What a great place! Speakeasy style. Music is great, I danced like crazy and the cocktail are very good. New hidden club you have to discover!

I came here because of the reviews and this place is the biggest rip off! When we came in it seemed really seedy. Who was either the manager or owner told us it was a $ 20 cover charge and we were in luck because the show was just starting. We sat down to a really awkward performance of amateur jazz which seemed like a couple of college kids rehearsing for about half an hour of the same unpleasant song. Then the performer passed out resting his head on the piano for about ten minutes and the show was over. I could see except for another couple the few people in the audience were friends of the performers. This was a total scam. We called over the manager/owner and complained why was this $ 20 a person? He basically said tough luck and didn’t offer any type of discount or even a complimentary drink to make up for this crap. This was a terrible experience and I wouldn’t be surprised if the good reviews were from friends just like the audience members. Worst establishment I’ve ever been to.

Ok I’m going to be heavily biased about my review because I simply love Richard Bona and his music. I was extremely lucky to have been coming To NYC during Easter and the artist himself happened to be having shows the same weekend. I simply couldn’t pass this up. Bought two VIP tickets for the first show on Friday, but after a lenghtly flight delay, we missed the show. I emailed the club and was rescheduled for the Saturday show. They were very understanding, and they respond quick, don’t bother calling. The club is small, then again it’s sit-down only and it’s NY. VIP simply entitles you to choose your seats earlier than general seating, but since the club is small any price seating is still perfect. Drink prices are normal, the sound acoustics is great! Richard makes everyone feel captivated by his voice and audience interactions. He sounds amazing in person and in such close quarters, ï can hear the man breath. I almost cried during one of his songs. We took a cab to the place so ï don’t know what parking is like. A must do in NY. Thank fou for the experience. Hope ï can catch a show on your North America tour. Chao Chao

This was a great surprise for us. We wanted to find a jazz club in the neighbourhood. We found them online and got tickets for Roxy Coss. From the exterior we thought we had the wrong address. We took the tiny elevator to the 3rd floor and found ourselves in the bar. We had a couple of drinks and headed into a small(seats 60?) room with the stage. The service was very friendly. We really enjoyed the charcuterie platter and a bottle of wine. The crowd was small, but very attentive and knowledgeable. This isn’t a place where the musicians play background music. This was a real jazz show with an audience that knows jazz. The sound for the show was fantastic. Roxy Coss put on a great show. Club Bonafide and Roxy Coss really exceeded our expectations.

A small club, with authentic atmosphere. Enjoyed a set by the Roxy Coss Quintet. Good charcuterie board and bottle of wine.

Wandered in here by accident one night, while looking for a different bar in the same, completely nondescript midtown building. We thought we were going to just have a drink at the bar, but a peek behind the curtain to the back of the space revealed an amazing jam session in progress, and we decided to stay. Was back again three nights later, to hear some beautiful Cuban jazz. Impeccable sound system, unexpected location, incredibly nice people. CRIMINALLY under-attended gigs. Everyone should know about this place and give them more business!

Amazing sound! Very personal venue with beautiful lighting and quality sound. Whisky sour could be a little stiffer, but that’s ok. 5 star

I cannot say enough great things about this venue and the top notch musicians who play here. We came at the recommendation of our hotel concierge and were absolutely blown away. Love the intimacy and feeling of shared experience with the other patrons and musicians. Servers were great. My cocktail was eclectic. Highly recommend.

Went here on a Saturday night to listen to a new artist I discovered. This venue is very intimate and cozy. I would say it fit about 50 ppl max. Lighting is low, cozy corner sections available and the acoustics are perfect. No overly loud speaker systems that make you wonder if you lost your hearing. This place has a very extensive wine list and serves small plates. So don’t come hungry. If you do there is a pub next door that serves decent wings etc. All in all this place is great for groups and perfect for a date night. I will be returning.

Definitely enjoyed our evening at Club Bonafide. We were there for the second show in the evening that Gregoire Maret was headlining, and he was exhausted… but frankly, the drummer and piano accompaniment was what made the show for me and my other guests. The place is up on the 3rd floor, but skip the elevator and take the stairs, it’s good for you :) You’ll come into the bar area right away, and the folks there are super welcoming and basically get a drink in your hand asap. The cocktail menu is okay. I think they may be trying to be a bit too fancy, but that said, skip the cocktail and go straight to the whisky list. They apparently have shows 6 nights a week, which is nuts, but on some nights have two different acts… so you could potentially see 12 different acts in a single week there… so, it appears to have something for everyone. NOTE: It’s an intimate space, definitely meant for watching the performance, and isn’t so much a lounge where you’re going to talk over the music. Pro tip would be to plan to hang out for an hour or so after the first act, and or show up an hour before the second act to have some conversation and then enjoy the show! We’ll be back.

Satisfied with Bonafide! What a great spot to hear jazz with great artists and just plain relax. I was at Club Bonafide to see Sammy Figueroa and his LJE perform last night. What an amazing performance. From the minute you walk into Bonafide, you experience a warm friendly spot with a great vibe. The general manager, Andrei, who greeted us has a service team which really shows Bonafide is about great service and bringing you top talent with an amazing sound system. We had the appetizer cheese board which I would recommend along with a great IPA. At last, midtown east side has a place to hear jazz music with celebrated artists, have great drinks, wine, and feel totally at home.

I visited this club opening weekend to see Nik West. She is an amazing bassist, check her out if you haven’t already. I have to say I loved this place. Getting there was interesting because you’re not expecting to find it where it is. The inside is nice and feels like an old school jazz club. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the drinks were good. I hope to get back there soon! Check it out if you get a chance, before it gets too popular and you can’t get in!
