Daylight Savings Time

Maybe we should take notes from Hawaii and Arizona.
I just realized that the tag for «Daylight Savings Time» is cannabis clinics.

Seven months have passed and the time on my car stereo still reads hour an behind.
Suck it, DST.

Why? Why must we ALL suffer with this annual time screw!!!
It takes my mind & body weeks to recover. It causes my brain to pound, my body to ache and my nerves to cringe. I miss that hour every single time it springs ahead each year.
While I love the added sunlight to the day, my body never forgives me for losing that hour of sleep.

Daylight savings time sucked last week. I was so wasted on sunday morning I had to work on on top of going to bed at after 2AM it automatically became after 3AM. I don’t know how I made it through the day. It is nice to have alot more sunlight though, that’s whats up.

Things I Can Do in One Hour:
— Hit my snooze button 12 times (5 minute intervals)
— Procreate and produce the next generation of wasteful ignorati
— Watch one episode of Celebrity Apprentice and then realize I will never get that hour of my life back.
— Prove to myself I can really go one hour without Unilocaling about where I ate dinner yesterday, Twittering about the itch on my back I can’t reach, reading about other people’s misfortunes on
— See how many Hot Pockets I can eat in one sitting
— Make a medical discovery
— Fold origami paper stars and put them in a little glass jar
— Cry about how unfortunate my life has become slash self-​loathing
Screw you Daylights Saving Time!

First, I hate to be «THAT GUY», so to speak, but it’s Daylight Saving Time, not Daylight Savings Time.
Okay, now that we’ve got that anal bit of raw douchebaggery out of the way, my feelings on DST:
I LOVE IT!!!
Dont believe all these negative reviews, DST rules. I love the extra hour of daylight. I spend the entire afternoon thinking, «it’s 5pm right now, but we have what used to be 4pm lighting»… then at 6pm … «it’s 6pm right now, but we have what used to be 5pm lighting»
Yes, I am THAT easily amused.
I am a very positive, upbeat guy, and DST reminds me that SPRING and then SUMMER are just around the corner. It reminds me of everything soon to be in bloom in NYC, and late-​afternoons and evenings playing golf at 8pm. It reminds me of drinks at the Boat Basin, wearing shorts with Tevas, running with big slobbering dogs in Central Park, and all the goodness that will soon be coming our way.

Wow, the eight previous people that have reviewed DST are up in arms about it. Since i am a morning person and enjoy having one extra hour of sunlight, I don’t mind DST at all. Yeah, it has no effect on curbing energy use and certain businesses have lobbied to keep it going in our country, but those two things don’t make me dislike DST. Just like every year, you all will get used to the time change.

Hate. That is what I have. OK, I do like having more sunlight, but I am sick unto death of messing with my clocks, messing up my clocks, getting confused, and being tired and cranky. Go away and never come back.

It is now Tuesday. I still haven’t recovered.

Damn you DST. You made me feel shitty and miss the NY Unilocal Elite event.

I was at Cheap Shots for a friend’s birthday during the time change.
I woke up the next morning and DST had taken a f’in Cheap Shot at me.
For shame Daylight Savings Time, for shame.

DST is bullshit. Invented by bureaucrats and businessmen with varying interests, there was no justification then and after extensive study the benefits of DST are still «inconclusive». Woodrow Wilson vetoed repeals because he liked to go golfing.

Tell me, if Daylight «Savings» Time lasts eight months from early March to early November (i.e., more than ²⁄₃ of the year), then why isn’t November to March just called «Daylight Wasting Time?»
