We went to this store yesterday — instead of to their Park Avenue location — because the reviews for this one were much better. And indeed, the two guys working there were *very* nice(the manager and a guy named Mohammed). Mohammed spent a lot of time helping me find the best pair of shoes for the miserable problem I’m having(a torn achilles tendon which has led to excruciating pain and a necessity for orthopedic shoes with a custom-made insert). It’s a rather small store and the selection wasn’t huge, but undoubtedly the latter is because there probably aren’t a lot of options. Still, I found a very comfortable pair of shoes that I’m willing to wear in public(ha ha) — and the nice thing is that they were a lot less expensive than the first pair I tried on, but there was no attempt to «encourage» me to stick with the pricier pair.

Superb service, really wider selection than many stores like this. The salesman diagnosed my problem immediately and correctly. I bought an expensive but comfortable pair of(expensive) shoes that look pretty nice. He also put a small metatarsal pad inside a pair of Keen mules and I was able to walk an astounding number of miles without pain. I thought the pain was under the ball of my feet, but his diagnosis left me pain-free. I’ll be back.

Always helpful, knowledgeable salespeople. Always great service. I do try to go there when the store just opens and before it gets busy. Salespeople helped resolve painful foot issues. No longer need to buy custom orthopedics from podiatrist($ 600+) after switching to their Finn Comfort line. Highly recommend, especially if you need shoes with considerable support and need to relieve foot pain issues. Wish they had a vegan line of shoes.

Excellent, friendly service and I left without a limp! I went to the 2nd Ave store after googling for a orthotic supplier. The website makes it look like you need an appointment to talk with a specialist but after a couple of nice emails it was pretty clear that you can just walk in and get help. When I went to the store there was only one person working(I overheard him say others were on lunch break) but he was attentive and polite while dealing with three customers simultaneously. He pretty much diagnosed my problem as soon as I took my shoes off, validated this using the pressure sensor, explained why my current orthotics were not doing the job, and found me the perfect replacement all within about 10 minutes. While helping someone else. I know the orthotics I bought were about $ 10 more than the current list price on Amazon, but for the professional service and removal of guesswork regarding what will work for my particular problem, it is well worth it. If you have foot pain I highly recommend coming and seeing the people in this store.

There is a small collection of top-quality comfort shoe stores in NYC and Eneslow is in that rarefied company. I ended up choosing a brand I’d never heard of called Durea that was $ 100 less than the Finn Comfort shoes I’d planned on buying and are much prettier and more feminine than what I expected to be able to wear with my varied medical issues.

I went to the one on Park Ave and the salespeople were so rude and had no interest in helping me… they just wanted me to buy the $ 275 shoes. I guess you are suppose to buy the first or second pair just so you don’t bother them too much. STAYAWAY. Bad attitude and very, very expensive.

This is a fantastic store! I have had orthopedic and foot problems, and they continually know just how to help me out. I came to them with a boot for a metatarsal stress fracture and they made me some really great orthotics with metatarsal supports for my sneakers after my foot healed. A lot of the orthopedic shoes are expensive, but the comfort in my feet has been well worth it. I recommend investing in their orthotics and the shoes they recommend for your feet if you’re experiencing any pain/discomfort.

One of my dear aunts wanted to buy me a pair of good snow boots for Christmas.(Early gifts are pretty sweet sometimes.) Unfortunately(and I say this with the upmost love and respect for her), it’s not a matter of me picking out exactly what I want off the bat. There is compromise involved, as her standards are stringent(…if she’s dropping $ 250, I’llgive her a bit of flexibility…), and damn it all to Hell if I don’t get something without proper arch support! We went, and the selection was pretty decent. They had plenty of well-built flats and whatnot for those folks looking for them, but I went the Route of the Boot. Off the bat, they carried lots of Uggs and Merrills. I fell in love with a pair of knee-high Merrill boots that were stylish yet weather-proof.(And let’s talk about good arch support! YEEEEAH!) The gentleman on the floor did something for me that hasn’t been done since I was, perhaps, in 5th grade: he measured the length and width of my feet.(Surprised to see my left foot was 7.5, while my right foot was slightly closer to 8. Call me a freak if you please…) He was kind and attentive, making sure my boots fit properly. Honestly, he took the time. No rush. It was more about getting the shoe that fit me best. By the time I left, I had a pair of sexy new winter boots. I’m all ready for whatever major winter storm Mother Nature lobs in the direction of NYC next!

I went to the shop on Second Ave at E. 79th. Obviously if someone goes there, they have foot problems. Yet, the sales guys would keep talking, without really listening to what I had to say. This annoys me, especially in a specialty shop. They had a product I really needed, but I’d rather not have to deal with them.
