This is really the catering kitchens for the Butterfield Market up on Lexington. This little storefront is a good place to pop in for coffee and baked goods and lunch items. They make some nice salads and prepackaged sandwiches and usually offer decent tasting soup of the day. My favorite salad is the goat cheese(goat cheese, chopped beets, diced asparagus, dried cranberries, olives, almonds, and candied walnuts over mixed baby greens — the citrus vinegrette goes really nicely with this salad). Sandwiches can be hit or miss, I am not a fan of premade sammies… and the food they sell by weight at the counter just looks like it sits there. and some things are a bit pricey. Excellent iced hazelnut coffee and the cupcakes are yummy tho.

I’ve liked everything I’ve had here so far. I frequently get a salad or sandwich for lunch. It seems a little pricey but the quality is worth it and there are lots of healthy and vegetarian/vegan options. I highly recommend the iced hazelnut coffee and the special watermelon drink(seasonal I think). I wish they were open on the weekends.

Best baked goods found here in a small charming bakery. Baked fresh daily I have gone in to the shop Early AM to make sure I do not miss out on some of my favorite items before they sell out. Truly a find in Yorkville.

The best thing is the store opens early. I can always get something good/sweet for my daughter in school.

The Thanksgiving Dinner was a hit! Everyone thought it came very close to us cooking ourselves! Thank you for making our holiday a home run!

Butterfield Kitchen is my neighbor. I often go for a pretty good cup of hazelnut coffee– only $ 1.50 for a small. I love their plain frozen yogurt for $ 3.75, but toppings are $ 1, which I think is crazy! The place closes at 7pm and is only open weekdays, somewhat inconvenient and frustrating. Between the hours of 6pm and 7pm they sell whatever sandwiches and baked goods for half-price! Enjoy!

Hugely rude service on the phone when i rang to order a turkey delivery — guy sounded like I was asking for something preposterous when I’d got to the site by googling ‘turkey delivery’ then when I queried the number he grudgingly gave me to ring in the morning he mocked my Australian accent when I said was that 8285 — he said ‘whAt is ate(eight)??’ Incredulously and aggressively 3 times — like he couldn’t work out which number out of one to ten ‘ate’ might sound like. He then hung up while I was in mid sentence. It was very disappointing to be mocked and belittled on the basis of race.
