Ok, let’s be real. I can’t believe I’m admitting that I ate at Domino’s. I’m a foodie… but it was so convenient, and I walked by, pregnant for the record, and decided to try their $ 7.99 carryout deal. The pizza was perhaps one of the best pizza’s I’ve had at a chain restaurant, and in a VERYLONGTIME(Yes, I’ve had Artichoke and all the other NYC well known pizza places– but this was really good). The pizza was fresh and tasted really good. I don’t know what else to say. I’m going back.

It’s Dominos, so 3 stars is a lot. Being charged $ 2 for deliver bothers me for some reason. Especially when I am still expected to give a tip(not the delivery guys fault), but the kids wanted dominos. One thing that I was NOT expecting was to thoroughly enjoy the pizza I ordered. I tried it with their Garlic Parmesian White Sauce with bacon and Premium Chicken toppings. It was REALLY good. Good enough that when I woke up from a nap my two girls had devoured the half a medium pie that was left!!! My wife had two slices as well.

2nd time disappointed. I used the app to order which has glitches. My order transferred incorrectly. They remade the pizza but it took 20 mins and dropped the box since the slices were folded over and on top of each other. The girl at the counter ignored customers waiting to pickup and place orders. Then went into a coma texting on her phone. As a business man I brought it to HQs attention only to receive rude nasty emails trying to blame me for the error. On a separate occasion my order was given to a whining customer who arrived 5 mins after I did and didn’t want to wait for a pizza to be made. without asking me if I would mind waiting. Then they serve me a under cooked pizza with raw cold dough. Delivery men walk in without washing hands and start making pizzas. Gross. Papa John’s is only a block away.

It’s late, nothing else is open, what the heck, Domino’s time? The expectations couldn’t be any lower, just something eatable. Yea this wasn’t it. The cheesy bread was fine but the pizza? It wasn’t food. My honest opinion probably wouldn’t make it passed the Unilocal filters so I’ll let you use your imagination. I was scared.

The only reason this gets 1 star is that the pizza was warm when it got here. Here’s why I don’t recommend using this Dominos: –the Dominos app wouldn’t work for this location –once I got through the 5 minutes of promos, the phone operator was very rude and didn’t ask me how I wanted to pay before hanging up –the delivery guy got here and called me and hung up twice, I called back 4 times with no answer –the delivery man finally texted me and said«cam dow», I responded by reiterating my apartment number and buzzer instructions –when the delivery man got upstairs, he gave me attitude when I asked about using a credit card(I don’t have cash and should have been given payment options on the phone) –I called to have them run my credit card and the phone operator was very rude and didn’t understand me clearly stating that I didn’t have cash –the delivery guy gave me attitude when I said I had no cash and would call to leave a tip(he didn’t seem to understand me fully) From start to finish they were all just very rude.

The food here is awesome! But the service is not in par with the quality of the food. I waited 15 – 20 minutes just to get water. Then I had to flag a waitress down because the host(older gentleman in glasses) didn’t let anyone know we were waiting at a table. So now to wait on the food!

Today I had an end of the season party for my grades 7&8 soccer team. With a limited budget, I opted for Domino’s. I stopped by to prepay a few hours before I needed the pizzas. The man at the store was friendly and helpful. He informed me that if I picked up the pizzas they would cost $ 7.99 each because they were having a three toppings on a large pizza special but he added that if I had them delivered, the price would be something like $ 12.99 each. Now if you want to discourage deliveries, this is a great policy! I decided I would walk the block. Although it was three toppings, they would not put double or triple of any one topping… again a great policy to create bad feelings with your customers. I ordered an extra c cheese, a pepperoni and a pizza with onions, peppers and black olives. At 2:45PM I picked up three large pizzas and two of those gooey cinnamon desserts. They were ready right on time and the manager gave me plates, napkins and plastic forks. He also cut the pizzas into 16 slices which was greatly appreciated. The pizzas were bready and did not have an abundant amount of cheese(even the extra cheese) but for the price, they were okay for a group of middle school soccer players celebrating a successful season!

Dominos doesn’t have a gourmet reputation, but for the Super Bowl at $ 5.99 for medium pies, we couldn’t resist. Amongst 9 of us, we got 5 pizzas(some half topping’d, some full, some a mix of toppings), two cheesy breads, two sets of wings. For $ 60. That’s awesome. I called the day prior to the Super Bowl to see if I should order ahead. The guy on the phone couldn’t understand what I was asking. Q: «When should I order for the Super Bowl?» A: «Whenever you are hungry» We put in the order online at like 2 pm for a 6 pm delivery expecting some issues because of the game. My doorbell rang at 6:02. Pizza was hot. Pizza was good. Pizza was reliable. Pizza was cheap. And pizza was on time!

Did you know that you can track their delivery online? Instant 3 stars. Based on your level of intoxication, you may even rate this up to 4 stars. Never underestimate the value of cheesy bread and cinnasticks after(more than) a few drinks. Mmm dominos.

My pizza had no ingredients on it, it was awful! I wanted to return it but I was starving so I ate it anyway. Even at their low prices it is, in the end, a total rip off. I’ll try Papa John’s pizza next time. Hungry? I STRONGLY suggest you avoid pizza from Domino’s, at least from this super cheap Columbus Avenue location anyway. FOLLOWUP: If you contact Dominos they will fix everything for you — do not just sit there and Unilocal!in silence. For excellent customer service and a wonderful follow-up visit I am changing my rating from a disgruntled 1 to a loyal 4.

It’s kind of Domino’s fault that I called them. They mailed out coupons for a $ 5, — small take out pizza with 2 toppings of choice. Since I am a sucker for deals, I felt I was robbing myself if I didn’t call them for a pickup. So there I stood, 10 minutes later. Pizza was all ready to go. Perfectly baked pepperoni and cheese. Service was quick and friendly. The place looks small, but clean and neat. Looks like I am going to have to go here again. What else am I supposed to do with the 2 coupons I have left? ;)
