They no longer offer pastries. Was said to arrive and just see drinks on the menu. Very odd setup. I would have assumed it was a handbag store if not for Unilocal.Just a drinks/coffee shop now.

One day I was craving Macarons while strolling around Chinatown/Little Italy along with my sister and we came across this place. I decided to buy some Macarons for my little sister and I, since my little sister enjoys Macarons as well. When I ordered, I chose 5 flavors and went to the train station a few blocks down. As soon as I got on the train and tasted one of them, I knew the rest weren’t going to turn out too well either. 3 of them tasted like candles and 2 had no flavor. The texture was wrong too. No chewiness at all and nothing but crunch, plus they don’t even have proper feet and shape. It was either selling for too long/stale or they didn’t know how to make them. I had my sister try the other halves of the macarons and she just shook her no and made faces. Overall, nahhh. But maybe I’ll try this place again to see if they’ve improved. *UPDATE: FROMWHAT I’VEHEARD, THEYNOLONGERSELLFOOD*

$ 1.00 macarons. Just too good to be true. And on a street bordering Little Italy and Chinatown it makes sense but it was just… Not good. The lady and her husband was nice enough. I inquired about the cannoli macarons and she wasn’t able to give me a good enough description but I bought one anyway. I noticed that a lot of the macarons were cracked. She gave me an extra one for free cuz the other cracked. But once eating the cannoli one it was all goo and not fully cooked through. The other macarons like the black sesame and red velvet held up a little better but I did not enjoy the taste. There is also a wall of brightly lit cookies and pastries. I bought something which I thought was a raspberry scone but turned out to be a shortbread cookie that tasted kind of stale and turned to powder in my mouth. The rugelach and chocolate tarts looked a little more appealing but I’d rather just save my money. I give her props for trying to raise a living for her two kids who are seen playing in the store but I doubt that I ever really want to return here. It was difficult to find since this is basically a souvenir shop selling hand bags and pizza? We saw pepper flakes and garlic powder and were confused how they go with baked goods. This shop is better left for the tourists. You can get much better stuff for a dollar in chinatown at any other bakery.

This place is 1⁄3 Bakery, 1⁄3 Pizza shop, and 1⁄3 Handbag shop, and they sell delightful little macarons in a wide array of flavors for the low price of $ 1. We tried the salty caramel, lychee, chai, coconut, and sesame flavors and the salty caramel and lychee were my favorites. They were all well flavored and the cookies had a lovely crunchy outside and soft inside. All in all, great macarons. My boyfriend tried the chocolate samosa and it was lovely and coconutty as well. We’ll have to come back to try the croissant-doughnuts soon.

Their macaroons are great, and for only $ 1 each, it’s an amazing deal!

I passed by this place a couple of times. It had an interesting setup, half of this place sold bags, while the other half sells baked goods. The baked goods side was enough to get me to at least give them a try. I ended up buying some macarons at $ 1 each. I obviously wasn’t expecting authentic macarons, but they were still pretty good! Better than a lot of those other Asian bakery attempts at it. I got six of them: salted caramel, rose water, sesame, earl grey, lychee and chestnut. They were good, but I liked the salted caramel the most. I would like to come back and try their other goodies! Maybe an éclair? =)
