How the hell is this at 2.5 stars? Classpass is basically the best fitness option around. Some background info about me: I like to work out but I get bored so I like taking classes because it’s an easy way to mix it up. With that being said, due to said boredom, I also have difficulty committing to any one workout or studio because … it’s boring! I also work a job that has long and very unpredictable hours so I need something that provides me with classes from 5AM to 9PM. I’ve burned hundreds(probably thousands) of dollars on gym memberships and fitness classes where I didn’t go because the hours didn’t work for me, I got bored, the business went out of business before I could use them all, WHATEVER. I live in LA where gyms and fitness studios abound and I always lamented the fact that I would have to commit to at least one at a time. Come classpass and all my prayers are answered. They offer classes all over southern California at all hours of the day, from 5AM to 10PM! They have all of the hot classes that you read about and all of the popular studios(minus soul cycle, but with the abundance of sick spin classes in LA, who cares). Bummers: * there is a $ 15 cancellation fee if you cancel within 12 hours of the class and a $ 20 fee if you don’t show. My workaround is that I just reserve late. I have very rarely encountered a class being full, even though I will reserve for my weekday sessions as late as the hour right before. * the price recently went up from $ 100 to $ 120 a month. Still, though, if you go to even 10 classes a month(which you will because trust me, it is addictive) it ends up being $ 12 a class, and this is at studios where a single class will usually set you back upwards of $ 20. WELLWORTHIT. * you are capped at 3 visits to any one studio in a one month period. It’s kind of a bummer but it also encourages you to try lots of new routines, which is a plus. With that being said, the three visit applies to ALL studios in the chain — so if you love pure barre, you can only go to three total regardless of the location. Abandon your gym. You know Equinox’s hours and class variety/hours suck anyway. Get on the classpass bandwagon. You won’t regret it.

ClassPass has changed my life. Seriously. I’ve never been more committed to working out, not to mention in shape, as I am right now. Living in Los Angeles, there are SOMANY classes/gyms to choose from, I never get bored. I initially signed up for Barre classes only, but over the last 6 months, have branched out to a million other things… dance, pilates, yoga, kickboxing, even crossfit! I never would’ve tried any of this without ClassPass. The $ 99/month rate is so insanely good when you consider how expensive most of these studios are on their own. The 12-hour cancellation policy can be a bit of a pain sometimes, I know, but honestly? It’s the only thing that actually gets me out of bed in the morning to get to my 6am classes! TL;DR: ClassPass forever, amen.
