The Manager Brian is worthless. I live across the street, go to this restaurant all the time, and this chain is always out of food. No beans, chicken, veggies… always something. Tonight it was no beans, no fajita vegetables, no chicken, and no chips. They were out of beans as one of the employees put them on her own burrito directly in front of me. I asked the cashier(Kathryn) if she could give me free guac, as there were no chips(along with everything else). she said no. The manager(Brian) turns to me as says, do you want the guac ORNOT? Just frustrated and ended up walking out.

This chipotle was ON it! Really generous portions, just tasted good, they had great costumer service and they were super quick and efficient. I strongly suggest this chipotle above some of the others around the area!

When you go to chipotle, you know what you want before you go there and it’s pretty much the same everywhere you go. Their burritos are well made and I like the way they cook their chicken especially with guac. The only downside to this chipotle is how crowded it gets, which makes it hard to get a sit down spot.

burnt vegetables. i love the chipotle chain but this place doesn’t know how to cook their peppers and onions. they were completely burnt the last 3 times i came here. i gave them an out hte first 2 times but a third time? see the photo. if you claim to be a healthy option to mcdonalds; please get your basic vegetables right first.

Chipotle is my all time favorite restaurant but since right now I’m vacationing in New York I’d stop by. Went to the first one I saw and this location … Uhm, sucks. They really lack in portion size. The amount of rice and meat and over all all toppings was pitiful. I usually don’t finish all my bowl but damn near finished this little bowl I got and then threw it away. Rice was very hard and the employees were rude and one girl scooped some meat with a fork and ate it infront of us out of the container … Can you say UNPROFESSIONAL?! I won’t be coming back.

Someone from Chipotle corporate needs to visit this location and remedy the many issues here. I am a Chipotle die-hard and have realistic expectations for a busy location in midtown NYC. No doubt about it, this is a bottom-decile Chipotle. I will elaborate: Food prep: The wrong kind of consistency. The chicken is consistently burnt, the beans consistently watery, and the brown rice consistently undercooked. The meat is the absolute worst here — I have not ONCE experienced properly cooked meat here. It is ALWAYS overcooked. Personnel: This location’s workers do not seem to be properly trained. Incorrect portion sizes, disregard for customer requests, and poor rolling technique are symptomatic of this. I have never seen a manager present. No one here seems to *care* about the product. Hygiene: While generally hygienic it is not the best in this respect: I have seen cleaning spray too close to food prep(i.e. getting chemicals on my burrito), the occasional employee both handle food and money, and frequently filthy surfaces. The end result is that burritos here almost always burst open, are 50−75% rice, and taste bland. Most of the time the meat tastes more like burnt char than tender protein. I have yet to have a burrito that meets Chipotle average for NYC(or even Chipotle 25th percentile on a national level). By way of background: due to my office and home’s proximity to this location I’ve eaten here probably 20 – 30 times in the last 1.5 years. I have lived in California, Illinois, NJ, and NY and travel frequently. I have eaten at probably 50 Chipotle locations across the country, approximately 1 – 2 a week for the last 7 years. That comes out to about 350 – 700 visits. I know what to expect and this is location is consistently a major disappointment.

SUPERSLOW. Waited nearly 20 minutes, which is kind of crazy for fast food. Sparse in terms of meat and toppings for my burrito bowl. Not my favorite chipotle experience. Definitely wouldn’t return to this location. Nexttttt.

Chipotle in general is amazing, so I don’t feel like I need to comment there. I don’t usually review chains, because they’re pretty predictable. But this particular location gives the tiniest portion sizes of any Chipotle I’ve ever been to. I live nearby and went to this location a bunch of times, so I know it’s not a fluke from one particular bowl-maker. My bowl weighs like half of what it weights at other Chipotles, and this makes me grumpy.

