$ 10 for a mediocre sandwich. Also, the music in this place drives me mad. Think late 80’s dance party. Won’t be back.

Crave holds a special place in my heart. They’re right next door to my office and I come here for everything. The staff is always incredibly friendly and the space just has a great, casual vibe to it. I usually go in the mornings, when it’s quiet, for(Intelligentsia brand) coffee and breakfast. They give you a huge portion of oatmeal and have good breakfast sandwiches. The only downfall for me, personally, is that they make their breakfast sandwiches with sliced hard boiled eggs. If you visit here during lunchtime, it can be a bit overwhelming — the space is just small enough where the crowd really builds up. Aside from the busy, bustling atmosphere, this place has great sandwiches and wraps. Even the basic sandwiches are good and come with a decent amount of deli meat filling. Would definitely recommend for all of your food needs!

Updating my review because Crave has overcome its initial quality control issues and is now easily the top lunch spot in the area. Try the spicy chicken club or the spice odyssey, you won’t regret it.

Awesome place close to Bryant park– had 2 sandwiches(Rico and Pedro) and coffee(they serve intelligentsia coffee). Rico has tasty chicken and avocado(delicious and also helped me stay on my gym diet track) and the Pedro sandwich my girlfriend enjoyed since it was really tasty combining Swiss and provolone with crispy chicken. Fast service and really tasty and healthy food. They also had salads, chips(some kale chips caught my eye) and greek yoghurt. The place was super clean and so were the bathrooms. Staff was friendly, efficient and handled the crowd well. You will be amiss if you settle for the Starbucks just down the road– this place has awesome and fresh food, good services and is reasonably priced.

Whether you want a sandwich, soup, or salad, any choice is good here. Usually get the Sophie or Rico for a sandwich or the Split Pea soup if you get it before it sells out. Gets crowded around lunch but the crew there is quick and got a smooth assembly line. People working there are great and the music makes you want to dance while waiting. Only drawback is that it can be a bit pricey but that’s the same anywhere I guess.

Good sandwich with a large price. The whole which line? where to pay? where to wait? process needs work especially during the crowded lunch rush. I probably won’t be back unless it’s based pouring rain as this location is less than a block away.

So, I had to get a catered client lunch for six at the last moment, and i couldn’t order until 11:30 on the dot, and… CRAVE saved us! Shout out to Stephany! Thank you for providing such incredible, top shelf services, especially at the last minute. I finished calling in a pretty complex order and was able to have it all picked up **within 15 minutes**. That is beyond incredible, but honestly, its par the course for these guys. Not to mention the added bonus of seeing a pretty serious client meeting lightened up by sandwiches called ‘the Reagan’ and ‘the Eighth Wonder’. XOXOX– Shandra(and all of Midtown West, honestly)

Not a great experience. Service was slow, they charged $ 3-$ 4 more than any other place in the neighborhood for a salad and the ingredients weren’t fresh. The lettuce was soggy and smelly, and I didn’t even get salad dressing so I know it wasn’t because I let it sit for too long. Won’t be going back.

Food is a 3.5, but the staff here is pretty friendly so bumping it up to a 4. Good breakfast sandwiches! Mine was egg and prosciutto on an everything bagel, toasted, and it came out to be around $ 5.50. They didn’t skimp at all on the filling and it turned out to be a hefty sandwich — the two halves got me through breakfast and most of lunch. The egg was actually a smashed hard boiled egg, which was a pleasant surprise since I was expecting scrambled, and the prosciutto was quite flavorful. Service is also quite prompt and I was in and out during prime breakfast hours in just a couple of minutes.

I was surprised at the amount of attractive girls that were at crave sandwiches during lunchtime. The other thing that really surprised me was the fact that you can hear the music in this place all the way down the block. Crave sandwiches it is a very interesting sandwich shop in Midtown. They are located between fifth and the avenue of America one block away from Bryant Park. The thing that stuck out to me most about crave was that their music was very loud. Crave is a good little sandwich shop they have everything from breakfast items in the morning. you can get bagel with cream cheese butter or locks. They do have egg sandwiches for breakfast as well. Most of the items that crave has available are lunch items. they have a lot of different options on their menu for sandwiches, hence the name. I ended up just getting a turkey lettuce and cheese on a sub and I have to say it was very good. I wasn’t really expecting much from the sandwich shop it just look like a really modern sandwich shop from the street. I actually thought it was a chain of places called crave sandwiches. But I came to find out, it was not a chain. If you are around the Bryant Park area I do recommend that you stop here and get something quick to eat it’s just a block away from the park so instead of hitting up a street vendor you could come here and get an actual sub sandwich or wrap. I think when you come here and you see the amount of toppings that you can get on your Sandwedge you will be amazed. Overall crave is a good place to get a sandwich I have nothing against the place they Do play very loud music and the girls that were in the sandwich shop during lunch were actually very attractive I was pleasantly surprised if you are in the Bryant Park area. I recommend stopping here and getting a sandwich or wrap instead of just going to a street vendor and getting something quick PROS: — modern and clean — crazy loud music — good subs

