How do you sell a beer at 16oz for 6 and the same beer at 20oz is twice the amount? If this was a real franchise where necessity wasn’t greater than demand, I would write a very strong worded letter to their manager about how they are fucking idiots

Pretty good and very cheap. I stopped for a quick bite pre-subway for a coffee and decided to splurge on a grilled cheese with strawberries and Brie. The iced cappuccino was super yummy and the sandwich was alright. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place, but it’s good if you’re in a rush.

Stay away from this place. There is a crazy disgruntled Manager who works here name Natalia. This place is self-serve coffee and i accidently spilled a little coffee on the counter and there weren’t any napkins to clean up the coffee that I spilled so I started to walk away because there were people behind me who wanted to get their coffee as well. All of a sudden Natalie starts yelling at me like a crazy woman because i spilled a little coffee and she follows me out of the place insulting me and calling me dirty. I walk back and ask if they have a manager I can speak to and it turns that NATALIE is the manager. I also saw a look of compassion and pity from the other people who work there and I can tell i am not her first and last victim. She then comes back and starts yelling at me to get out the store creating a huge scene in front of the other costumers. I have never been treated like that by another employee ever. BEWAREOFTHISWOMAN!

Slow service at this deli. Got a tri tip sandwich and the two workers behind the counter ere running around in the back, taking orders and working the cashier and making the sandwiches. And then there was some really unsatisfied customers in front waiting for their food. But yeah, my sandwich was good. Could’ve been a little bigger but the tri tip was delicious.

I wouldn’t know if the food here is good. When I went to look at the soup that appeared to be self serve a rude employee slapped down the lid, almost on my hand and said don’t touch, as if I was a child. When I told her I just wanted to see the soup, she opened up the lid, swirled the spoon nastily and said ‘here…see!’ There are many food vendors in Penn Station. I prefer to give my money to a place that employs people who make a positive contribution to humanity.

This place is pretty clutch as a commuter going through Penn Station. They have cheap omelettes and egg sandwiches, really good coffee, a badass salad bar and a really nice selection of sandwiches and salads to go. They know how to move people in here, so you’re in and out pretty quickly. Hot and crusty has a better egg-and-croissant sandwich but they’ve been inconsistent with their grill being on(at 8:30AM???) so I switched my morning spot. Ya hear that, hot and crusty? Turn your grill on. Come on.

This place needs a new manager asap! It use to be my go to spot for hot tea since they have lipton black tea and I hate the fancy herbal teas most places now offer. They use to put honey in the tea for you but recently switched to having a squeeze bottle near the creamer and sugar. One morning someone didn’t put the top on the squeeze bottle properly and it fell into my cup, splashing me with RIDICULOUSLY hot tea and honey and making a huge mess of both myself and the counter. I was lucky it was cold out and I was wearing a jacket, or I probably would have had sticky burns on my arms. The next day I went in and asked if they could put the honey in for me, explaining what had happened the day before and my desire to not be burned and covered in sticky honey for my 40 minute train ride again. One of the girls remembered me but the manager refused to allow them to put the tea in the honey. When I told her I would just take my money back and walk out if they couldn’t do that she told me to never come back and screamed at me the entire time I walked out. So like the manager instructed, I will happily never come back and urge you to do the same.

Love this spot! Awesome soup and sandwich combos. I especially love the fresh mozzarella sandwich. Yummy! The prices could be a tad lower though.

This place should be shown more love. With the glut of mediocre food offerings at Penn Station this spot is actually a little gem. It’s clean, bright, and has a ridonkulous amount of food and drinks to purchase. Including almost 25 beers on tap! I usually stop at Central Market to pick up a wrap or sandwich and drink to take on my ride out to the burbs to see my relatives. If I have extra time I’ll actually order a fresh sandwich made and take a seat in the dining area. Lots of seating and a few large flat screens usually showing the game or news. There is a ton of stuff here to choose from, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I am still amazed at the tap beer selection which is a good mix of domestics, imports, and crafts. Large coolers of canned beers buried in ice sitting up by the entrance. Grab a double sized ice cold can of Molson, Fosters, Brooklyn, or Corona to go! A boatload of snacks and chips here. Soups, pre-packaged wraps and salads, candy bars, bakery products, yogurts, drinks, sodas, coffee, tea, etc. Deli counter to have your own sandwich made to order — and they’re pretty good. Only had a few minutes before my train so I grabbed low-carb chicken wrap that was stuffed with grilled chicken, and also had tomatoes, avocado, provolone cheese, and some ranch dressing. Perfect to grab and go as it was pre-packaged, and actually pretty fresh. At $ 6.95 it was pretty much in line with most of the marginally overpriced things here at Penn. I guess you pay that extra dollar or two for convenience, but this is still one of the better spots to pick up some food before your trip.

I live in Huntington so Penn Station is a very frequent spot for me. I make it a point to buy the Manhattan Clam Chowder. It is the most AWSOME I have eaten. All of their soups are AWSOME! They will give you a free sample of whatever soup is on the menu. Another favorite of mine is the Buffalo Chicken Soup. Get a LARGE for $ 7.07 with tax along with a few bags of crackers and you have a nice little snack /meal for the train ride home… conveniently located next to STARBUCKS in the main waiting room for the LIRR, I find this spot to always be a pleasant experience!

The sandwiches are no better and no cheaper than in the rest of Penn Station. They are pre-made, but the one I had was fresh. There are some interesting combos as well as the usual fare. The one I got was called the Penn Special, which had salami, ham, provolone and sweet peppers on pumpernickel bread. It cost $ 7.25. It had a tiny schmear of pesto on it, which I guess the checkout lady knew because she offered me mustard. And I needed it. The people working there are all very nice. A guy behind the counter saw me eying the pastries and he said the chocolate chip cookies were the best I would ever eat. It looked like your typical gigantic deli cookie to me, so I said that I was trying to cut back. When I was checking out, the guy came over and put a cookie in my bag, free of charge. Now that’s a smart business move. The cookie was, in fact, no different from your typical deli cookie, but considering that there are probably 10 delis down there all selling roughly the same fare, where would I go next time I need to grab a sandwich fast? Most likely to Central Market.