Chipolte Mexican Grill is(normally) one of my favorite places for fast food. The menu is basic and the food is consistently good. I got food to go a couple of times at this location as it was close to the subway exit. As always, the line moved fast. So why the low rating? Simple. The amount of shredded beef, chicken or pork that actually made it onto my tacos was laughable. Instead of tongs to pick up the meat, the management should consider using surgical tweezers. I really should have made a video of the process of how the chicken was picked up… shaken off… and arranged to partially cover the base of the tortilla. You could literally see how nervous the crew person was. The pico de gallo and cheese were also applied the same gingerly way. I finally had to ask the individual preparing my order on my second visit why the extra small portions? And, the answer was because the manager stresses margins to the crew… less food on the taco/bowl/burrito means a better bottom line revenue for the store. Well, that makes sense, but why not just charge more and serve a respectable amount of food? This made my second and final visit to this location. I cannot recommend this particular Chipolte because of the exceptionally poor value that you will receive for your money. The food was good, and I applaud the honesty of the individual that answered my question. In my opinion, the very best food and value for Mexican food is still the street carts. Buen comer de todo !

Lets first say that I love chipotle. The food, its amazing. I have toured all around America and eaten it in many a state. However, this location is the absolute worst I have ever encountered and I will absolutely never go again. There are so many around this location that it is easily avoided. The customer service is ABSOLUTE crap. The servers signal you to talk faster(even when there is no line) so that they can get back to doing… well…nothing. The person behind me in line wasn’t sure if he wanted a burrito or bowl and the server said«well im already holding a bowl so you can have that»…which the customer actually didn’t want. Then the server who was in such a rush to choose toppings didn’t actually listen to peoples response and put a bunch of hot sauce on the guy behind me’s burrito. Which he said oh I said«just a little» and she said FINE ill wipe it off then proceeding to take out a little cup and scoop a bunch of his toppings out of the burrito. Such a horrible experience. I will never go again. They should hire new people.

Went back here after Labor Day and the service was way better. It seems to be all new staff here. They hook up the portions and move quickly. Food also was stocked. In the past the rice, chicken and fajitas were always low or you had to step to the side and wait for refills to come in from the kitchen. Now everything was fresh and filled and ready to go.

I go here regularly since I work in the area. The service is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s great and they are on top of it and sometimes I am standing at the register waiting to pay for my burrito that was finished being made 5 minutes ago. A couple of times my burrito will rip while they are rolling it — sometimes they offer to remake it or wrap it in a second tortilla and sometimes they don’t. Consistency would be nice, but overall, I like this place. It’s better than most Chipotles, but ALWAYS crowded.

This is Chipotle. Doesn’t matter where you go, the food is the same and alway good(only benefit to chain restaurants). Nothing spectacular, but always an easy go to. I love their veggie burrito bowl. Saves on the carbs(especially if you cut the rice). I love their beans, both the pinto and the black, well seasoned and cooked well. The veggies are fresh and with the vegetarian option, you get their amazing guac for free! I don’t know what makes their guac so fantastic, but it really is just amazing!

Was on the road and started getting hungry, just needed something quick because I had an appointment in 30 minutes. There I saw Chipotle, I like their food as a fast food alternative, as oppose to BK, McDonalds etc. It was the typical Chipotle lay out, the line was long but it moved pretty fast. The guys that work the line are pretty good and I give props to them for being able to handle the line so well and get the food going so quickly. It is however more expensive than your typical BK etc meal. Even though it was crowded there were seats available to sit and eat, the tables were clean and I like the fact that I could sit facing the road. Overall a decent experience for a fast food place.

Chipotle will usually get 4 stars from me and will only go lower based on specific variables. This chipotle moved the line slower than others. The people making the burritos were fast but the register was slow and they only had one which is always a fatal mistake at Chipotle. Another flaw is when the burrito falls apart when you are eating it. This was a result of them not wrapping it in the foil well enough so one half was pretty much exposed and prevented you from keeping the burrito together by unwrapping the foil downwards as you are eating it. Taste was great as always.
