella. Their meatballs are also pretty tasty too! The garlic knots are fantastic and a great deal for $ 1.50. Their chicken rolls look weird but taste good, they are basically flattened but still there’s enough flavor in there to be satisfied. Sicilian slices are huge but are of average taste, I wasn’t happy with the cheese on this particular slice because it wasn’t melty enough. I didn’t have one, but the vegetable slices where flying off the counter when I was there last and it sure did look good. The have a digital price board with calorie counts, which is rare for this type of small mom and pop style pizza place. Prices are a bit on the expensive side other than the garlic knots. We also had to repeat things twice to the guy who took our order, and he would use the stereotypical phrases like«my friend» and«buddy» after everything he said although he didn’t fully understand. It’s an ok spot for pizza or pasta, just don’t expect the world from it.

Not much variety here. They only have items like calzones, knots and of course a limited variety of pizza slices. What pizza place doesn’t even have pinwheels? There wasn’t much to choose from. However, I ended up getting the broccoli and grilled chicken slice. It was almost $ 5 which I thought was a bit much. But that’s city pizza prices I suppose. I felt very rushed with my order(even though the place was empty) and the guys working there were ignoring the customers in line. Nothing special about this place.

My favorite local pizza spot. I would say a little bit above average but not anything too crazy. I always love my pizza, and they usually have a good selection. The service is fast and friendly, the place is clean, and there is almost always an open table. Also I love the garlic knots and I think you get 5 – 6 for like $ 1.50 or something crazy! Makes it pretty hard NOT to get them every time I go in. Probably not a good thing, but oh well. Lastly, their drink selection is oddly vast. Grape soda? Didn’t even know they still made that, but fine by me.

Typical pizza joint with the traditional offerings: plain, pepporoni, sausage, veggie, etc. Clean inside and friendly staff.

Great crunchy and fresh pizza and I say this with authority as I am from Brooklyn and had my share of cheese pizza. The staff is also one of the friendliest I have ever encountered. I am here at least once a week despite being a fitness freak.

The pizza wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. Get the garlic knots. Seriously. Don’t even get pizza and just get the garlic knots.

We stopped by here on the way to the hospital for special surgery because of the location. I was afraid they might admit me then I would be starving so we got some pizza. They have been around since the 1970’s. I think the low reviews are coming from transplants that are eating at American artisan pizza places in NYC. I am not saying it is great but it is standard for what you used to get in Manhattan. From their web site– If you are used to my reviews you know I said in Manhattan the focus is on the cheese and this is in keeping with that. Although unlike real NY Pizza they have on their menu: cheese slice” which is probably to cater to transplants.(NY Pizzerias never use the terms cheese slice) but usually regular pizza or plain. I am posting Grimaldi’s menu as an example.
