I love this deli! I always come in while I’m washing clothes next door to grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. The guy behind the counter knows the few things I usually order and will ask me which I want. I appreciate that, especially since I don’t frequent the deli on a daily basis. Their prices are decent, the service friendly, and the food is always fresh.

Update phone number to current # 212−260−8200 Sometimes they forget what you order, so ask them to repeat the order over phone. Otherwise, great 24⁄7 delivery option when you’re hungry.

I’ve said before to my friends that this could be the single best bodega in NYC. After finding Regale Deli in Flatiron, I think I’m off that stance, but it’s close. If you’re ordering at the counter, you can’t go wrong. A sandwich is $ 6.50 and comes with chips(plain, from the counter, not Doritos or any other you choose), a can of soda(your choice from the fridge), and a pickle on the side. That’s their MVP deal right there. Their salads are cheap and good as well, and they don’t charge extra if you throw on tuna salad or chicken salad(unlike, say, the overpriced Gracefully on Avenue A, among many other places). The only things keeping EVF from a five star for me is the WAAAAAAAY overpriced beer and the $ 6 credit card minimum. This would normally be acceptable, but after finding Regale’s $ 3 minimum, the bar has been raised. Overall this place is solid. My friends love the Reuben they do here.

Solid egg sandwich + coffee. This corner deli underwent a facelift in the last year and is now billed as some sort of «health food» purveyor. Not so sure about that, though their fare is less greasy than that of many corner delis. The smiling guys behind the counter are friendly and fast with the breakfast sandwich and coffee orders and will likely remember your poison after a few stops in. They offer several breakfast specials that include a free small coffee, including 2 eggs on a bagel or roll for $ 2. They’re not Murray’s but they’re on the corner and they’re cheap.

I know it’s not fancy. I know it probably isn’t the best pizza in NY. But in my humble opinion it’s the best pizza around the corner from me, and definitely the best place for me to grab a drunken walk home slice. Let me say that this pizza is good enough to warrant cravings even when I’m not drunk, but I have the same policy with pizza as I do with cigarettes… I generally don’t allow myself to have such things when I’m not at the very least tipsy. Also, it’s open 24 hours. How can you beat that?

I came here once and got a slice(I think of cheese). First, they have a weird of giving wrapping it up. They put it on a plate, then put the plate in a paper bag, then put another paper bag on the other end. The result, unless you’re very careful, is that most of your cheese falls of. I wasn’t very impressed by this method, but was fairly impressed with the pizza. The next time I had it, my roommates ordered a whole pizza. This time it came in a box, which was much better. But the taste was much worse. It was overly cheesy and overly greasy. The white pizza with avocado tasted like potatoes, I couldn’t even finish a piece. The others were finish-able, but not worth it. Also, the guys behind the counter aren’t the friendliest of people… Not mean, but simply not very friendly(which is pretty much par for the course in New York pizza places)

Solid slice, 24⁄7. The smell of garlic will call to you as you walk home drunk. Sometimes I have to take a longer route home in order to avoid it(and by it, I mean obesity). Stick to the plain slices though, the specialty pies can be nasty.
