This duane reade is dirty and has a weird layout. The store manager Tony is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I work around the area, so I decided to stop by to purchase a few items for the office. During my visit on January 15, 2016 he followed me and watched me from the end of the aisle. I felt extremely uncomfortable and therefore, I left without purchasing anything. I certainly don’t need a low wage inept store manager treating me like a criminal. The check out line was super long too. I guess Tony felt it was more efficient to watch me, than help with the check out. I made my purchase at the near by CVS was CLEANER, nice and the employees were way friendlier! Better layout too.

this duane reade is really new and clean inside. nothing really special except for the fact that it’s open 24 hrs. it was very convenient to go to get water and snacks after a long day of sightseeing.

I like this duane reade. I go here for drug store items and also for pharmacy, and I’m pretty satisfied with the service. The lines move pretty fast, and they usually have what I need. I waited for a prescription for about 20 minutes the other day, and that’s pretty good waiting time for a chain drug store.

This Duane Reade is really large but is not totally logically laid out.
Furthermore, as I was waiting in the long line to check out, I grumbled to myself that I shouldn’t have even dared come in to buy a soda.
However, once I finally checked out, the cashier was really nice, speedy, and smiling. I left the store no longer peeved and actually feeling a bit positive. I feel like in other situations with long lines, one can tell that the cashiers are peeved, too, but this was a great, unexpected pick me up!
