I came here today around 12:40 today to pick up lunch to go. I didn’t realize the place was so small. It didn’t matter since I wanted to take the food to go. I ordered chicken pad krow prow. With white rice. It took less than 5 minutes. Tender boneless chicken breast pieces, thinly sliced carrots, sliced onions and chopped red and green bell peppers in a hot and spicy sauce.

I love this place! Old school classic. Such good soup and the finger rolls are the BEST!

This is a standard cheap Thai place. You can get your usual and it’s dependable. No frills.

I wish there was a 3.5 stars. I think this place is A-OK. The pad thai is good(but Ngam’s is better). I tried one of their curry lunch specials once and it did not have that much meat, it had a lot of potatoes instead. Spicy-ness was on point though. I used to order here every other week, but the last time I ordered, the Pad Thai was about 20% less for the same price so I was disappointed. I have not been back in a while but I still think it is a decent and solid place when you are craving for some Thai food.

My boyfriend and I were originally planning to grab food at Mighty Quinn’s nearby, but we happened to come across this tiny little place. The place honestly looked like a small chinese take-out place, but there was a group of well-dressed people in there eating what looked like delicious thai food and drinking wine. So we were curious and decided to switch dinner plans. This place has the best Thai food that I have ever had! The Pad See Ew was just so well-seasoned and the shrimp in my boyfriend’s Pad Kee Mao was cooked perfectly. The people who work here try really hard to make your meal a great dining experience even though the décor/environment is nothing special. It’s most likely a small family business and the lady who was serving everyone was so sweet and attentive. This place makes me feel so warm and fuzzy because I love spending money at hole in the wall places/small businesses, especially ones that are this amazing. I will definitely come back over and over. Just be advised that they are cash only!

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants! The dishes are one by one just delicious. The restaurant itself is pretty small and nothing fancy or special but you can sit down if you want and enjoy your meal. We often have take out here as there are nicer looking places in East Village to have a sit down dinner, but the quality of the food and price still make it a top rated place.

Thai ice tea, Pad Thai, and a Garfield clock on the wall. This place gives me life in the simplest of ways. The food is delicious, the people are friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are affordable. The smallness of the dining area is what makes it charming. I love it here. It’s a bit of real New York still left in the city.

Straight up excellent food. I ordered the jungle curry and got the super spicy thai I was craving. The tiny dining area was grunge & intimate done right. Loved it.

Look carefully or you’ll walk right past the restaurant. The place is very, very tiny and can seat no more than 8 – 10 people. They are cash only! If you are in need of cash, take a 2-minute walk down the street and around the corner to the ATM on your right which will charge you $ 2.50. By the time I withdrew my cash and returned to the restaurant, I only had to wait another minute for my pork EV noodles to go. There could’ve been a little less oil and the pork was dry, but the noodles tasted very good and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. I would probably come again for a quick lunch. My go-to place for Thai food whenever I want to pick something up on my way home! The seating area is very limited, so the dine-in experience is probably less ideal. Love their noodle dishes and lunch specials!

Tiny place, seats 8, customer service is absent, food is decent/good and standard but nothing extraordinary. Realistically they’re a 3.5 and not a 3 but they’re just not good enough for a 4. Still recommend this place if you’re in mood for Thai but don’t come here to get blown away.

My meal was the Tao Hoo Pad Gar Prow which is stir fried tofu w/basil, onion and chili. I am really not on a health diet but figured lets try something different and spicy. The cashier was quite friendly as I asked not too hot since it had that red jalapeño next to it on the menu. The basil was quite fresh and flavorful which I love when cooked in a dish and you can actually taste the leaves. Overall plenty of carrots, onion, tofu and a side of white rice. Didnt really like the cabbage they added not a big fan. And the tofu was a bit chewy compared to what I am used too. When I eat tofu bbq or otherwise its creamy and not dry. The tofu here was very dry, would not order that again. Service was fast and very friendly. Yes and cash only!

