I normally don’t review bodegas/delis but I’ll make this place the exception because I am impressed. I also just really wanted upload a picture of my awesome *$ 3.50* salad. Unreal outside of Chinatown. Super affordable prices, quality meats by the pound, chicken that is actually quality chicken breast rather than«chicken breast,» and $ 2.50 base salads! I hope this place never changes. One suggestion: please update your seamless menu with more options(e.g., specific ice cream flavors and snacks like clif bars) for those of us who are truly too lazy to cook and/or are hungry at 2am in the morning.

This is the only clean bodega in the neighborhood. They have an assortment of items at reasonable prices. I ordered a sandwich the other day and wanted chips(wasn’t on seamless and called they added them to my order without a problem.) Great customer service.

Holy cow talk about amazing french fries! I’m not too crazy about their bacon but my husband will devour it without a second thought. The breakfast options are always a good choice and the pancakes are gigantic(I make 2 meals out of them). Only thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the chicken fajita panini I ordered last time. It didn’t mention being spicy anywhere in the description yet it was inedibly spicy. I took one bite and had to throw out the rest because there wasn’t any way to salvage it.

The reason I can never leave Harlem is because I’ve actually found the best bodega/deli in the city. I order here regularly, prices are cheap for the quality and taste of the food and i come here regularly the guys who work here are friendly and live right in my building so the deli has a nice community feel to it. I’ve ordered everything from here, the salads are awesome, the hot sandwiches and paninis though are where it’s at. The burgers and fries are meh, so fed go for a hot sandwich. My bfs go to is the I’m hungry and I love anything with the bacon they have here on it. I seriously would buy this bacon by the pound cuz it’s impossible to find in the market(also another reason I can never move). Also no pork here so for me this is a win all around because I can try everything on the menu. My fav local spot, I order on average five times a week from here, rarely disappointed and if I am it’s usually because my guy isn’t working the sandwiches, lol

These guys used to be the only ones in the neighborhood I trusted to call me when they’re out of stock of something in my order. Not anymore. They must have hired new management because the difference from my last order is startling. I ordered a bacon egg & cheese sandwich w home fries & toast, plain croissant, and brownie cheesecake. Took an hour, no calls, so I assumed everything was fine. My delivery arrives — it’s literally eggs & bacon on top of fries in a platter. Choco croissant. No sandwich. I call them to tell them this, he knows everything’s wrong & took HISLIBERTY with substituting items because there were no home fries & no plain ones. Then he started cussing in another language and kept me on hold for two minutes while he screamed at people in the deli — before finally begrudgingly agreeing to send an actual sandwich. Uh, okay. Why not just call me to begin with so I’d have the opportunity to order something you actually have? I never had an experience like this with them. Then get this, they took another 40 minutes to send the sandwich(‘m down the street), and left it on my door knob outside. I wish I was kidding. Never again.

I order here so routinely that they could probably make the order before I place it. The guys that are there are always cool and the food is good. Fast service too!

Every block on Broadway needs a good deli. This particular deli does not disappoint. Cheap coffee(hot or iced), hot food orders that come with a mountain of fries, healthy options, and household items for those unwilling to walk four blocks to get to the Rite-Aid. I’m not sure if this place is open 24 hours, but the two dudes who are always there are marathon champions. It gets one less star due to the lack of vegetarian hot food options outside of the(highly recommended) veggie burger. The best part? They’re on seamless.

This is the best deli in the city, hands down. Very clean, great staff, and open all night. Excellent all around. I would give 10 stars if I could.

This bodega might just be one of those businesses that actually lives up to its name. While almost all of the Unilocalers mentioned its clean, almost sterile appearance, I think there’s also something to be said about its layout & organization. In stark contrast to the bodegas we all know & love, BFD was built and organized with ease & comfort in mind. No squeezing through tiny aisles, or rounding a dark corner, or struggling to reach things over other people’s shoulders. The store is laid out nicely, with an open space in the middle & everything stocked on the walls. Sounds simple, but trust me, it makes all the difference. The floor-to-ceiling glass doors & plenty of lighting create a wonderful shopping experience. The owner(or whoever is manning the register at the time) always greets you as you enter & makes small talk while you pay. The baked goods are delicious(as my bf can verify), & the drink selection is extensive! And most importantly, the prices are fair. For the experience, ease, comfort, & selection, BFD is worth walking a couple of blocks out of your way. It would be hard to find another deli on Broadway finer than this one, that’s for sure.

Good deli for the neighborhood. Clean, well lit, and a variety of stock, from household essentials(canned food, kitty litter) to gourmet items(imported chocolate, greek yogurt). While some of the pre-made items in the deli fridge may have been sitting there a while(I had a chicken parm that was WAY past it’s sell-by date), the made to order sandwiches are always fresh and up to halal standards. And, like others said before, the staff is very friendly and personable, unlike most of the bodega attitude you encounter in this area.

I first started coming here because it was the ONLY clean looking deli in the neighborhood. Besides offering all the regular bodega stuff, they can make anything you dream of on their grill — breakfast, burgers, wraps — anything. I always have salads with chicken breast prepared for me and still cannot believe the value of all of these meals(I believe 5.50 or so). It’s unbelievable! But the best thing about the deli(besides its cleanliness) is its terrific staff. They are always the most respectful people and over the past year, I’m glad to say I’ve gotten to know them a bit while visiting. I’m moving in a week and know it’ll be impossible to find such a welcoming community at my new local deli. If you’re new to the city like I was when I first discovered this place, they’ll help put you at ease that there are indeed lots of nice people in this busy city. And, yes, they do deliver too!

Absolutely FANTASIC! This deli is extremely clean, very organized, and the staff is amazingly helpful! It’s a Muslim deli, so if you’re looking for pork anything go elsewhere. Their sandwiches are amazing and all the ingredients are always so fresh! I eat here at least 3 times a week, and their prices are so affordable(hero is 5.50 with a free soda). if you are ever in the area, definitely give them your business, you won’t be sorry! I promise :)

Love this place! Just opened up next door. Really clean and well organized, and open 24 hours(or close to it, I’m not sure). I’ve already gotten a great deli sandwich there and been down for a 1 am drunk black and white cookie run. The owner is usually there and is super friendly. Note: They don’t sell alcohol, go down the street for Nadal 2 for that. They have pretty much everything else though, including your standard assortment of groceries and dry goods. Edit: Yup, they’re open 24 hours! And they have a menu for catering/delivery. ‘Nother Edit: NOPORKPRODUCTS just FYI. My bacon craving friend was displeased. Still my favorite deli by far, they’re the best.
