Ordered a gift basket for the lady — she said they did a beautiful job! Customer service was really good once I was able to get through… although, it was not easy! Prices seem very reasonable, and I will def be using them again.

Amazing selection of imported items you cannot find anywhere else. From British Gourmet Apple and Tangerine Fruit Juices to Argentine Truffle Potato Chips and Artichoke Lemon Spreads this place is quite unique. Belgian Chocolates are also a must. We often get snacks here for our Museum Staff. Very friendly staff also which is a plus.

Interesting store — I guess its main business is creating gift baskets(see downstairs), so many of the products on offer are fun and unique foodie or NY themed items. I loved their reusable straw bag in a fun lime green color. I came thisclose to getting one as a souvenir but I held off since 2016 for me is The Year Of Don’t Buy Useless Stuff. I did pick up some fahncy schmancy chocolates for the dog sitter(reportedly given thumbs up by said chocolate eater). Staff were super friendly(I asked some questions about flavors).

Don’t understand what all the hype is about. Some reviews that I read said that it can take all day to stroll though. It took my party aprox. One hour. The Italian restaurant serves $ 29 plates of pasta. Which, is difficult for me to understand because it’s pasta. Happy hour had a great special, but once seated we were told that we cannot get the happy hour specials if we are seated in the restaurant. We needed to sit at the bar and space is limited. Opted for the grilled cheese sandwich place. Is it over priced as well, but is it worth it… absolutely. I found Eataly to be far more specialized and well worth visiting. However, the custom basket shop in CM had an excellent selection of specialty foods and makes a great gift. They will also ship them out. :)

Guess new year is also a good time for some grocery shopping! Chelsea market basket had a huge selection of honey with different flavors and origins. Got a small lavender honey bottle for my home as I just finished my last bottle. They also sell waffle cookies, tea bags, cocktail mixers and truffles. I should have also got that sake infused truffle box…

You want exotic expensive foods and gifts? Just go here! This place is great if you want crazy chocolates, licorice, tea, coffee etc that you probably can’t find in most non-specialty places. I got these crazy Kenyan coffee beans that had cool packaging. It was in this giant box with some paper figures on the box. I have never seen this coffee anywhere else. Usually coffee beans are sold in bags… I also got this gourmet licorice as a gift. It was in this fancy plastic jar. This stuff is not the cheapest obviously but they make great gifts!

While strolling through Chelsea Markets last week I came across this store and decided to see what kind of treasures I could find here. Well let me tell you — lots! It’s kinda like a higher end gift shop. A great place to pick up various products to take back home as souvenirs. They have the store laid out in sections– a gourmet food section where you can pick up unique sauces/ciders; a spa section with heavenly scented soaps and lotions and candles; a baby section with the cutest outfits decked out with a NY theme; chocolates and just so much more. Grab a basket and fill it up for a great gift! I love that you can create your own unique gift. With the of variety of products you can really be creative and no two baskets will ever be the same! Check in on Unilocal to get $ 5 off $ 20 purchase! How great is that?!

Excellent spot for picking up touristy yet not so cheap gifts for family back home. The prices are great and there are samples of cookies galore. There’s something for everyone — nice candles, aprons, posters, mugs, kusmi tea, other teas, knock knacks of all sorts.

Chelsea Market Baskets moved mountains for me today! I was in a frantic last minute rush to find a high class gift basket to be delivered by 1pm today. I needed a specific made basket and tried working with another place nearby that I had found online, to no avail. Chelsea Market Baskets had more than what I needed, local specialties, more brand name(not generic) and high quality. Their website was is easy to navigate, has clear specific details of all the baskets and quite a variety(again, loved the local flair). Tarsa at Chelsea Market Baskets came to my aid. She helped me navigate the website to find a gluten free basket and then we modified it to be tailored to exactly what I needed. I probably called her back and had more questions than most, but she answered them every time with top notch customer service. I was sure by like the 5th call to confirm the card and that was ready to go she would have lost her patience with me… but no, she took care of it. We did have to schedule a separate messenger service to assure a 1:30pm arrival, but they still were more than willing to work with our schedule. Thank you Chelsea Market Baskets, we will be using you again very soon!

