Eva’s is a place I recently discovered and it’s simply an amazing restaurant. The food is varied and delicious. Particularly there signature carrot cake muffins! The staff is always polite and eager to serve. If you’re in the Village and wanna to have a hearty meal, I highly suggest giving Eva’s a try! Especially if you’re looking for a great post-workout meal :)

I used to come here many times when I was a college student, broken and hungry. They used to give out so many coupons right outside of my school library($ 2 for a sandwich) that it worked out perfect on those weeks I ran out of meal swipes. The sandwiches were pretty decent and the service was quick. I would choose this place over any sandwiches chains that seems to be growing ever more in the city. The food here is pretty solid for the price I am paying.

Hard to find a good balance of health and taste. Eva’s strikes that balance beautifully. I tried their double feature bowl which is veggies and grilled chicken sauteed in some light soy sauce and served over brown rice. It was simple but very tasty. Not overly powered by soy sauce, but enough flavor to make it enjoyable. I like to think of it as a healthy chinese food bowl. Really enjoyed it and I’ll be ordering again.

This place is a hidden GEM! I am constantly in the city taking all types of fitness classes and it is so nice to know there is a place that provides healthy options and does not break the bank! I was almost shocked when I had my first wrap and a FREE sample of carrot cake protein muffin. The staff was so nice and warm. I am always so hungry especially after a workout and I find most places the dishes just don’t fill me up quite as much. You will not be disappointed by the portion you get and it still is all controlled portion. You won’t feel guilty about it either. After my first visit, I inquired about having muffins at a fitness event in Jersey. There was a sign about Eva’s donating muffins to a special event if customers had one coming up. I was skeptical that I would even get a response especially because my event was in NJ! Kevin, answered me right away. He was so supportive of my event and offered as many muffins as I wanted and all he asked was that someone could pick them up. MY event was so fun but I can honestly, say the muffins were SUCH a hit and treat. Without them, it just would not have been as fun. There was enough for people to take home and everyone wanted a menu. After the event, I forgot to take pictures and I still apologize for that because Eva’s deserves nothing but great feedback and promotion. Kevin was just so happy the event went well and continued to offer their muffins and even gift certificates to raffle off for events to come! It’s little things like this that turn out to be the biggest things. Customer service is definitely hard to come by at times. This place is doing it right and doing it healthy. I love that they provide such support for people they do not even know! There are times my boyfriend and I come in the city and we just go out of our way to stop by to grab a muffin just because it is that good. Thank you EVA’S KITCHEN!

Large portions, Kind servers, Athletic Mediterranean. The walls showcase acrobats and athletes which, to say the least, is motivational while eating delicious, moist carrot-protein muffins. The tortilla they use for their wraps is flavorful– I was struck by how good it tasted. The Mediterranean Burrito went too quickly! I also ordered a side of protein and they gave it to me in a coffee cup. I felt badass eating a cup of chicken like it was coffee.

I am extremely impressed with the food here. We ordered the classic vegetarian combo salad, the greek salad, an apple pie, and glasses of carrot and ginger juice. The vegetarian and greek salad were perfect: the baba ganoush and hummus were seasoned fantastically. The ginger and carrot dressing pairs well with the leafy greens, and the feta cheese adds a nice salty touch. The real star of the show, however, are the vine leaves. These are grape leaves wrapped in a delicious filling of veggies and rice. Order extra. Trust me, you’ll want more. The apple pie was good, but needed more seasoning. The juice was excellent. I will definitely be back!

Ordered a wrap and a side of hummus, the hummus came in a coffee cup with no pita or anything. There didn’t seem to be an option while ordering to get a side of pita or anything to go with this hummus either, so I’m not sure what they expect me to do with it. Is this intentional? Do you normally give people hummus in coffee cups?

I’ll admit. I was skeptical. Many of the dishes served in this place reminds me of the stuff I use to whip up in my college kitchen. How many grams of protein should I eat if I weigh 200lbs? All of them. I ordered the New Yorker Wrap since it had a couple of my favorite things: hummus, falafel, and chicken. Now, a lot of people have said that the chicken breast here is dry. I have to say that I could really tell as the chicken in my wrap was surrounded by so many other moist food items. The wrap was on the large side. Think Chipotle. It also came with 2 sauces: one tahini, the other a mild, tangy hot sauce which I would buy by the bottle if they sold it. The wrap was satisfying and tasty. I have my qualms about how«good» it is for you since it most likely bordered on 1000 calories just judging by it’s size and heft, but hey, that’s why Jared went to subway and not Eva’s. The bro didn’t lift. Speaking for the New Yorker Wrap alone, I would say that it exceeded my expectations, although admittedly, my expectations were quite low. I will probably order some other stuff from this place to try in the future.