Yummy! We were a group of three that squeezed in to eat in on a Monday. It’s a small place that will only accommodate about 10 people at most. We had the Tom Yum with shrimp, beef pad thai, green curry with chicken and Yum seafood combo.

My friend and I decided to try the pad kee mao for the first time. I usually get pad see ew, but I wanted to try something new. Honestly, I wasn’t in love with the dish, but I think it must have been just me. It was okay, just a little boring. The portions were large and it had a decent amount of shrimps. Not sure if I would ever come back, but if I do I would like to try other dishes. This restaurant is more like a 3.5 stars, but the waitress was the sweetest! She was friendly and she made sure that we didn’t need anything. Keep in mind that this is probably one of the tiniest restaurant you will ever step into. It literally has four tables; it’s more for to-go than a sit-down restaurant. CASH only!

I’ve only had the pad thai here but they make it just like it’s made in Thailand, and the only place I’ve really found that doesn’t Americanize the dish(adding whatever it is that makes pad thai reddish). This is my favorite pad thai place in the city. The place is small and only fits about 10 people, but the«hole in the wall» adds a more authentic vibe to the food.

Tiny, hole-in-the-wall, you’ve got the best Thai food I’ve had in NYC. I’ll keep it short: cheap, delicious food, decent preparation time, I want to take a star off because it is a hole-in-the-wall, but I can’t bring myself to do so. (I’m not sure if there’s a restroom here, Gotta come back to investigate.)

My friend Rob P and I hit up this joint for a dinner after dodging the throngs of hungry folks on neighboring St. Marks Place. After seeing 4 stars on Unilocal I was expecting a bigger, fancier establishment. From the awning outside, you feel like you’re stepping back into the 1970s, but maybe that’s a good sign that they’ve been around a while and have nobody to impress. Speaking of being impressed. I’ve never been to a take-out place/tiny restaurant that had a waiter with only 4 tables. I would not recommend a large group come here. As for the food, I ordered the Pad See Eew with Chicken and I was quite happy with it. My fellow Unilocalers did not steer me wrong this time as it was flavorful and a nice size portion. The only odd situation occurred when we had spring rolls arrive at our table that we didn’t order. Rob P thought I ordered them, I thought that they were complimentary. He took one, dipped it in the sauce before the waiter realized his error. Instead of letting us keep them, he swooped them away back to the kitchen. If you ordered spring rolls for take out at around 8PM and notice one was dunked in sauce you know who to thank(just kidding, i hope). Overall, no frills spot with solid food. I would return if I was in the East Village.

Found this mom and pop shop during a recent vacation and was pleasantly surprised by the authentic and palette teasing flavors that kept me coming back twice in a week. The place is super small but intimate but well worth waiting for a table or ordering take out. I ordered the pad-see-ew with chicken and absolutely loved it! Portion size was decent and my plate was cleaned off. Note: The restaurant takes cash only so go to the ATM beforehand.

I passed by this spot on my way home tonight and decided to give it a go. It’s definitely a hole in the wall spot and I wouldn’t have noticed it if I didn’t see two others go in there at the same time. Both their exterior and interior design is reminiscent of a Chinese take-out spot — faded, pale yellow sign awning and a few standby delivery bikes outside, and four small tables inside, with a bunch of random potted plants in all the open spaces and corners. I ordered the N5 — Pad Kee Mao, to go(stir-fried rice noodles w/basil leaves, chili, garlic, egg, bamboo shoot, carrot, onion, chinese broccoli & pepper.) It came out to $ 10.75 and was ready in about 10 minutes. The noodles were pretty flavorful with a mild kick, although not better or worse than your average Thai spot. There were only four small shrimps, but a generous amount of veggies, specifically broccoli and bamboo shoots. However, it was all so ridiculously greasy! If I wasn’t starving, I would have tossed it. I had to pour out all the oil that drained to the bottom of the container. After that, I transferred the noodles on top of a bowl with two EXTRASTRENGTH bounty towels and it soaked through that as well! ARGH. That is no way to eat. Sorry, will not be back. There are better Thai spots in the area, like Thai Terminal a few blocks up.