I’m really upset… Placed an order at 9am and was told same day delivery if it is done before 1pm. Never got the confirmation email. Asked that it be done expedited. Its 3:33 and its still not at its destination. For special requests I put deliver before 3:30. Whats the point of paying so much for a courier if it does not get to where it needs to be on time. The customer service here is great called and got updates and received a call back as requests. however there is no way to track the item and know when it has reached its destination. The guy even called me back once it was delivered to let me know that it was done. I think for the price the in store service is great but the delivery service and coordination — not so much. They charge so much and couldn’t even get the order right — honestly — disappointed! They forgot the tea– this is a get well basket specifically for being sick how do you forget one of the base ingredients. Refund was $ 3 for the tea– really that’s all? I’ve spent more time on the phone calling to follow up throughout the day than anything else. They substituted the James White Organic Apple and Crushed Ginger juice for rasberry — granted they claim it says substitutions will happen in a disclaimer on the email confirmation which i never got — but the whole point of a get well basket is to have things that will fight colds like ginger and lemon and tea. Finally got the email resent to me now along with my supposed refund post delivery post mess-up!

There were SO many little candy treats. If you’re looking for one of those ‘hard to find’ treats, stop in here. I found some candies that I fell in love with in London but hadn’t been able to find it anywhere else! They also had some Hammond’s marshmallows covered in caramel which I hadn’t found since I was livin in Colorado! Such a treat. The prices were a bit more than I wanted to pay but they were such great finds that I couldn’t pass them up. Have great affordable baskets for a build-your-own basket if you want!

The concept behind the Chelsea Market Baskets is genius. Pick a basket — there are at least a dozen to choose from. And they start as low as $ 3. Decide which goodies you want to fill your basket with… Sweet tooth? Cookies, caramels, peanut butter, chocolate bars, lemon blueberry yogurt covered shortbread balls. Uhh yeah — those are a thing — and they’re amazing. Prefer salty? Crackers, chips, seasoning salts and other rubs. Maybe savory is more your thing? Sauces galore! Chutneys, mustards, oils, etc. Ooo and let’s not forget the lavender infused syrup for cocktails. There’s a variety of bitters too. And that’s just in the front half of the store. The back half is full of gorgeous smelling lotions, lip balms and candles. As well as kids toys and accessories, NYC themed knickknacks and greeting cards. Bring up your goods to one of the(2) cashiers and you’re all set. A few notes: — Credit cards accepted! — Samples located around the store so you can try some of the treats before you purchase. — A few items I especially liked: Cheddar and Onion Pipers Potato Chips, Choc Chip & Orange Shortbread, and Relish’s Strawberry Daiquiri Jam. — I put together two nice sized baskets as Christmas gifts for about $ 40 total. This place literally has just about anything you might need to make a basket for just about anyone you know and need a basket for. Get there and get pickin’!

Great range of foods and so many gourmet items to choose from. The chocolate range is amazing and at the rear of the store is a great range of gift ideas.

I’m adding two stars from my previous review. One because the baskets I tried for days to order did finally get to their destinations. The other because of what sounded like a sincere apology from CMB.

One word: Yum! We just received one as a holiday gift from a client and the items were a great assortment. We received the Classic Sweet Crate and everyone loved it. We actaully plan on using them for our gift baskets. Great quality.

Just stopped in again, and still a very cool place. They carry lots of high end stuff, and don’t take such a bite out of your wallet.

It’s far from all about baskets here! I’ve always loved this store the most in Chelsea Market. The Belgian chocolates they sell are delicious. They also have very high quality chocolate bar that are close to their sell by date on sale at super low prices from time to time. Love their cookie brands from England and the delicious flavored potato chips along with crackers and very good cheese(always samples!) Love the bottles of specialty cider(pumpkin cider! and beers. I noticed today they have the delicious Leonidas Belgian chocolates on an anniversary sale at $ 24/pound down from $ 44/lb until October 16th!

Gift baskets for artisan foods? Okay, I’d gave it a try. The strong stench of cheese fills the air along with bread and other specialty items. Artisan foods = overpriced. Baskets appear woven handmade as it is a specialty shop for high quality items and uniquely customized for clients based on theme. Chocolates, bread, cheeses, books, tea in loose leaf form(not bags) can be selected by patrons where it shall be made into a gift basket. Patrons will not find generic mass produced items from Duane Reade or Whole Foods here. Many items are imported from abroad. There are some sample cheese breads which I sneak a bite.
