If I could give half of a star I would. I came here with family on a Saturday night right before our show on Broadway and we waited 2 hours and did not receive ANYFOOD !! The restaurant was busy but that is no excuse! The waiter kept saying the food would be out in 10 minutes and then he tried to blame us for not ordering when he told us to. He continuously said he kitchen was backed up, but again NOEXCUSE. Many of the tables around us came in and left because of he ridiculous wait time for food. After being in the restaurant for 2 hours we had drinks and bread and then the manager offered to take 15% off of our bill. By that time we couldn’t even wait for the food(which the chef said would take another 20 minutes), we had to leave for our 8pm show. This restaurant needs to find a better way to service its guests on busy nights. There are dozens of other eateries and restaurants on this block and patrons can easily choose someplace else to dine. A busy night doesn’t mean guests should have to wait over 2 hours for dinner after being seated. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you have 2 – 3 hours to spend of your Saturday night being hungry and lied to!!!

I don’t know if it was because they were busy, but their service was pretty bad. I had to ask them to take my order because they sat me down and forgot about me. The guy who brought my food would just drop it on the table like if I were a dog getting his food. There was a very well dressed lady, I assume the manager, who was very attentive but the service was slow and inattentive. Food was okay, but after the service, I will not be returning…

Fantastic food! We stumbled upon this place off times square just looking for a place without a wait. We had an 8 o clock show and had already been to two places closer to times square with a 30 – 40 minute wait and it was already 6:45. This place was busy but sat us IMMEDIATELY, it was spacious and had a very nice atmosphere which is half of the experience in NYC. Great service and we made it on time for our show with time to spare. I had the skirt steak which was cooked in a delicious marinade, a side of mashed potatoes, and the fried yucca added a perfect variety of texture and taste was with the steak. I bet that everything on this menu would be great from the 3 things me and my wife and brother ordered. Fantastic steak and a great dining experience! I highly recommend this place if you are close to times square.

Decent food, especially if you like meat. I’m an ignorant gringo on a business trip. Bar service was above average. Friendly staff. Live music was painful at first but then got better as they settled in. Price seemed a little steep but then again it’s NYC. The fried banana was really yummy.

Pretty terrible. The steak was thin, tough, and fatty. The service was slow. They got the order wrong then over charged us. They had no hesitation to include a 20% gratuity at the end.

The food is ok. The waiter is nice. Maybe it should be 3.5 stars instead of 3. — Ceviche de Camarao: The shrimp ceviche is ok. Usually ceviche has raw seafood, but the shrimp here is fully cooked. Even though there’s shrimp, mango slices, and greens in the same bowl, the ingredients don’t blend too well together. — Picanha na Chapa: The steak tastes ok. It comes with a sizzling pan. The steak is thin. I ordered medium well. But I should have ordered medium as the heat from the sizzling pan cooks the meat as well. — Yucca Ring: It is probably the best dish here. It is mashed yucca fried in a shape of ring. — Red Sangria: The sangria is not fruity enough. I guess that is a good thing when you order wine/alcohol? I only see a small cube of orange there and more than 10 ice cubes. — Camarao no Coco: The shrimps are soaked in coconut milk and put in a coconut shell. The shrimps are fresh. They taste good by themselves or even more tasty with rice.

Me and the Mrs. decided to check out this place on a Friday evening. There was no wait at 7:15 pm and we instantly got outside seating at this restaurant. One of the driving factors was their $ 6 happy hour drinks which included Caipirinha! After being seated, we were told that drinks ordered at the table are full price, but at the bar they are for $ 6. 1 star goes away for that. Never have I heard such a ridiculous thing! Anyways, we moved on and still ordered our drinks. I had a Brazilian beer which was okay. We ordered an appetizer. Camarão Alho e Oléo. the description looked amazing. Sautéed shrimps with garlic in a white wine lemon sauce… the dish seriously lacked garlic and if you don’t like seafood with a lot of «fishy» taste, do not get this! It was not worth the $ 16 price tag at all. For main course we ordered the Moqueca de Peixe. while this certainly overpriced at $ 25, the dish lives up to its description. White fish sautéed, peppers, onions, tomatoes, fish broth, coconut milk and palm oil finished, cilantro, served over pirão, rice, beans. we shared this dish and it’s a decent portion. This dish in itself receives 2 stars and was indeed the star and savior of our evening! As for the service, no complaints here. Friendly staff, warm and welcoming. We were not too happy about the 15% gratuity that they added on a party of 2… but that’s fine. sometimes it works in your favor. we were going to go for 18% ;-)

I’ve been to this place three times and I must admit that it is quite lovely. The first time, I sat outside in the patio and it was a wonderful experience. The next time that I came for dinner, I sat inside because it was during the winter and I must say that the caipirinha that I had that night was terrible. Yes, of course, I can’t expect it to taste like they do in Brazil but perhaps the bartender that night was not the best. The food at this place, however, is fantastic. My favorite is the grilled chicken because it’s so flavorful. The fried yuca is also a must and my brother claims that the steak was great. The prices are moderate for the area that it is in and the location is convenient. I will be back here again.