I am impressed that we ordered two items and my bf, who can eat enough for 3 people, was so full he could barely finish half my dish + his(he eventually did though). Oh, and it cost less than $ 32. Yeah. I like to balance my eating /gym time, and I know I’ve been a bit lax with my eating habits + budget. So what’s affordable, filling and healthy without being a salad? This place. There’s plenty of seating, which was great, but it was very hot when we walked it. There’s a bathroom, but you’ll have to ask for the code. We walked up to the menu, and while I was squinting and trying to figure out my order, a lovely woman behind the counter offered us mini carrot muffins. For free. I was so happy and didn’t hesitate to eat it before actually ordering(they’re tasty). I ended up getting the power plate(2 burger patties, 5 baked egg whites with chili over it) and he got a plate with chicken, hummus, baked egg white, cucumber and tomato. When you get the tray of food, it also comes with these glorious carrot muffins, and wheat pitas. Now… the two me disappointing bits of the meal were the pitas and the chicken, and sadly keeps me from giving 5 stars. The pitas aren’t toasted but, mine were pretty hard(stale). The chicken was also pretty dry, and the hummus couldn’t save it. My plate was pretty solid. It’s a hefty plate, in both weight and how filling it is. From the picture, all you see is chili, but the the plate is layered. The bottom layer is the baked egg whites, which provides a nice textural element, but also a balance to the stronger chili flavor. The ‘2’ beef patties is really a layer of beef patty over the eggs. Then it’s topped with chili, which is mostly beans. Mind you, this is in an 8 inch round aluminum tin; filled to the top. A person who leans towards slightly heavy protein means, could have this for at least 2 meals. What makes this place awesome; staff is super friendly(including the guys in the store), free carrot muffins!!!, the dish I ordered, the quantity /price, I left the place without feeling gross.

Where have I been all this time. Eva’s is now my favorite no frills, filling, healthy, and delicious lunch spot!!! I was walking down 8th st after yoga looking for a bite that was guiltfree. Oh wow the options here are endless. I got the turkey guac burger which was more of a wrap cuz of its whole wheat pita, the turkey was lean and guac was creamy flavorful! Just the right portion for a post workout meal. They also give a complementary mini protein carrot muffin which was also delicious. Total cost was $ 6. Lastly the staff were friendly, so yes def coming back for more :) — Back here again the next day. I tried the sirloin burger and orange juice. Sirloin burger was lightly salted(which is good) but does not cancel out the flavor! Generously accompanied with diced cucumbers and tomatoes. OJ was sweet size was as expected. Burger was $ 6 and OJ was $ 5. Tip: if you spend more than $ 10 make sure u get a rewards card, I just got mine today!

Eva’s kitchen is a very special place to eat. When you first walk inside, it is a very down to earth and homely environment. There is also a store in the back where you can buy supplements for all your work out needs. Anyone who becomes a regular at eva’s will know that this place is the real deal because it is built by bodybuilders. The food here is all nutrition dense and healthy. All the staff here are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the gym so it is very easy to come in grab some food and chat with them. Some of my favorites off the menu is the lean and ripped plate which is just chicken and steam vegetable. This is one of my favorite go to dishes because my diet is 80 percent paleo and this dish is 100 percent paleo approved. If you get a chance, do try out ANY and ALL foftheir shakes/smoothies. In addition, their protein desserts are a must grab(their protein carrot cake muffin is my favorite. they have samples; just ask!) Whether you are a hardcore body builder or just someone looking for a nice place to enjoy some high quality healthy food, Eva’s has got you cover! P. S. they have a student discount so bring your Id P. P. S. they have rewards cards ask for one!

Highly recommend the McMullan Power Plate and carrot muffin. I’ve never called ahead to order take-out — I just stop by to order at the counter, but even on busy days, my food is ready in 5 – 8 minutes. If you choose to eat in, there’s plenty of seating. Quick service and filling, healthy food. I highly recommend the McMullan Power Plate and carrot muffin.

There’s no better place in NYC to kick off my Unilocal review life! How it took my a year to find this place, I don’t know but better late than ever! As a fitness professional, it’s very difficult to find quality, clean eats at affordable places anywhere, much less in Manhattan. After moving from Miami, this proved to be quite a challenge and life adjustment for me. Eva’s is the perfect spot for me to get in my meals and not be concerned about my strict diet. The Gennaro wrap is a lifesaver. Heavy on the protein but even more loaded with taste! My girlfriend and I fight over their protein brownies that taste just as good if not better than the real thing. Do yourself a favor and get to Evas in a hurry!

Amazing place for a no frills healthy meal! It’s not anything you can’t cook at home but it makes it a no brainer for those days you are lazy and still want to eat out or coming home from the gym and are starving. It’s reasonably priced vs all of its neighbors and the portions are huge! I order the veg combo salad often and I never can finish it all which is crazy! Huge spoonfuls of hummus and babaganoush! The only downfall is their delivery stops at 2nd avenue and we live on 1st in the east village. Oh how we wish they delivered to us because we would be ordering all the time… Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise to help me save money ha. It’s worth the walk across town to grab a bite from Eva’s!

You know you can trust a place like Eva’s kitchen considering they’ve been around since 1978. Quick, healthy, and comforting food without the stress of high calorie intake. Delivery comes quickly, and food always nice and hot. My go to meal is their egg white with chicken breast and veggies. It is a generous portion meal that usually splits into 2 meals for me. My tip to you is always request for their tahini sauces with any order.

