Attended an amazing wedding reception here Friday night. The only thing I didn’t like was the appearance of the outside and entrance hallway. There’s scaffolding in front of the entrance which was very unattractive and made it hard to see the entrance. The entrance hallway was a bit stuffy. The food was phenomenal. There’s a full bar with all your premium liquor choices. Their cocktail shrimp was the highlight of the hour… they were JUMBOJUMBO shrimp. Dinner started with a sweet cold lobster with string beans in lemon and oil. I loved this appetizer… it’s a lobster lover dream come true. For dinner you had 3 choice: Miso Chilean Sea Bass, Roast Filet or Beef in perigourdine sauce, and a vegetarian plate(think it was a pasta dish). The dessert was an ice cream profiterole with chocolate fondue… the ice cream was a coffee flavor in a pastry shell. It was fine dining at its best. This is definitely an awesome place to hold fabulous gala.

As the guest of a very lavish wedding party, I was extremely impressed with the venue that is Cipriani of 5th Avenue in the Flatiron District. While the wedding itself was fantastic, the decadent evening was owed to Cipriani’s fine taste in décor, food, and spacious interior. Many people that come here will immediately recognize the upscale factor and likely enamored with the settings that make this place perfect for large parties. Service is extremely professional and the folks behind the bar know how to make a mean cocktail. From the cocktail hor’duerves to the entrees(Chilean Sea Bass was amazing) of the night, the food is fantastic and presented in a way where resisting temptation to try random foods is hard to do. All in all, Cirpriani will serve in my memory as a great place to enjoy fun parties and has my recommendation(though I don’t want to see the bill) for any high class wedding reception in the city. There has to be some point in which Cipriani’s is ultimately overrated, but until I dine here 10 more times or be forced to host an event here personally, I doubt I’ll ever get to that point.
