It’s a Dairy Queen in Staten Island. But it’s a DQ. You know what you’ll get. And what is more romantic than taking a SI Ferry to get to a Dairy Queen? Nothing.

DQ NY Staten Island Ferry 1:15pm Monday 8th June 2015 Three Stars I have not had a DQ blizzard in forever. I bought a small fry and a mini peanut butter cough dough smash in honor of the Jurassic World movie($ 5.20). She did the turn the dessert upside and I was shocked like a little kid. I sat down and tried it myself and spilled on my bag. I ate my fries with ketchup and was able to stain my tie and dress shirt. I hate Staten Island. This place was fine but King’s Landing is not the place for me.

I need to update my former five star review and swap it out for what happened there a few weeks ago. I ordered a meal and stood to the side to wait. I guess the workers didn’t notice me watching them, but an employee accidentally spilled fries onto the work counter then swiped them into my bag, laughed to his coworker about it who had SEENHIMDOINGTHISANDLAUGHEDRIGHTALONGWITHHIM then handed them to me like nothing happened! How unsanitary! I’m thoroughly disgusted by this place now.

The first DQ I went to was at Connecticut. It was a simple ice cream place that was actually quite wonderful ice cream. Flash forward to a few years later I see there is a DQ at the Staten Island Ferry terminal. My girlfriend and I decided to check it out since we had to go to Staten Island and we were hungry coming back to the city. The staff was pretty nice. Nice and courteous smiles for us and took our orders well without mistakes. But the food was horrible and overpriced for what it was. And even though the slogan is «fun food, not fast food», it’s neither. The food was slow to come out and was really disappointing. This is more like a pet peeve, but the ketchup bottle at our table was next to empty. I had to go table by table like a scavenger hunt to find a bottle that actually had ketchup until I finally found another almost empty bottle. If you’re in the area, I’d say go to Au de Pain better. If you REALLY need a burger fix, I guess DQ is harmless enough. Just be prepared.

Disgusting, atrocious, hideous, and extremely displeasing food! Overpriced for stale food, sad to say even Wendy’s is better than this and that’s not saying much. Bad service of course and ketchup nowhere to be found. Seriously for additional dressing .65 cents. That’s worse than McDonalds.

This is a top notch spot for my girlfriend and I. We love the $ 5 Buck Lunch deal that comes with a burger, ice cream and soda! There are also hot dog or chicken strips. I also ordered in exchange for ice cream for a blizzard upgrade for $ 1. I asked for strawberry cheesecake and it was amazing. If you’re looking for a place to eat for a budget definitely stop by and try Dairy Queen!
