I have been going here consistently since I moved to Manhattan in 2012 and have never had any complaints. They are very fast, reliable, reasonably-priced and friendly. Jessica(the owner and manager) works there six days a week and is quite responsive. It’s a great family-owned small business worth supporting. I go mainly for the dry cleaning, but the laundry service is reasonable as well. Never had anything tailored there, but it’s also an option.

Blatantly inept as a tailor! A sewing machine does not make you a tailor! She destroyed my pants and cannot do something as easy as cuffing pants

The last here is so nice and the service is fast(only takes a day). Don’t know what else you’d need from a dry cleaning place

I lived in the area for several years, and struggled to find a good place to do dry cleaning and wash and fold. I used Ye Olde Dry Cleaners(Amsterdam and 120th) and Riverside Cleaners(right around the corner from Columbia on Bway and Tiemann) and Columbia Cleaners beat them both in my book. I only discovered them in my last year in the area and I wish I had found them sooner. They are very friendly, do good work, and are an awesome value. They return my shirts, suits, and other things well pressed and clean. When I point out stains they were dealt with. And wash and fold is only 80¢/pound! I’m out of the area now and miss the great service and price of Columbia Cleaners. I recommend you use this quality, family run establishment!

Dry Cleaning Review Update While I’m still happy with the wash and fold here, I don’t know that I’ll be taking back anything except dress shirts. I brought in a sport coat to be dry cleaned and while it was pressed nicely, the small bit of dirt/stain was NOT removed and they put my nice sport coat on a WIRE hanger. Huge fail. The place is cheap overall, so it might be worth it for pants or other things, but no way I take back a sport coat or suit again.

I do not recommend Columbia Cleaners. They damaged a number of my clothes. Several of my shirts came back with the buttons broken. They kindly offered to replace all the buttons on the shirts(thus 2 stars instead of one). However after the sixth shirt, replacing all the buttons grew tiresome. The last straw was when they returned an $ 80 dress to me with the thick starched collar completely limp and ruined. It appeared as though they had washed the dress in a machine, rather than dry cleaned it as requested. I tried in vain to fix the collar of the dress with an iron, but it appears as though it will never be repaired to look as it did before I brought the dress to the cleaners. I took my clothes here for nearly a year before finally making the switch to Riverside Cleaners(on Broadway and Tiemann). The owner is very sweet, but unfortunately that does not make up for the quality of the service. For those who care about the condition of their clothes, I’d suggest steering clear of this place.

I’ve been sadly disappointed with the quality of the dry cleaners in up in this area. After a 1.5 years I finally tried Columbia and was impressed. My shirts actually came back whiter. The pressing was crisp and done perfectly. My only issue is she can not perform same day service.
