This is a tiny little place over in Alphabet City. We came here for a simple happy hour cocktail on a Saturday early evening. The service is great and unpretentious. The music was good and not too loud. They have super comfy couches as well as tables. The place is small but nice. The Happy Hour is good and includes $ 6 house wines or $ 2 off cocktails which run usually around $ 10 – 12. Therefore for $ 6 – 10, you can get a decent drink in a decent place with a decent ambiance.

We were the only ones to stop by on a Monday afternoon for a cocktail at Dream Baby, and enjoyed our time here. The bartender took care of us, the drinks were strong, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Happy hour prices were pretty standard: $ 2 off cocktails, $ 6 select wine and $ 5 drafts. The drink ingredient combinations are complex and sophisticated, but not so much that you have no idea what you’re drinking or feel pretentious. Aside from the main bar area, they even have an additional room for private events. On my new list of staple bars in the East Village!

Bar for locals. Bartenders are really nice. Prices are regular for Manhattan. Around $ 14 for a fancier drink. Good environment, more of a late night bar. Around 10 it’s still a bit empty. I’d recommend arriving after 11, but not too ling after so you can get a seat or table!

This is possibly the best bar in New York. It’s always fun and full of beautiful people. The drinks are top notch and the bartenders are phenomenal. Five true stars.

I hosted a going away party here for a friend and the manager of Dream Baby, Maria could not have been more accommodating. We were reserved a large seating area in the front. The guest of honor is moving to London so we created a signature cocktail for the night called«London Calling». Maria basically created and adjusted the cocktail to our request. We appreciated her flexibility. I would definitely rec this place for a fun weekend night out!

I’ve been here a few times since it’s super close to where I live. It’s a great time and they have a really nice staff! I actually left my wallet/keys/$ 50 cash one night at the bar(not sure how the hell that happened) and luckily they had it the next day! I’m giving them 4 stars for their honesty! However, their music sucks… The DJ seems like a cool guy but is playing«Build Me A Buttercup, Baby». everyone is singing a long thinking it’s the best song EVER, etc. but frankly, I appreciate a real DJ that mixes songs and plays mashups and plays more current music.

I’ve been there a few times at night and I am sure I will go again because some friends end up dragging me there but I honestly don’t like the scene during night time. There is no music and still it’s too loud to talk which is not my favorite. Drinks are not expensive which is a pro. There is a back room that you can use for private events, which is good for big birthday celebrations, it has a DJ but it is small and the music is really not that great.

First of all, I came here in a group of five: 4 girls and 1 guy for my birthday night out. We all had an easy time getting in considering we showed up pretty late in the night(somewhere around 2AM?). For showing up at 2AM we figured the place would definitely be packed and it WAS. In the best way possible too! Everyone was happy and dancing in one room while the other area was much more chill and for having conversations. This was great for me because I love having the option to chill for a bit and then go back out dancing. Drinks were a standard price. $ 8 for a jack and ginger is the usual around, or at least that’s what I’m always charged. All in all, my entire group had a great time and we met some great people there and since that night we still talk about how amazing the night was and how we need to go back!(: Note: Music was great. Boys that go there are somewhat attractive compared to other bars in the city. Everyone is your friend and will jump in your snapchats unexpectedly!

Recently had my birthday here and had an amazing time!!! Maria assisted me and was incredibly helpful in the planning from start to finish! The space is great, the bar staff is on point and the music was fantastic(everything from old school hits to 90s dance and current jams) — I would highly recommend this lounge to anyone who’s looking for a fun night out, whether it’s just for a few drinks or a hot spot to hold your next gathering! I can’t wait to come back! :D

Eh, I wanted to like this place, it’s really cute and has great banquettes looking out onto the street. However, the drinks aren’t great(really harsh alcohol flavors), and it quickly filled up with finance bros and got really loud. Then the bouncer came in(I guess he gets there an hour after open or so, we were there early on a weekday) and came right to our table(the only non-finance bro table) and asked us and only us for IDs. Not that it was a problem, but it just seemed like we weren’t «their kind of people.»

Fantastic pre-dinner cocktail place, with a nicely priced and high quality happy hour. I enjoyed a couple $ 8 sazeracs that were perfect on a cold November evening. I’d be curious to come back later at night. For an early evening get-together, this would be a perfect place.