The worst lunch ever! I placed an order to Crave Catering for 15 people the price was almost $ 300 and the sandwiches were awful! Bread was not fresh, Tuna was terrible, most of my co workers just threw the sandwiches away. I can say that the potato chips and the salad were okay, but those things aren’t particularly hard to screw up. But $ 300 for just a few crappy sandwiches? And when I called to complain they told me that I was wrong, that everything was fresh, and refused to compensate me or the company in anyway. Such horrible customer service. Never ordering from them again.

It’s really difficult for me to not go here. I basically walk out my building’s side entrance and wham-o there’s Crave. Walk in, the music is thumping, cute girls right nearby… and then I realize I’m just there to get a coffee… or sandwich… or salad. All of which are very good. A wee bit over priced though… and often they run out of stuff toward the end of lunch time. It’s not a place you are going to go out of your way for, but some of the sandwiches are very creative… although I tend to go for the pretty plain Gary, and for the salads, just the House salad… although they give a nice helping of goat cheese. Overall, I’m happy it’s there. If maybe only for the cute girls at the register. No seriously… the food and coffee is good too.(just bring your Visa card.) Last note, their catering services are really good. On time, great selection, and rarely an order missed.

This place used to be packed, would have to wait 15 minutes to get a sandwich. More recently I have noticed nobody comes in. It’s not a wonder since the food is sub par, the avocado spread used to be homemade and is now store bought, the amount of meat and protein spread, i.e. egg salad, is nearly half of what it used to be. The sandwich’s are caked in mustard and all this for an $ 11.00 sandwich? Something the local B rated deli on the corner can offer. Management should take the time to reflect on the loss in customer and revenues. It’s not because the fade of the«new» restaurant has dissipated but because the quality and cost are not justified.

Grabbed lunch to-go with a coworker and ate in Bryant Park. We both enjoyed our food. Décor: It’s a to-go sandwich shop, so there isn’t much to look at from a décor stand point. But, it is very clean, very well lit, and has nothing to hide(you can see them making the sandwiches right in front of you. I think they have a very limited number of places to sit down and eat, like I said it’s more of a to-go place. Bathroom: I did not visit while there. Staff: The sandwich guy and the cashier were both very friendly. Our food was made pretty rapidly as well. Food/Drinks: The food is very good. They have sandwiches and soups, of which we had both. The Lauren(good) and the Buffalo Club Special(very good) with chips and a chili made up our order. The rest of the menu sounded appetizing as well. Value: I ended up spending more than I would like for lunch. Granted, I had a sandwich, chips, chili, and two drinks, but the prices are just a bit higher than one would want to see for a lunch place. It won’t be in my standard rotation but I will definitely consider it again as the food was good and there are other menu items I definitely want to try.

$ 9.75 for a tuna melt. That’s $ 10.62 after tax. Add chips and drink, and you’re looking at $ 14+ for lunch from a takeout sandwich place. Ummm…no?

I come here all the time, because I like their ingredients, but their salad-bar service is just so, so bad. I don’t usually write a bad review, unless something is either really bad, or has been bad for a while. Here, the service has been bad for a while. I went to grab a salad early today — they didn’t actually«chop» anything(I have half of an avocado in my salad right now), they left half the salad in the mixing bowl, and they COMPLETELY over dressed the guy in front of me’s salad — to the point where the salad looked soaked in vinegar and was no longer edible. I wish their service was better, because I really want to love this place.

From the tips I had a cinnamon raisin bagel with lox spread. bagel was OK(good store that it was from but it was a bit hard) and the lox spread wasn’t that well lox-y for the price.

The best sandwiches in Midtown(as proven by the long ass lines). They have so many different combinations and if you can’t find one that’s just right for you, you can make your own. I love that you can add potato chips to your sandwich because I’ve always eaten my sandwiches like that. The Sophie is probably the one I order the most but all of the ones I’ve tried have been really fresh and flavorful! Bonus points for a staff that’s always smiling. ALSOTHEPICKLES. I love the pickles!
