Not a great class. You don’t really get to learn much. Pros: — Good setting — prepared food portion was great Cons: — instructor wasn’t very nice(tried to joke around, but wasn’t funny. Jokes were like«NONO. You’re using too much chocolate. Remember the rest of the class needs it too!) — didn’t learn much about cooking(pretty much just a pass/pour/mix class) — no recipes to take home — ate the food right after the class and my friend and I both got a stomach ache!!! I don’t think the food was cooked all the way Bleh.

I recently was invited to check out Cook&Go Culinary Studio. This awesome cooking school hosts a variety of cooking workshops with fun and lively instructors that make cooking fun! Each class gives you a three course meal that you get to take home — after you cook it of course. The best part is that there’s something for everyone. With a different menu each month, you can learn how to cook nearly everything. For example, this month’s menu includes the«TV Tray Menu» and March Madness-inspired recipes. I had a great time making healthy, fitness-inspired recipes during the cooking session I attended. The group atmosphere and instructors made for a lively and engaging few hours. The menu we whipped up consisted of: Chickpea Burgers and Tahini Sauce Spinach, apple, carrot, ginger smoothie Raspberry filled shortbread sandwich I highly recommend checking out Cook&Go. It’s the perfect spot for a fun date night or group excursion. I know I’ll be keeping a close eye on their class schedule to see what they’ll be cooking up next month.

I took a class here on Thursday night and it was so much fun. Cook & Go is a beautiful, vibrant space. We cooked cakes filled with dates; s’more shooters; apricot chicken; tuscan white bean crostini; and purses filled with pear, brie, and raspberry. Christina was our teacher. I’m a beginner when it comes to cooking so I appreciated that she spoke to my level. I also appreciated the complimentary wine, there’s nothing like cooking with a glass of wine in your hand. I think everyone’s favorite dish was the s’more shooters(I know I ate about 3 or 4 of them) but everything was delicious and it felt satisfying to eat the food knowing that I made it myself. Christina has experience cooking in an NYC restaurant and she shared some of her restaurant stories at the end of the night while we were eating our fresh out of the oven dishes. I recommend Cook & Go and would come back again.

Based off a class I took last year: Found a groupon deal for a class here and with an additional $ 10 groupon discount offered at the time, I only paid $ 5 for this. The options I had were limited, and I wound up taking a Scandinavian course in which we prepared Smoked salmon and Vodka Charlotte Cake, Lihipurrakka, and Runeberg’s Muffin. The instructor was very friendly and laid-back, and the class consisted of 6 others and myself. While the class was fun, it felt more like a «Food Prep Class» than a «Cooking Class». One dish required us to bake it at home and another didn’t require any cooking. For $ 5, yes it was worth it. However, I don’t think I’d pay the full price for a class.
