Just so you all know… this bar is now closed. Suddenly! Even took the dart board… sad to see a decent place go.

Very chill place! They’ve got a jukebox, darts, hot bartenders, and great music. Drinks are pretty cheap too! When you get hungry, grab a burger next door :)

I was sold the second I walked in and they had Buck Hunt(my absolutely favorite arcade game). Staff were nice but to be fair I was there with a regular. The bouncers were friendly which means a lot coming from a Canadian. The music was a little loud for my taste and I didn’t quite understand why girls were in stilettos but I like the effort on the part of management to have the House Rules posted next to the pool tables that way no real arguments can ensue. $ 4 pints /shots of jameson on a friday night was a good deal and I really love that NYC bars decorate for Halloween. Would definitely be a regular if I worked /studied in the area.

I’m surprised at my lack of Unilocaling about the Bull’s Head Tavern yet but here we go. Generally speaking when I am going to a concert over at the Gramercy Theatre I like to go to Duke’s Restaurant because I prefer having something to eat if I am going to drink but there have been those times when I was already full and just wanted to kill a few pints with friends. Those times we secure some space at the BHT. If you have not yet been to this bar, let me say its a good choice if all you have in mind is grabbing a few drinks. There is no food to speak of but there is a bagel store and some pizza within a five minute walking distance. I’ve seen people eating things in the bar but nothing over the top so I imagine that its their call on whether or not you can bring something in. There is a nice sized bar and that is where I convene generally or just close to the jukebox which is Internet based and lets you load up a lot of Metal and Punk. There are other options but this is my own personal preference. It’s nice to gear up for a Metal show with like minded tunes as you pregame. Towards the rear of the bar there are two pool tables and a dart area and a back section that is sort of closed off from the main area but has the means to see the outside patrons. Probably cool for those mini-private gatherings we sometimes seek. Beerwise there are a lot of selections and the usual standards that are found everywhere else. Since I need to sport a camera I usually stick with something light or a Stella Artois. The Happy Hour here is awesome as all the draft beers are $ 3 until 8pm and I am sure that there are shot specials too if you enjoy those. I am not really a shot guy but can do a Jameson(as long as you give me a pickle back with it). I have also heard that the bar keeps the Happy Hour going in some fashion depending on what type of sporting event might be happening, and that is never a bad thing if you can handle yourself. Having been there several times I can safely say that the bartenders met have been friendly and professional. Always courteous which is a plus and it makes me want to not only return but to remain longer if possible. There you go.

This place doesn’t offer food so minus a star for that. In any other way this an awesome place to go to get a cheap drink. Beers are $ 3 until 8 o’clock. The girl behind the bar is friendly and usually serves you in a timely fashion. It also got pool tables and a dart board so it’s usually worth your while.

20 draft beer choices all $ 3 @ Happy Hour. I L O V E this place. It is really just an Irish? Pub but what a pub it is. There are sit downs, pool tables in the back and even some stand alone arcade games. I’m here for the drinks and that about it and I have no shame trekking down here for cheap booze during Happy Hour. The lady bartender was cute too even though I didn’t get the friendliest vibe from her but then again I was only there for 20 minute. I’mma hollaaar. If you are a beer guy, you need to be here. Until next time…

I don’t know how I feel about this place. It’s not great but it’s not bad there either. It just is. But I always end up stopping here when I’m in the area so I guess they are doing something right. Good beer selection. They have pool tables that are usually in use. Prices are nothing special but not outrageous either. I once saw a celebrity there … so there is that.

Review is solely for Thursday nights! The live band that starts at 10pm is awesome… classic 90s jam band. Atmosphere is young and fratty, took me right back to college for the night. Drinks are reasonably priced and service is great for a busy bar.

drinks are ok. come during happy hour. beer/drafts are $ 3 and the vodkas are $ 4. the bar can be pretty loud at night. has 2 pool tables. i am a little bit tipsy writing this — as this is not my usual format. close by to baruch college — a lot of young people — great place to socialize and hangout the OKAY: — cranberry vodka — red devil EHH: Amaretto — Tasted meh — too much like cherry medicine — definitely had better before. Long Island Ice Tea Orange vodka tHE BAD: — bathroom is not clean Note: this place is more popular than Fitzgeralds takes credit card.

Bull’s Head Tavern is such a cozy bar and makes me think of it as the cool neighborhood bar where the bouncers remember you and you are always welcome. Its super laid-back and homey. I have gone here with friends and colleagues who are my age but I think its the ideal place to go with a tight group of friends to just have a good time for no reason when you have nothing else to do. There are two pool tables, weird art décor on the walls, and a small out-of-place darker back room that you’d think is for reserved parties but its not. You can have a dance party there or sit on the bench drinking after work.

I’ve been here several times since my first bad experience. I have to say, their happy hour specials are reason enough to come back here. There’s nothing about the place that screams excitement, but it’s also big enough to accommodate many groups of friends. It may not be a place to bring out of towners, but it’s definitely a place to grab a brew after work.

Loud music, pool tables, and multiple bars. What more do you need on a Saturday night?

«Shots for everyone at the first bar we find!» Enter The Bull’s Head. At first it seemed like a joke with the grungy wrestler bouncer. And $ 4 bud lights. Oh and Queen was playing when we walked in. And the medieval murals? People making out. People playing pool. People shaking it to Oasis, Miley, the Ronettes, and Bruce. Random enough for me though. We stayed til they closed :)

I am SHOCKED to see such reviews for this place. This is the only bar I have found in NYC that fits the bill for«favorite neighborhood place where you are always welcome.» Location is great. Two non-HD tvs. Always decorated for whatever holiday. Two pool tables. Weird wall murals. One dart board. Odd back room. Oh — and i can’t forget Golden Tee and Big Buck Hunter. Nothing about it makes sense. Not the décor, not even the clientele. From same-sex couples to hipsters to jersey shore kind, to frat boys. BUT I LOVETHISPLACE. My drinks are never outrageously priced. Last night bud light drafts were $ 4 — fine by NYC standards. The Thursday cover band comes with a $ 5(has it gone up? maybe) door charge but plays tons of songs and does a good job. I still remember starting a dance party by the pool tables that brought the bouncer to comment on how much fun my crew was. Another day I remember waking up next to someone I met there a few hours before. i remember being hit on by serious creepsters and some normal guys. And then there are nights I vaguely remember from Bulls Head. And I really hope I never forget how much I like this place. And make a point to go back to the old hood and visit.

$ 3 beers for happy hour(including Stella!) need I say more? Three stars, just for that. The place is really nothing to rave about — fully stocked bar, two pool tables and a little area in the back if there’s a group of you. The crowd is mostly men — a selection from bankers(older and those in their mid-20’s) and students mostly from SVA. There’s a live band on Thursday nights, I wasn’t paying attention though probably because I was a bit tispy. This place is okay, I’d come back to start the night off but I wouldn’t stay here the whole time.