I have a feeling that no matter what you order here, your food will be HEALTHY and DELICIOUS. The prices here are reasonable and the portions are large. I had a wrap with 5 egg whites, rice, chili, and guac. It was so yummy, and I didn’t feel guilty whatsoever. My friend had some platter that she said was really good. She works across the street and her exact words were, «Whatever you order, it will be good.» They even have a little supplement area in the back. While I don’t go out of my way for healthy food like this, if I find myself within walking distance, I’ll definitely hit this spot up again. Way to go, Eva’s!

I walked into this spot today because a friend of mine recommended it. I needed some supplements to support me in my journey to lose a few pounds while working out and living a healthier lifestyle. To keep it short and simple: This place has a ton of solutions for whoever takes his or her health and fitness seriously. I was helped by Stephen. Not only is he very knowledgeable when it comes to areas such as nutrition, health and fitness, but he is also very caring and will only recommend things that he has tried himself and truly believes in. Eva’s Kitchen has a plethora of healthy, nutritious things to eat and drink on the menu and is also stocked chock-full of interesting supplements. I can’t wait to go back to pick up some more products and try some of the foods they have on the menu here. It all looks tasty and healthy to me. We need more places like this!

Fresh, healthy, clean, and flavorful no frills kitchen. I keep coming back for the delicious chicken caesar wrap(and any drink), both for or under 10 $. Part of the allure and popularity of Eva’s is that it is next to impossible to have a decent meal in the West/Greenwich Village area for $ 10-$ 15.

Spectacular spot for post-workout nutrition. Can’t go wrong with any of the platters — they’re all well-balanced and generously portioned. Knocking a star off for price(couple of $ more expensive than a similarly filling meal e.g. at Chipotle, but definitely healthier) and IMO their steamed vegetables(which come in one of my go-to platters) could be a little more tender. Ask for the yogurt cucumber tzatziki sauce — it goes great with the complimentary pita bread.

This place is small but packs a mean punch. I was introduced to this place a few years back by a workout buddy. The food? Healthy AND delicious & reasonably priced. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. They also have a cozy yet substantial supplement shop in the back for all you bros & bras(i made a funny). The supplement associate is always knowledgeable, friendly & patient. If your into healthy food choices or scrumptious food that just happens to be healthy, give Eva’s a go. They are open til 11:00 p.m. 7 days a week! *I would have taking pics but their dish the Chicken Coop doesn’t photo as well as it tastes.

Great place to step up your eat clean game! Built towards a healthy eating style and for people who work out. There is a supplements store in the back. The menu is extensive! There are so many options its easy to get confused but I would say there is something for everyone– vegans, gluten free, low carb eaters. Also 10% discount for students. Seating inside is really nice, just a little dark which detered me from going in for a while We ordered the lean and strong plate with chicken, spinach, and chili soup and it was awesome! It has such a clean, homemade taste, nothing artificial. Also they give you a free mini protein muffin with your meal. And homemade dressings, we chose the orange ginger carrot dressing, also not an oily dressing and super yum. Definitely going to go back more often.

Eva’s offers consistently good and healthy fare at affordable prices. Their chicken is very juicy and well cooked. I often order the chicken, steamed veggies with soy sauce, over brown rice with a side of tahini. It’s a filling meal but a healthy portion. I love this place!

I don’t exercise. I don’t diet. Often eat chips for blast. Needless to say, I was verrrry skeptical as it’s called«Eva’s HEALTH Food» on seamless, and generally healthy=yuck for me. man, after the first bite of falafel and sips of lentil soup, I felt so sad for myself… been living in nyc 10 yrs, and only to have JUSTNOW found this gem. was SO good. ordered everyday for lunch since. so hearty and flavorful, I don’t feel like I’m eating«health food» at all. can’t wait to try every single thing on that menu.

Definitely going back to this place again. If you are looking for fast, friendly, and healthy service, this is the go-to place. I always saw Eva’s Kitchen items in my NYSC gym at Mercer, so that’s how I first heard of it. I never walk that far on W 8th, so I never passed it. Now I know that I was missing out. I went to try the«McMullen Power Plate» and it was quite enjoyable – and healthy! They also have a good amount of space to sit down and eat. I mean, just look at all of these great reviews from our fellow Unilocalers. You should try it out for yourself!

I’ve been coming here for almost 25 years! This is five stars for consistent product– fast food that is nutrient dense high protein comfort food for a low price. Grateful for this institution. I feel comfortable sitting here reading and eating alone. I often pop in for an egg white spinach wrap and a side order of lentil soup, great replenishment after a workout — the soup is so nice and only $ 1.75 as a side, even after they raised prices recently. The menu is huge — there are many more hearty grain and veggie dishes with savory tahini sauces. Falafel is yummy. Come for the protein fix not the atmosphere, it is cafeteria-like, efficient, they call out your order from the counter. the back half is a retail space with mega tubs of protein and supplements for hardcore body builders, and walls are decorated with fading articles, old menus and now a nicely updated assortment of Ricky Powell portraits of celebs(where it used to be a wall of wilted autographed headshots and bodybuilder glossies.) good to know: they also have a bathroom for customers.
