Dallas BBQs is a go– to for my for my friends and I. The prices are ridiculously low for Manhattan. It’s located right in time square, across from Madame Tussaud and AMC. At night there can be a bit of a wait but in he say time things move right along. They have a system(staff with wallow talkies) to keep things moving as quickly as possible. The food is decent for the prices. I love the Hennessy wings(it’s slathered in sauce so don’t order of you’re trying to be cute on a date lol). I usually get the honey chicken with yellow rice(about 9.00). The servers are pretty good. They come around often enough that you don’t feel neglected but if you’re looking for supper attentive staff you’ll be disappointed. I think most people come for the drinks. The frozen margaritas are tasty. I have been getting the royal since they started serving it – it’s a large frozen margarita with a test tube shot and a small bottle of champagne or moscato. The place is by no means meant to impress anyone but if you want a place with good prices, decent food and drinks definitely should be a staple.

Convenient and good place to eat if you’re in time square or in the city. I’m pretty sure this place is known for their drinks bc everyone in the restaurant had some kind of huge drink in front of them! Food was alright, but the drinks were delicious! I got the blue Hawaii piña colada(which comes w an extra shot) and a beach bomb(which comes w an extra shot of 151 rum) These huge drinks are about $ 12-$ 14 which isn’t bad at all for the size of it The food portions are a lot as well, so you get a lot of food for the price you pay. The ambiance is good energy and definitely loud. It’s a fun place to have some drinks or kick it w friends.

Had a good time here even though I dined by myself, which I never do! I came in at noon on a Friday. Went in with intentions to sit at the bar for a midday splash, and was informed they don’t have a bar I was seated at a small table and greeted promptly by a server who took my drink order, pineapple frozen margarita with an extra shot, and managed to convince me to order, food even though I was not hungry(only ordered fries). The fries were a side order and it was much more than I thought it would be! They were a bit overdone, but not bad with ketchup. Halfway through my fries I noticed the Dallas BBQs barbecue sauce. It’s had a very tangy, almost a citrus taste. Not for me, but not bad if that’s what you’re into. The margarita was delicious. Got a bit of brain freeze from drinking too fast! I was also given a small(was able to eat the whole thing in one chomp!) complimentary cupcake before I received the check. Pretty sure the cupcakes are purchased else where because it was cold, but it’s a nice gesture, lol Baten was attentive and polite for the short time I was there. I will definitely come back with friends when I am in the area.

Terrible service. Super disorganized. Everything takes forever to come out. Waite tacked on a tip at 5:30pm on a weeknight. Outrageous especially since we only saw him twice — once to take our orders and the next to drop the check. He walked passed our table a dozen times but refused to acknowledge our attempts to call him over. Manager came over when we told the waiter to remove his tip. HUGE pet peeve of mine is when the manager comes over. I rather just pay and not return. Manager made it seem that Dallas BBQ does not pay their employees– they survive on tips. I signed the bill and a few days realized that someone wrote over the amounts. Contacted BBQs and received a bunch of bullshit inclusive of a 15% off offer to use our next visit. Not I. My credit card company threatened to cancel the entire bill before these scammers complied. Keep your receipts folks and follow up with your credit card company. What a scam.

Bad service and couldnt follow orders. Had to wait a full hour to get our food even tho the people to either side came in after us and got their food first. When the food finally came my medium well stake was way over cooked and cold as were other dishes in our table.

Waiter named Sam, performed horribly for us. We had a group of 10 and were seated relatively quickly by the front desk. Once seated, Sam came and took our orders and completely just skipped me and took all my co-workers orders.(I have bad luck usually) One of our groupies actually came 10 – 15 minutes after we ordered, but her food came before mine. and we had ordered the same thing. 30ish minutes later my food was still not ready and they kept pushing it saying 2 more minutesem to cook. My friend monica flipped out on the waiter for me and the waiter looked really stressed, yet still. performed without haste. The convo of our entire group shifted from work history to how terrible this waiter is. My food had come and they had forgotten part of my order… Monica swooped in and asked for the manager. This manager is possibly one of thee worst managers that ive ever seen. He is literally arguing back with us about the actually time we waited and said he’s been watching us all night. like dude really? youre the manager can you put customers satisfaction before your bald ego? my friend got really frustrated and said this waiter does not deserve a 21 $ tip(automatically included) and didnt let anyone in our group pay tip. This manager is the brains and backup for these waiters, so if anything I think Sam was just having a hard time since he is neither the cook nor the supervisor. HOWEVER the manager, woooo! he deserves the red flag and should be banished into the shadow realm(: sad to see, that one of the bigger dallas bbqs(which I absolutely love) has such poor execution as a chain restaurant with a name.

