Great service, owners are very friendly and food came out quick. Food is Delicious really excited to find authentic Nigerian food in Manhattan.

The jollof rice with goat is one of the best $ 10 lunches in Midtown. The clientele is straight out of Lagos, this place is the real deal.

Olu(the chap serving) provided excellent customer services. I was also very impressed with the food, I got the pounded yam and spinach source as well as Jollof Rice and mixed meat. I’m definitely excited about finding this place and will be returning very soon. Highly recommended!

The beans are on point. The goat meat also gets high ratings. I’ve only had the Jollof once and it was pretty good. I think this definitely hits the spot for a quick«naija» food fix. Some things could definitely be spicier/more flavorful but I’m assuming they make the food for a general audience. I’ve recently requested some fried pepper to be added to the menu for those that want just a little more spice. Lovely lady in the truck — she’s a gem.

Smoky jollof rice the likes of childhood church bazaars and traditional weddings– like the type your grandma makes in a cauldron under firewood. DF is the truth. Portions are on point. The snacks aren’t the best(but I don’t go to DF for snacks); Puff puff isn’t chewy enough, pies have way too much dough, not enough fillings so actually just like it’s done back home. As is the meat i. e, dry AF– don’t get the fish. I stick to the goat and mixed meat in soups, and have been begging them to allow people substitute moi moi as meat– what if I’m vegetarian?! Moral of the story is, I’ve sworn off Buka since discovering DF and now just praying everyday for a proper restaurant that’s not too far.

Stopping by on a whim, I ordered the Jollof Rice with fish for lunch today. The fish appeared to be fried, and included the skin, bones, and tails, so was a bit difficult to extract. The type was also unclear. It wasn’t bad, though. The rice was curiously flavored, and tasty enough. So because I had no expectations and everything seemed to be edible(at least as far as I can tell at the moment), I’d say it was A-OK.

Portions are generous. The guy in the truck is friendly and let me sample the fried rice. The food is a little off. I had the tomato fried rice with some goat meat. It was fine but maybe needed also me salt and the meat was a bit tough.
