Great little deli right next to the court house. Affordable prices and the sandwiches are pretty damn good. Never had any issues, staff is courteous, really cannot complain.

This deli is conveniently located near the court house. There are not many options from what I saw in the area and this place was right across the street. I stopped in for breakfast and lunch while on jury duty. The sandwiches were decent and reasonably priced. Nothing that blew my mind though. They also have a number of tables to sit and eat, which was nice.

I really just came here for a bottle of water, but the staff seem pretty nice. My friend had gotten a coffee here and it was pretty inexpensive.

This place is clean, quick and has the perfect location because its surrounded by courthouses and there is nowhere else to eat that is noteworthy for something quick to eat in this neighborhood.

I am an attorney who used to stop here for coffee in the morning and lunch in the afternoon. It used to be an OK place until I saw a HUGE roach crawl up the back wall to my right and go behind a picture hanging on the wall. Plus the owners, while friendly, don’t believe in turning on the air conditioning in the summer. Hey guys, your clientele consists of attorneys in SUITS. We are HOT. Turn on the freaking air conditioning. I miss Eddy’s place.

This is the only deli in the area and thankfully, it’s a good one. The civil and supreme courts are across the street(hence the name) and this is one of the better meal options available to jurors. It is also very popular with the lawyers for breakfast and lunch. The staff is courteous and the restaurant is clean. There are 6 – 8 tables in the back. There is a selection of hot food as well. Usually 1 selection each of fish, beef, chicken and pasta with sundry side dishes. I eat here often and the food is good. Everything is on one level, so easily accessible for the handicapped. The prices are fair when compared to the other local places that have hot food and seating. But the other places serve specific ethnic menus, play loud music and have steps to get to seating areas. Courthouse Deli is good food at fair prices. I recommend it.

LOVE this place! Was in the area for a court appearance, from out of state. After court was all set, I of course was hungry, and directly accross from the Surrogate Court, was this little gem. I had walked up and down that part of Sutphin Blvd but decided on here, and GLAD I did! From the staff to the patrons, it was a great place to be!.. I had a tough time choosing what I wanted(other patrons noticed) and kindly offered suggestions on what was good there. I settled on a warm plate of rice & veggies with grilled chicken, and it hit the spot! Rice was buttery, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and moist :) The place is very clean, staff is super friendly! If I ever happen to head back this way, I am soo coming here again!

For an area that has very few other choices, paying more for food here is probably acceptable. If you’re an attorney practicing here or a member of the general public who finds yourself in such an area for jury duty or otherwise, this is a good place to stop during your lunch/breakfast break. Please flee the area if you’re leaving court and don’t have an appearance required case, though. There are too many other options in other areas and it’s not worth it to come here just for what this place has to offer.

probably the only decent deli in the area, i only eat at courthouse deli when i’m in the area. their sandwiches are fresh, service is friendly, and tables are clean. prices are on the high side but i rather pay a little more for the peace of mind that i won’t get a tummy ache in the middle of an afternoon meeting. note that the weekday lunch crowd comprises of mostly attorneys.

The Management changed about a year ago. The staff is still the same, but the prices soared!!! The menu is not as consistant as the previous owners. I loved the Cream of Broccoli soup, but they don’t make it too often(the old owners made it every Thursday) Make sure you order your food and then wait on the line while they prepare it… the lines get pretty long during lunch hour. The food is tasty, but the cost leaves a bad taste in my mouth! The commute from the courthouse is so close, people deal with the prices in order to get their food quickly and neglect the prices.

This deli opened almost a year ago and has been the favorite spot of most of the employees around the court house. Located right in front of the Supreme Court and a block away from the Civil Court, it has threatened some of the old businesses nearby. Why? because of the price and service. Everything fresh… their prices, really very affordable. They offer Breakfasf/Breakfast Platters as early as 6:00in the morning. They have lunch specials, Salad Bar and Steam Table. They have«pernil» roast pork almost every day. Catering is also available. The Yemeni owners are very pleasant and so are the people behind the counter.