LOL, I’m writing about another BBQs. This is our go-to spot when at one of the 42nd Street theaters. Chicken Wings and Margaritas for less than $ 50 for two? Yassssssssssss! So, I have to admit, BBQs is probably the best place to go while in Times Square. The place is huge(formerly an arcade back when in the day), the service is pretty quick, the quality is consistent with other BBQs, and — the best part — the prices are also consistent. No Time Square gouging here!

I love this place. I don’t know when they started serving those little cupcakes after the meals but thank goodness because I always wondered why they never serviced dessert! I think this place is pretty perfect, the service is always the perfect amount of attentiveness. The servers aren’t all over you stalking your dinner but you’re never looking for them either. You can chill out and enjoy your meal. This place is a great chill out spot to have fun with your friends. And those drinks, I mean c’mon, I don’t even have to say anything. They always have some kinda holiday special and/or flavor along with the typical, classic ones that we know and love in those big ol’ goblets with the extra shots. I love the chill environment, the food is great, big portions. Just yummy yum yum. I always recommend the sticky fingers or the ribs of course those are basically the best, can’t miss out on those. The fries aren’t the best, not sure why but I usually get rice or potato as a side or drench my fries in bbq sauce lol. Be prepared for a little bit of wait if you’re with a group and make sure you’re whole party is there, they’re pretty strict with that. They won’t seat 7 of you if it’s party of 8.

I have been to a few of the Dallas BBQs and this is by far the biggest but also one of the most disorganized ones. I placed and order over the phone and when I arrived 3 of the chicken and rib combos I ordered. So I had to wait another 15 mins to get other part of my order. When I opened my order it looked very sloppy put together and the portion is definitely bigger when you eat in.

My friend: So what you up to tonight? Me: I’m gonna go pick up wings and then I’m gonna go home and eat them all. The portions at Dallas BBQ are big and the food is good, but to be honest, I don’t often eat this type of food so I am not the best judge. I enjoy their«Texas» sized Piña Coladas. The wings are what really get me though. Today I ordered over the phone for pickup and the gentleman was very nice. When I came to pick up the order, he repeated it to confirm and asked me to check the bag just in case. I noticed mini cupcakes(of all things) inside with the sauces. He said they were complimentary! I never heard of this before, but I sure ain’t complaining. Now I can have both wings AND cupcakes. What a wonderful way to start the new year!

Ideal location. Heart of Time Square 42nd street. Very seldom I dine here on their weekends. But with opening night of Star Wars., choices were very limited after 12 midnight. However we manage to get in with minimal wait which was excellent., because it’s known to have extremely high volume of pedestrian dinning. Since there’s two levels., you never know where the host/hostess is going to seat you. On this night we dine on the first level, which was my first experience EVER. Normally I am upset nestled in a corner or along side huge bay windows overlooking the street., which I enjoy as well. But honestly speaking the first level much, much more quieter and more intimate and definitely less traffic. Enjoy the chicken dinner.

Completely unimpressed with this establishment. Incompetent servers who forget about what you order and need to be reminded two or three times to bring what you originally asked for to the table. Our table had a simple order of Hennessy wings, sticky wings, corn bread and a shrimp appetizer. All of which was terrible. The size of the wings were huge but the flavor of the sauces completely ruined them. Even the complementary cupcakes given with the bill tasted stale. On a positive note, prices are not outrageous which is hard to say for a New York restaurant located in Times Square. Word of advice: Save your time and money and go to a place with good service and food.