Excellent authentic Brazilian restaurant just blocks from time square. If I didn’t know better just sitting on the patio of the restaurant you’d think you where in Brazil. All the staff where from Brazil and spoke with thick, beautiful accents. The service was great everyone was very friendly. I ordered the chicken Coco cabana. Which was basically chicken and mashed potatoes with a mushroom gravy. It came with black beans and rice. I also tried the fried banana. Everything was wonderful.

I stopped by during the week since I had purchased a groupon deal. Tried to make reservations but no one answered the phone either way didn’t look like we needed it since when we arrived we were seated right away. Walking in bar area was packed but the side by the dinning room was good. Once seated we decide to go with the Sauvignon Blanc for our wine choice, nice wine good taste. On the appetizer our deal allowed for one we got the Tapas Appetizers this was Fried Chicken it was good Shrimp in garlic & oil this was pretty bland & The Chicken Pastry, good nice taste but the chicken was a bit dry. This dish sounded good when we picked it didn’t realize it was so small whoa good thing we also got the Linguica Frita com Mandioca this is Crispy yucca fries and brazilian sausage served with malagueta mayo this dish saved the appetizers good yuca fries nice tasting mayo the Brazilian sausage wasn’t bad but a bit over cooked. Main meal I decide to go with the Churrasco Misto Mainly because it was mixed meats, this had beef, chicken and sausage, good steak well cooked juice, delicious sausage chicken was ok again kinda dry this came with white rice & beans it was good. My friend had the Paella plenty of seafood & rice here good size dish. We had finished our wine & decide to try some Brazilian Beer we had the Palma Louca, nice really liked this beer great taste. Dessert time came we tried the Cheese Cake, really good & The Brazilian Flan this was ok didn’t really taste anything different guess I expected something better. Nice place good atmosphere, our waiter was pretty nice & attentive prices aside from having the deal are moderate. When it came time to pay we know that u tip on the value of the whole meal of course, we were surprised to see a «suggested tip amount» written down on the bill this was I don’t know kinda uncomfortable only because the«suggested tip» was more than it should be I mean listen we had a good meal & tipped accordingly they should not make suggestions way to forward tipping is earned due to good service. Aside from this little mishap, We enjoyed our meal.

The food was excellent. The service was good as well. The restaurant overall was pretty clean, no complaints in that department. The size is sufficient enough for large groups. The bathrooms were clean. My only complaint is when we used our GROUPON we were charged the NY state taxes on the on our bill. And the suggested tip was based on what the food cost not the price of the Groupon.

It is not guaranteed that when you try an ethnic food restaurant that you will like it, specially because the spices, seasoning, textures might be totally different from what you are used to. Figure trying to compare Tony Roma’s to an Ethiopian restaurant. Thus take this review with a grain of salt. I was born in Brazil, grew up with all the flavors and spices typical of Brazilian dishes, thus I will rate Brazilian restaurants under a local«eye». That is why I gave Brazil Brazil a 5 star rating. The food was very close to what I had in Brazil for many years. In summary, it was very good, brought back good memories! We had the Moqueca de Peixe, Bobó de Camarão and Picanha(fish stew, shrimp in a creamy sauce and steak). Highly recommended. We also had appetizers(fried calamari and Brazilian sausage), and Brigadeiro(chocolate balls) and Pudim de Leite(flan) for desert. Also all were very good. Service was very friendly and attentive, I was pleased. A band was playing Brazilian music, very nice. In conclusion: if you are ready to taste interesting flavors and new twists to traditional recipes then by all means try Brazil Brazil… you will like it. Recommended!

Never had Brazilian food before but this place was a hit! Frankly, I was hesitant to try anything on the menu because the cardinal rule is if you can’t pronounce it, don’t order it and there was barely anything that I could pronounce on the menu. Coming in at about maybe 12:30am, it was one of the few places open and they graciously had us come in for a meal. Our waiter was incredible helpful in our decisions for food. He recommended specials and popular local favorites, asked what we are in the mood for(pork, red meats, fish, soups, etc) and had us decide from there. I’m not entirely sure what we ate but it was all delicious beyond compare! All the meats were succulent and seasoned to perfection, the shrimp dish was had was topped in a sauce that was sweet and savory, and some of the most incredible calamari you’ll ever eat. Between service and food, I’m not sure what was better, but its definitely a place to check out if you’re on restaurant row or any where near the Theatre District.

My appointment failed to show and i was in the area and stopped for lunch. I got the fixed price meal-the garden salad, pasta primavera and the beef burguionone. Coconut flan for dessert with coffee. An excellent meal. Would recommend and return