What a cozy, darling gem of a bar! I could not love it here more. Gorgeous and friendly atmosphere with absolutely yummy drinks. The prices are reasonable, I paid $ 16 for similar craft cocktails at another establishment that wasn’t nearly as pleasant, either. Easy to feel comfortable here and want to stay well into the night.

Pricey drinks, crowded, young crowd. Awkward space, lots of hallways /tough spaces to pass others Calling this a Lounge is giving it too much credit

I rarely go out around Alphabet City and don’t know too many places near by. My friends told me to meet them here at Dream Baby and although my Über got a little lost(totally his fault, it’s actually pretty easy to get to), when I got there I was pleasantly surprised– I wasn’t sure what to expect, with a name like Dream Baby. I was thinking the place would have some super cutesy set up but it’s actually very chill, laid back and sleek. There aren’t that many tables, however, the tables do seat a good number of people– we fit 7 people comfortably at ours. It’s very clean inside and has fun music. Bathroom is also very clean. Most importantly, the drinks and service are really good! We all had a great time here last night! I’ll be back soon– cheers!

Getting married may be one of those perfectly stressful events in life that call for a great deal of money, patience, and collaboration. in an effort to not become bridezilla and be an effective DIY/destination wedding bride, I crafted my bachelorette party itinerary to include Dream Baby, and it was the best decision i ever made! Maria, the stunning and lovely owner of this finely authentic LES establishment provided the sweetest and most welcoming setting to my bachelorette party, where my friends and family felt like our celebration was planned months in advanced, when in fact, it had only been planned on the day through the wonders of social media and a responsive and devoted local business owner! Since its opening, I have been to Dream Baby over a half a dozen times, and each and every time, I have a social experience that is not only memorable but renews my belief that the heart of NYC is definitely in the LES. Keep on, keeping on Dream Baby! You are an example of a dream come true and an example to follow! THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU!!!

I used to like Dream. In fact, it used to be one of my favorite bars. But that was 2 years ago. Since then, the prices have increased($ 14 for a mediocre, watered down cocktail??) and the crowd has become so, so annoying. Oh, and one of the bartenders is consistently rude to my friends and I(and probably everyone else). She happens to be the one making the watered down drinks. If you’re going to be a sassy pants, at least make me a fine drink. Take your business elsewhere. The East Village/Alphabet City is home to some great cocktail bars. Pouring Ribbons, The Wayland, Summit. All better than Dream. Oh and this might come in handy:

This place was classy and cute at the same time. Came here with my sister to celebrate our birthday, and we had an area of the place reserved for our birthday night as people came in and out to celebrate with us. They labeled cars for each table that said«Reserved for Roopa and Kavya» which was super sweet and an awesome gesture. The place is quite small and thus gets packed right away, but it’s still a fun setting to mingle, dance, and lounge with some great drinks. Bartenders are really nice, drinks are good, and the music is fun as well. Overall, all the makings of a great night!

I have found my new go-to place for happy hour! My friend and I stumbled upon this place while running away from this terrible bar next door(it rhymes with foxjar). The happy hour specials are great: $ 4 for beer and well drinks between 6−8pm. Our bartender was so friendly and professional – she actually measured out the liquor in our gin and tonics, instead of splashing it in the glass like some village bars(and this way, you know what you’re getting & not getting skimped off on alcohol). The interior is spacious and comfortable. There is no backyard but the ginormous front windows open up, so it’s basically feels like you’re outside.

Dream Baby is a good time. The staff make fantastic cocktails, are friendly, and Maria(one of the owners and bartenders) is one great, witty, kind woman. In a sea of the gentrified East Village where bros and the women who love them run rampant, it’s often a pleasure to escape into Dream Baby. Word of warning, the bros and their female counterparts DO know about this place so Friday and Saturday nights tend to be times when I stay away but the rest of the week tends to be golden.

I love this place for a few reasons: 1. Right around the corner from where I live 2. Far too many impromptu sing-a-longs 3. Booths(if you can get one) It’s a tiny place, so most nights are tough if you struggle with tight spaces/overcrowding. I haven’t seen a line to get in, but I can see it happening in the spring. If you come earlier or during Happy Hour, it’s a nice intimate place. Cocktails are on par with the area, so do look at the cocktail menu.