Located right in the middle of Times Square, so inherently this is a tourist spot! The one nice thing about eating in this area is that it is super conveniently close to pretty much all subway lines. A giant restaurant(two stories) with all of the flashing, bright lights, long lines, and bells and whistles one would expect from a chain restaurant in this area. The Applebees of BBQ food. Service: I really didn’t like that after giving your name with the«hostess» that you are forced into a pretty small holding pen behind a rope. Us and everyone we stood with feared that we might actually become the BBQ to be served considering we were treated like cattle being shoved into this pen. There had to be at least 40 people waiting with us, soooo why not have a bar to hang out at while we waited? It would only make sense. When you are called you have approximately 7 – 10 seconds to claim your name otherwise you lose your spot. I didn’t really mind this as it saves time and cuts down on waiting. We were told 20 – 30 minute wait, was more like 15 – 20 minutes. Our waiter was great, calm, always smiling and very helpful and patient. I really hated how close together the tables were, and gratuity is included with the bill. Food: Pulled pork sandwich was… not good. More sauce then meat and was not hot or even warm, tasted kind of like cafeteria food with dollar store hot sauce on it. Baked potato was good, corn on the cob was fine and pretty big, coleslaw was amazing! Corn bread was on point, ribs were pretty good. The giant berry margarita was surprisingly really on point. I don’t like the giant drinks at restaurants like these because they are usually loaded with sugary syrup and not enough liquor, can’t make any complaints about our margarita! Food really wasn’t bad, just not the best BBQ I’ve ever had. With so many other authentic, non-chain options, why choose this place first? I would if I were in the area. Meal came with two mini complimentary cupcakes which was cute. If you like chain restaurants, you will love this place. Otherwise, it was just OK.

The Story: After the New York City Comic Con, my group was starving! So we decided to get some food before we take our buses home to Jersey. Food: I ordered the BBQ platter, which consists of a steak, ¼ roasted chicke, and a rack of ribs.(Don’t we all over order when we’re hungry?). I did not see the point of our waitress asking how I wanted my steak because medium rare became medium if you put the chicken and rice on top of it. Chicken was bland but the ribs were decent. The platter also came with corn bread, yellow rice and pita bread on the bottom(? I’m still trying to figure out what is the bread for). My table also ordered some drinks, I personally got the piña colada and enjoyed it. I didn’t get IDed though… They gave us free mini [frozen] cupcakes(you know the ones you buy at the supermarket?). Price: The price is decent considering its dead middle of time square. Décor: Two floors, this place can sit a lot of people. I don’t remember the décor since I was so overwhelmed by how many people there are. Service: I won’t say service was even decent. Our waitress did not come to our table once and we ran out of water. We tried flagging down someone but they just looked at us and kept walking. I was not happy. Parking & Finding the Place: Right outside port authority. Additional Thoughts: Disappointing but understandable. The volume they get on a daily basis has to be rough.

This is a MUSTEVERYTIME I’m in time square. I always recommend this place to anyone who is there visiting. It’s large amounts of food without the extra high tourist prices. For the adults the TEXASSIZE frozen margaritas are AMAZING! You need to get it with the extra shot. 1 of them can and will make you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. You don’t feel it right away. If you drink 1 wait 5 minutes before you order another. The appetizer of choice is the sticky chicken tenders. They are so GOOD! When it comes to entrees it’s a matter of preference on what type of BBQ you like. I’ve had pulled pork, chicken and brisket. I like them all but I’m a pulled pork fan. My wife always gets the chicken. You can get all white meat for an upcharge. The service is always good. They are efficient and usually good with getting order correct. Only once they didn’t ask about things we usually get asked about add ons. The only negative is they don’t offer a dessert menu. They have started just giving each person a mini cup cake so problem solved.

This place is terrible! Very poor service! Once our waitress took our orders, she disappeared. We were all so parched, yet we couldn’t get a glass of water from anyone. We even asked the men who brought out our food and the bus boys who walked by billions of times. I guess it’s all man for themselves around here. Food is also low quaity. The pulled chicken sandwich was mediocre. It was cold when I received mine. I expected my side salad to be of average size but apparently it’s as small a soup bowl. The side of french fries were pretty sad, very bland and not crispy. The chili was overwhelming sweet, no matter how much hot sauce you put, it was a lost cause. We ordered fried clams as an app but that came after we were halfway done with our meal. The only positive is their convenient location and being seated quickly. I would not recommend.

