It was decent for the area, better than no deli. I’ve gotten sick from their food twice, nothing serious but something my stomach just ejected right away. Running to the bathroom during lunch at work. Being one who can eat almost anything, I never get sick from food, so it was definitely something from their buffet. Which doesn’t give the impression of cleanliness, to be honest. Canned and packaged products may be the better bet, but they are nearly(or are) twice as expensive as they could be bought elsewhere. The beverage selection is decent, but with such prices and a fairly unappealing menu and food items, it doesn’t give much of an incentive to come here.

I’ve never had such a difficult time ordering a chicken wrap($ 1 extra for the wrap, 50 cents more for lettuce and tomato… eh?). The chicken was so cold that I had to wait a while to eat it and it wasn’t delicious. Never again.

It’s a korean deli, which means they have bibimbap. Hooray! There’s 7 different types of vegetables with beef and an egg on top of rice. The portion is way too big to eat in one sitting, and yet I still do… :/Delicious Lunch orders: beef bibimbap. 2 packs of 6 piece sushi rolls: salmon and tuna(warmed in the microwave 15 seconds to achieve body temperature).

S##T thats what i think cannot give less than 1 star, went for breakfast and the man cooking didnt get order before right and didnt say sorry then got ours wrong too and made out it was our fault, asked for pancakes and omelette sandwich, pancakes looked ok not great but when we started to eat they tasted of burgers because it was cooked on the same hot plate we had 1 bite each and left the rest for the flys upstairs was a few not a hot day, then the omelette sandwich that came flat on a plate this also tasted of a burger so did not finish and when we went to pay the man tried to charge for the sandwich. Totally and utterly disgusting. STAYAWAY do not go near no manners and food is rubbish.

I was walking by this place yesterday, not realizing I was hungry until I looked inside and saw the hot food bar(it’s pathetic how much I love that type of food). Anyway; it was about 5:15 p.m. and it turns out that they close at 6:30 p.m. & they remove the food at about 5:45 p.m. — so the selection wasn’t real extensive, but it was certainly sufficient. Also, it all looked clean and fresh. The price was the usual costly $ 7.99/pound and everything tasted good. The woman at the cash register was *very* pleasant, plus she readily gave me tap water when I requested it(instead of what I’ve encountered at many deli food bar places, where they either refuse to give tap water or else they get visibly annoyed about it). I had lots of time to kill before attending an event, so I sat in their upstairs seating area while eating. It’s a decent size and it overlooks the first floor. The floors on both levels are very well-worn, but the more important aspect was the cleanliness — and related to that, I watched one of the workers carefully clean the meat(?)-cutting machine. Also, he wore gloves while cutting some food items before that.

Great fresh food at decent prices for NYC. Yesterday I had a terrible egg and bacon breakfast for $ 20 elsewhere. Today I had a hard boiled egg, tons of fresh berries, Greek yogurt and avocado for under $ 10. And good coffee.

Super friendly staff, fresh food, extensive hot bar. I like it almost as much as Bread & Butter. I highly recommend going here.

I just grabbed lunch from this deli and walked out feeling very frustrated. It is ridiculous that they would charge 2 dollars extra for lettuce and tomato in a sandwich without even specifying it– that’s a scam! I don’t think I’ll be visiting this deli again. It’s really overpriced for the taste and quality anyway.

I’m a royal customer to Broadway café. I usually eat 3 times a day there. The staffs treat me as a family:). The service is excellent, the foods really fresh. The cashiers in the front of the café are the highlight of this premise. They r extremely nice friendly make you leave the store smiling. What more do u ask for? So go to b’way café!!!

I LOVE this place. I work in the building and go every morning for my iced tea and lunch. They have the best ice tea and the staff is so sweet. They know exactly what you want and the place is super clean. Very surprised from the 1 – 2 star reviews as they seem to take pride in their work and I’ve always had excellent service for the last 6 years that I’ve been coming here.

I went to Broadway Café because I couldn’t find any other place in close proximity. I was pretty disappointed with the rude staff and crudely served food. The staff simply thrwe a couple scoops of the food onto the plate, food that tastes okay but looks more like frozen food from Walmart. The presentation is horrible, if they presented it better I would have given thee 3 stars.

So I’ve ordered from this place before and it was fine, so I feel bad giving it one star… I ordered a wine, cheese & fruit plate for a client meeting today on Seamless. The order came on time, was presented nicely, and came with more than enough napkins and utensils. The cheese came on a separate platter, cut up nicely and each piece had a piece of fruit on top with a toothpick holding it in place. I expected the fruit and cheese to be separate. Whatever, it looked nice, I guess! The kicker was when I opened the cracker plate and it was mostly SALTINES!!! Like, WTH, what place serves saltines as part of a cheese and cracker platter??? Broadway Café does apparently! It said assorted crackers, but Saltines were the last thing I expected. There were a few little pita crackers in the middle, but mostly all Saltines! I’ve put together much nicer spreads myself with a few boxes of Trader Joes crackers! This was for a client meeting, so I was a little embarrassed to serve it, but didn’t have time to grab anything else To top it off, the cost was $ 8/person…kinda pricey for saltines! If you’re serving PBR’s and Natty Light to your team and feel like getting an expensive cheese plate to fit the theme, by all means order from Broadway Café. If you’re trying to impress a client, you’re better off sending someone out for fries & Big Macs!

I’ve eaten here a hundred times when I used to work in the area and it’s great. The salad bar is the cheapest in the area, the service is quick, and the ladies behind the counter are magical. They got to know my coffee order quickly and would whip it up before I could even tell them what I had ordered. The ambiance in the back of the space could be a little more welcoming and some buffet items should be avoided, but overall, this is a great place to be a regular and is cheaper than almost everything around it.

Kinda surprised at the low rating here. I think it’s fine. The morning lady who handles coffee is Flash gordon fast. Love her. And, the bi-bim-bap here for lunch is much better than Sunac(sunac’s is so sweet. gross).

I’m usually here for iced coffee in the morning on my way to work when Eataly is packed. Their coffee is okay. better than K-cups coffee at my office. Occasionally I would get a breakfast sandwich. Nothing to rave about really. It’s easy, fast, good service, and convenient. That’s what I want in the morning during rush hours.

I ordered my ramen with beef for $ 6.45 and the guy — the ONLY — guy behind the counter decides to go to the deli and make sandwiches for two other people waiting. What did I do?! I walked out! I’m sorry, I know for SURE I can get off the chain ramen in Chinatown and well… this place can’t compete. Try paying attention to ALL of your customers next time.
