So far my experience with this pharmacy has been good. I am getting treatment through No Fault and many of the big chain pharmacies instead of saying they don’t know how to deal with No Fault they just tell me they don’t take it. I get this a lot in the downtown Brooklyn area Rite Aid on Clinton Street and Joralemon Street and Duane Reade on Court Street & Joralemon Street. Yet big chain pharmacies that do process No Fault just keep me there for however long it takes to get approval this is true of the E 48th Street Duane Reade near 5th Ave and Rite Aid Cypress Ave & Myrtle Avenue. City Hall pharmacy has been great they take their time and don’t make you wait there for the prescription to be approved, they will call you to let you know(or so they told me yet I didn’t get a call). I go to the medical office above their location every Monday so I know that the following Monday my prescription should be ready so I really don’t need the phone call. The pharmacist is very nice and friendly, she explained why it takes so long for approval. She also explained the medication and side effects. I will continue to use them for No Fault and eventually when I use my own health insurance(when I get it that is).

This pharmacy is honestly THE best… Even though the location is not close to my apartment, I try to use them as often as I can(versus another big brand pharmacy that’s literally on every block in my neighborhood) because their customer service and knowledge is top notch. The pharmacist there, Theresa, is amazing… I have been seeing her for over four years now, and from the first day I was referred to her, she has remembered my name, the medications I’m on and always asks about my family and health– you can tell that she really cares about me as a person, I’m not just a number. On top of that, I have NEVER waited for more than 10 minutes to get my medications filled– and whenever there’s an issue with my insurance, Theresa and her staff do all the leg work(vs a chain store where I would be responsible for calling my doctor, then the pharmacy, then my insurance, and wasting hours of my time). She also REALLY knows her stuff– and there have been times where I was prescribed a medication that would cost me upwards of $ 400, but because she’s so knowledgeable in her field and conscientious of her patients’ best interest, she’s been able to find me an alternative medication(with the doctor’s approval, of course) that is much more in my budget and works just as well. Seriously, if you have the chance to use City Hall Pharmacy, you won’t be disappointed. Best pharmacy in NYC hands down.

Life saver! I was in the city just for the day from Pittsburgh and had to go to an urgent care for swelling in my leg. I don’t have any doctors or pharmacies in the area. The doctor I went to wrote a script for an out of network store, so I ended up having to go back to the doctor and got a hard-copy hand written script. The urgent care was in the 100 block of Broadway, the only place my insurance told me about was on the 700 block. I was walking(limping) down toward the 700 block and was about to get a cab when I spotted this place. I walked in, explained my situation, and they had me in and out in about 5 minutes. Super friendly, knowledgeable, just a great experience.

I love this pharmacy. Hands down, they have the best customer service. Friendly, fast and always incredibly helpful. It’s not a convenient location for me, but I don’t care. I stick with them because they deserve my business over a chain.