Although always crowded, this is one of my favorite Dallas BBQs restaurants to come to. They know what they’re doing. I’ve hit this spot when there’s a line OUTSIDE to get to the seating line INSIDE& I’ve never waited for more then 15 mins, & that my friends is a beautiful thing here in NYC. The food is always freshly made bc of the fact that there’s people coming in & leaving. They have TVs everywhere & I believe they have 2 floors w/an elevator. The waitresses/waiters are always checking up if u need anything. What I don’t like is that after done eating they take a while to come give the tab. Minus one star for that. Everything else is great tho.

THEFOODWASOFFTHECHAIN! Dallas fell short a star because the server was very dismissive of my friend’s drink issue. She gave him the«oh well you stuck with it, read the menu» instead of offering suggestions for remedy. The manager came over and gave him more syrup for the drink which made it delish. Apparently they just didn’t put enough in the first time because his tasted nothing like mine. Sometimes bartenders rush thru the drinks and miss a step so thanks for that. Back to the food: I had the sticky wings, ribs, and fries. Yummers

–Three stars for the food –Five stars for the frozen drinks –Three stars for the service If you’re a real New Yorker — and a black one at that — you know this place as B-B-Qs(I’ll know you’re not from these parts if you call it Dallas BBQ). You might have childhood memories here, or at any of the other tri-state locations, dating back 20 or 30 years depending on your age. I remember, much to my mother’s chagrin, several instances of spilling barbecue sauce on my new clothes, getting corn bread crumbs all over the place and knocking over giant cups of soda. I also remember throwing temper tantrums because I wanted one of those Texas sized piña coladas and being limited to a lousy Shirley Temple. I also remember seeing Madonna’s «Ray of Light» video for the first time at the East Village location. I’m getting random now, so I digress. BBQs is essentially low frills bar-b-que, known for cheap racks of saucy baby back ribs, half rotisserie chicken specials and oh yes, decadent Texas sized frozen drinks. The later is what really keeps the crowds coming, and will easily double your bill. In high school this was the spot to go to for a date. You can’t expect much from a 17-year-old, either in terms of his knowledge of more classy outposts appropriate for impressing a young lady or to simply not drop hot sauce on his new kicks. You ate here and then went to the Loews or AMC to play touchy feely in the dark. That was then. Today I’ll be damned if a dude wanted to take me here on a date(and believe me I have been asked). I defer indefinitely. #DoBetter. And I still see people here on dates. People above the age of 17. #DoBetter #DoBetter #DoBetter. I’ve still popped in this location a few times prior to seeing a movie, but not on a «date». It’s more like we’re hungry… like really hungry… and BBQs is next door. It’s one of the more affordable eateries in the neighborhood and food is usually prepared rather quickly. Sometimes there’s a wait, but usually not more than 15 minutes; this location can seat over 700 people. I really like the Bacon Cheese Crispy Onion Burger(though the old Turkey patty was better) and the Crispy Shrimp and Baby Back RIbs Combo. The frozen piña coladas contain about 359036856 calories, but are so good. I will usually order one flavored with mango or peach. You can order it virgin, regular or with an extra shot of alcohol. BBQs is notorious for including the tip in the bill or leaving what I think is a tacky little sticker indicating what are customary tipping practices. As I’ve said in some other reviews, I am a very generous tipper and resent built in service charges. But certainly everyone doesn’t tip this way and I suppose the are doing what they gotta do to make a living.

Both my friend and I ordered babyback ribs. One order was beef and the other order was a combo of chicken and ribs. Two things I want to highlight in this review: 1. The bones consisted of about 90% of our meal. 100%-90%=10%. 10% was how much meat we ate, and we were completely disappointed. The meals were not filling and were certainly overpriced. Also, the meat itself was pretty bland. 2. We had to constantly ask to refill our water. I feel as if our thirst was not understood. With all of that BBQ sauce and meat, water is essential to have alongside the plate. It is essential to refill our water in a more effective way.

Sehr leckeres BBQ in extrem guter Lage.
