Independent store and good customer service. Went to have a handle fixed on a rolling suitcase. A little more that I expected to spend($ 65) but done very well and on time. Saved from having to spend a few hundred on a new piece. I will use them again.

Don’t waist your time going here. Shop around before going here. Eastside luggage is over priced and they have little stock in store. Despite the website saying the Delsey model we were looking at was in stock to pickup, the store manager said they only have those item online and he tried to upsell me a more expensive one. Most of the stock in store is 25% more expensive than their online store. We went to Macy’s who had the case in stock and 40% cheaper than the website price for Eastside.

Replaced my carry on bag here after United decided to completely destroy my last one. Price was fair and the guy that helped me seemed to know what’s what. I didn’t feel pressured to buy a more expensive option. I didn’t try to haggle the price, but asked if I would have been able to get a discount if I had and the guy seemed to be truthful when telling me no.

to sum it up… THEYWON’T SHIPTOANADDRESSDIFFERENTFROMTHEBILLINGADDRESS!(and they will let you complete the order without any notification of this rule) …THEYWILLLETYOUPLACEORDERSFOROUTOFSTOCKITEMSWITHOUTWARNINGYOU(they allow you to even choose overnight shipping for out of stock items) I placed my order for a $ 600 luggage bag to take to China on 10⁄3 with overnight shipping. Two days later I call customer service to ask for a tracking number since I hadn’t received it and I’m told the luggage should be there today(Ok, not what I paid for, but okay) they say they’d have to wait until Monday to get the tacking number. Okay, not worth it since I should be getting it today anyway I say thanks for your help, I’ll just stick around to make sure I’m here for the delivery. Then I get a follow up call saying that the order I purchased wasn’t going to be delivered because the billing and shipping addresses didn’t match. WAIT A SECOND– Why was I able to place the order without anything saying«wait! no! billing and shipping must match» if the two addresses have to be the same? Why are you just NOW calling me to let me know? At this point, I’m peeved and I feel like I’ve wasted my time. Then they say«even if you did have the correct address listed, the item you purchased is also out of stock.» Okay, we’ve all been there, where you try to remember that usually the guy on the other end of the phone is not the one to yell at, he’s just doing his job, just following policy, BUTJESUSCHRIST! I was able to place the entire order without a SINGLE star, arrow, pop-up reminder, ‘click ok to accept’, big(or small) red text, just no notification to say ‘wait a second, you’re ordering an item that is out of stock and will take 7 weeks to get to you.’ Even after selecting overnight shipping, nothing alerted me to the out of stock status. Complete waste of my time, can’t believe they can’t even call the next day to say«hey, we have a shitty website so just FYI you’re luggage isn’t coming. Don’t get excited, don’t think you can cross it off your to-do list, you won’t see this item by your door for about 2 months.’» If you’re going to use these guys(which I don’t recommend) I’d call and make sure the item is available, and make sure you put in the same billing and shipping info. Oh– ps, the online chat was just sent to my email and I got a response the next day, not so instant.

Purchased the Delsey Helium X’Pert Lite 4 Wheeled Garment Bag a couple of weeks ago from Lalit for a rapidly approaching business trip. The bag needed to be delivered very quickly. Lalit took great care to recommend the correct bag to replace my last one and made certain all of questions were answered and I felt comfortable. Best of all the bag arrived on time and was a perfect fit for my needs. This is the second bag I purchased from them. They have always been great and I would recommend very highly. Great prices as well!!!

Placed order online. Order didn’t ship, so I called and they said they’d call me back. Never got a call back, but got an email later that day saying item wasn’t available and it indicated that when I ordered online. Their website wouldn’t let me order if it wasn’t. Funny because the day I placed the order I called and asked about the product and it was available. They were just full of excuses and don’t communicate well. Most online companies will price match their prices, but just pay $ 30 more and go elsewhere.

The service I received at Eastside Luggage was amazing! I first found them online where they had the lowest prices I found on several types of luggage(add the luggage to your cart and enter the coupon for the real price). I wrote to them when I realized they were her in NYC and asked if they honor their online prices and they said«yes». I later wrote them to ask if they had a particular style in stock at the store and they said they would by Friday. Friday I went in and saw the last set of the make I wanted and told them I could not take it home that day, but I wanted to buy it. They held it for me until almost closing on Saturday with no money down! They also told me that three people had wanted to buy the set that day, but they had promised it to me. So I’m now the proud owner of a new three piece Delsey luggage set for $ 300(a price that can’t be beat!). Add to this how nice and helpful everyone was and I’d say they definitely deserve all five stars!

I originally went to Macy’s to buy a new Travelpro suitcase, since they were having their 50% off sale. I quickly learned that the 50% was based on an over-inflated retail price. Bad deal. I searched for the bag on Google and found the same suitcase on Eastside Luggage’s website for ½ of the«50% off price» that Macy’s was offering. When I found out that they had a retail store in NYC, I was sold. The store has a modest selection on the floor. Yet, they have an attached warehouse with just about anything. The staff was very nice and helpful. I was able to get 2 Travelpro Platinum bags(26″ suiter and 20″ rollaboard) for the same price that Macy’s was selling just the 26″ suiter alone. The deal was amazing. I will definitely shop with them again.

Through ten years(2000 to 2010) of weathering travels from both U.S.A. and international travel my Pierre Cardin luggage shown signs of surviving eccessive turbulence volatility of Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s employee handling luggage. After researching and browsing through many avenues of Google, including Century 21, Target, and Macy’s mass department retailers for price and selection none were avail. I found Eastside Luggage from a tourist magazine of local events and advertisements of New York businesses which includes a coupon of $ 10.00 off with purchase over $ 100.00. Customer service is attentive and courteous in assisting my needs of size, color and questions. I specifically requested Samsonite luggage as I’m a loyal customer for years. I rate Eastside Luggage Shop four stars for their lack of selection.
