One of the best Italian sandwiches you’re going to find in the city. Dapper Don is definitely my choice. I go for lunch every time they are in the area

A great Italian sandwich. I recommend the specials like the Godfather and Serpico. Taste is original and I’ve taken around 10 people here and none of them were disappointed.

DAAAYMN!!! These sandwiches are out of this world. I have their twitter bookmarked and anytime the truck is my general vicinity its DiSO’s for lunch! My favorite is the Dapper Don but you can’t go wrong with any menu item. Pro tip: call ahead and place your order.

Amazing food! The breaded chicken is so moist and yummy! The sandwich is fresh and has delicious ingredients! Everything is made fresh to order. There is normally a line and a wait of 15 minutes, but you need to check it out!

I’ve been hearing about this truck since moving to NY. Was parked outside my office and finally had the chance to eat there. I got the Joey Shakes and it was insane. I’ll eat there every chance I get. Hope that they win the Food Networks Great Food Truck Race.

As far as I’m concerned these guys make the best Italian sandwiches in the city. I’m here every time they’re in Midtown West, I try not to get the same sandwich each time since everything they make is great. Go for the specials on the days they have them, you will not be disappointed!

The best sandwich you can find in midtown. The nicest guys and best ingredients. The only negative is option anxiety in deciding what to try next!

Best sandwiches in NYC. Real deal Italian ingredients; amazing bread; sweetest guys in the world run the truck — what more can one want!!! They park by my office building every Wednesday. I eat half a sub for dinner and the other half for lunch. For a healthier option, I do the make-your-own with grilled chicken, sweet peppers and broccoli rabe. Can’t go wrong with these guys.

Well to be honest in Shania Twain’s words«That don’t impress me much» Ya I get it their meats come from«Di Palo» so why are we crazed bout DiSo’s, one could say they bring the meats to you but ehhh… I tried their own product«The Fonz» fried chicken cutlet sandwich and that was exactly what it was a fried chicken cutlet sandwich. They are alrite. I could come here if they bring back the Porchetta(from Di Palo’s)

Might have been a great sandwich, but unfortunately mine missed out on half the ingredients. I did go towards the second half of the lunch rush on a Friday, so that may be a contributing factor. I ordered the«Oh Marie», which was loaded with their Sicilian eggplant parmiagiano, mozzarella, and a dash of pesto. The rustic bread was toasted well. However, it was missing the marinara sauce, fresh basil, and parmesan reggiano. Perhaps it was due to a difference between expectation and reality, but overall I wasn’t impressed.

Had my first sandwich from here: The Fonz. I’m SO sold. The bread is delcious, crusty on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside. The ingredients are amazing, like going down to Little Italy and getting a sandwich from one of the well established italian deli. The wait was not that long, to take the order and to get my sandwich. They guys at the truck are very friendly too! Definately coming back for more!

I tried this place for the first time today. I had prosciutto with roasted peppers, eggplant, mozzarella, and the ricotta spread. The ricotta was especially good and the rest of the fillings were also pretty good quality. I agree with the reviewer who said the bread is terrible. It was chewy and tough and made the sandwich very difficult to eat. I had to give up and use a fork. I was extremely put off by the tip jar on the counter. It was labeled with the phrase«F**k You. Tip Me.» I’m not prude. I see the humor of this, but there is a time and a place for everything. This is highly inappropriate for a place of business. It is disrespectful to your customers. Needless to say that I did not leave a tip, and I doubt I’ll be returning here for more doses of hipster etiquette. Also, these guys need to learn Italian. There is no s in ravioli. The word ravioli is already plural.

Got the half Jimmy Shakes today on Ciabatta from the truck. It was pretty good for a cold sandwich. The bread could have been better though, it was a bit chewy. The description makes it sound like there’s a lot of different toppings going on but i’m a but suspicious. The size was pretty good for«half» a sandwich. Way bigger than expected. If they toasted the sandwiches they would be WAY better… everything is better toasted.

. While wandering around midtown we stumbled upon this food truck. It looked, and the menu sounded, good but we were left disappointed and, worse, HUNGRY. Décor: It’s a food truck that is painted red, so it’s easy to spot(or avoid…) Staff: The guys were cool and they took orders and made sandwiches pretty rapidly. There was a line, but it moved at a decent clip. Food: The sandwiches all sound great when you read the menu, however, they fall short. I had the Joey Shakes and was expecting a SOLID sandwich… not quite. First of all, the bread is pretty skinny and it was HARDAS A ROCK. The fact that I still have teeth amazes me. As for the toppings/taste, it was good, there just wasn’t much of it. Seriously, I think there was literally one slice of each meat on the sandwich and that is it. Needless to say, after consuming a full hoagie from them I am back out wandering the streets looking for lunch. Value: For what you get(size and quality wise) this truck is a rip-off. I spent $ 11.50 and was not satisfied on any level. In fact, when I compare it to a place like Cranberry Café(which is just a few streets away), where I can get a sandwich that is twice the size(literally), a bag of chips and a drink and still have $ 2 in my pocket… I’m amazed. There is no way I’ll be returning to this truck. That is, not unless the fix the problems I’ve stated above.

Walked by the Diso’s truck while we were walking to Mexico Blvd. Finally got to try it 2 week later when it was in our neighborhood! Definitely in the lunch rotation. I had Lefty Louis on half focaccia ~Prosciutto, fresh mozz, arugula, parm, balsamic glaze Soo yum!

DiSo’s Italian Sandwich Society is the only society I want to be a part of. I’ve been following Diso’s on twitter hoping one day I’ll be able to stop by their truck for lunch. I was so excited when I was that their truck had stopped near my office! I called in for an order and headed over about 15 minutes later. My sandwich was waiting for me and I just had to pay. It was their first day at this location so I have a feeling once word catches on, it will be getting a lot more crowded. I had the Jimmy Two Times(Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sautéed eggplant, sweet roasted peppers, herbed ricotta spread) on ½ a hero of Rustica Italian bread. Every layer melded together just perfectly.

Consistently great sandwiches. The Tony Checks($ 7 for a half: Broccoli rabe, sauteed eggplant, provolone, hot cherry peppers) I think is my favorite because the hot peppers have a really nice kick to them and the sharp provolone cheese is awesome. Check out their ice cream desert specials too!

New favorite sandwich truck! At the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try out DiSO’s, which parks on my street twice a week. They usually have a sizable line, but I arrived early and was able to save some time. I noticed that their menu offers a lot of vegetable friendly options — total winner in my book. Add fresh mozzarella and herb ricotta cheese and I knew this was going to be an amazing lunch. I opted for the Jimmy Two Times — Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sauteed eggplant, sweet roasted peppers, herbed ricotta spread. Seriously. It has everything I love between two slices of bread. And you get to choose between rustic bread or ciabatta. I asked for a half sandwich, which in my world, is more than enough food. The sandwich was amazing. Salty prosciutto meets creamy cheeses and sweet tender vegetables on soft yet chewy bread. The half sandwich was exactly enough food without me breaking into a side salad I ordered from another place. Note: Cash only. The guys are pretty nice and the service is fast as long as there isn’t a massive line in front of you. I’ll be back!
