I just came in with a friend of mine. We were walkin in the area and decided to come in, attracted even by the good music. We started drinkin 2 dangerous lemonade, very very good, loved them. The place is very cool, cool people workin in here, very very friendly staff, we liked that very much. The place is well furnished, with a warm industrial style. The guy who served us was Charlie the black slim tall guy. He’s sooo funny and friendly, always smiling and very professional, he suggested us sm stuff 2 try, it was a pleasure. They make very good burgers too, we saw sm of them comin out from kitchen, they looked soo tasty. We will def come bk here, we had good drinks, good service and good music. Next try the burgers will be our target

The bae and I went to Brannon’s on a Sunday night around 830. The interior is gorgeous — all wood and brick, nice and clean. It was fairly dead at the time with only two other tables occupied, each with four people, one of which who already had their food, and the other had already ordered. We promptly ordered the calamari app($ 8), and put in our dinner orders: I got the fried chicken($ 19), and the woman got the regular burger($ 14). And we proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait some more. We proceeded to sit there for a half an hour(28 minutes to be exact) before the appetizer came out. Not once did the waitress come by to refill our waters, even. We finally spoke up and complained and got an aloof, «that’s how long it takes!» When the calamari finally came we were so hungry that the standard fried, frozen garbage would have sufficed… which their calamari was only marginally better than. It was alright, serviced with a tangy cocktail sauce, but the portion was small and took far too long to have justified the prep time. We then waited another 20 minutes for our entrees. When the food finally came, it was great. The fried chicken was some of the best I had, but the portion was small(three small pieces with a small helping of mashed potatoes and veggies). The woman’s burger was awesome. All in all, it was a very, very disappointing experience. The great food didn’t make up for all the negatives. Our service was absolutely awful and the time we had to wait for food was outrageous, especially when you consider we were the only table with orders in. Yes it was a Sunday night, but if you’re trying to swing your joint as a slightly-upscale place, there’s a certain burden of quality you have to maintain at all times. I would absolutely avoid this place for the time being. They need faster and more professional, attentive service before it’s worth your time and money, despite how good their food is. There’s plenty of other places in the area that will deliver what you expect.

I’m disappointed with this restaurant. Unilocal usually don’t deceive me but how does this place get 4 Unilocal stars? The food is mediocre. Had the amazing fried chicken and I really like to ask the chef what’s so amazing about it? Also, ordered a pitcher of sangria which was contained of mostly ice so we ask them to give us less ice for the second pitcher and we received a half pitcher. We asked our waitress nicely why it wasn’t filled and they said we would need to pay for another pitcher if we want it filled. LIKEAREYOUSERIOUS??? YUPNEVERGOINGBACKTOTHISJOINT. Not even if you gave me free food!

I recently visited Brannon’s when some friends were visiting from out of town. The original plan was Thai food at Pok Pok Phat Thai, but that place was tiny. Plan B was Brannon’s, an inviting, woody space with exposed brick, wrought iron details, and comfort foods. Lucky us – we had the whole restaurant to ourselves! A lot of classic Southern style comfort foods are not the most vegetarian friendly. I mean, even the hush puppies here had bacon in them. That said, Brannon’s delicious cocktails more made up for the somewhat small selection of vegetarian options. The Bianco Cobbler($ 12), which had blackberries, sage leaves, and lemon juice. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys elderflower liqueur. It had similar floral aromas and flavors. What a lovely color too. Where There’s Smoke($ 13) was my next cocktail. I recently fell in love with cayenne pepper in cocktails and have been looking forward to trying more spicy cocktails. At Brannon’s, they are not messing around with the heat. Where There’s Smoke was much spicier than I expected and quite addictive. I ordered the Penne Zitoni($ 16). Hen of the woods mushrooms, zucchini, truffle butter, arugula, parimigiano. The pasta was a nice al dente, and I’m a fan of truffle butter. I enjoyed the combination of mushrooms and zucchini, but I would have preferred a better balance of veggies and pasta. I do love my carbs, but the mushrooms should to be the star of the show. Overall, a decent pasta dish and enough food for 2 small meals. For me, the food was just 3 stars. Other people at the table also agreed that the food was average. The cocktails were the real wow moments at Brannon’s.

I went here the other weekend for dinner. When we arrived the place was empty and we were seated right away. Our waiter was pretty good throughout the whole meal with prompt service, being friendly, providing suggestions. I wasn’t wowed by anything I ate, besides dessert but it wasnt bad either. To start we ordered the BLT Bruschetta, it was alright. If you l really like bacon and bruchetta this might be your thing, I’m more of a classic bruchetta girl. For dinner my friend ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the penne zitoni. Both were good. The penne was creamy and tasty. I didn’t try my friends because I don’t eat shell fish, but she said it was good. Dessert we ordered the molten chocolate cake. This was good. It was tiny, so the perfect amount for my friend and I as we just wanted a few bites of something sweet. It was rich and moist and delicious. This is the kicker, my friend litterally had the fork still in her hand when he took the dessert plate away and brought the check. It was very bizzar, he ended up apologizing when he brought the check back, so I’m not writting the place off. However my friend was holding the fork and there was still food on the plate… normally you ask are you done with this, before you take the plate away. It left a bad impressions for this place.

This is a cute little restaurant in Lower East Side ideal for dates. I came with a large group of 20 for a birthday celebration. We booked ahead of time and Brannon’s was lenient with late comers. I was upset however to find out that they were out of 1) Hush Puppies 2) Chatham Cod 3) Brannon’s Amazing Fried Chicken 4) Steak Frites !!! This restaurant is not that spacious and we took up the majority of the restaurant. If they knew a large party was coming, shouldn’t they have warned us ahead of time. The majority of us were disappointed so we ordered the other items on the menu. I’m giving this restaurant 4 stars because their food really is delicious and I really dig the atmosphere but I have to say I was very disappointed that they were out of all the main proteins on the menu.

Went on a rainy Friday night with a group of 6. Surprisingly, it was not that busy. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We never felt rushed to finish our meal either! They even gave us a dessert on the house at the end! The setting is very romantic with dim lighting and candles. I ordered the shrimp and grits and wow. I’ve never tasted fresh shrimp before! It was super succulent and tender! The portion is light but in a way just right. Must try! Definitely a hidden gem like other Unilocalers have mentioned. Overall, my friends and I had a great time!

This place is a hidden gem. I have had the pleasure of having both brunch and dinner here. For brunch, we stumbled onto this place after Essex had a ridiculous wait. And boy did we luck out with Brannon’s. The place is visually one of the most beautiful restaurant/bars I have been too. The aesthetic is reclaimed wood with a classic vibe. We had the standard brunch drinks mimosas and bloody marys, but I asked the bartender for a espresso martini, he made one fresh from the espresso machine and it still ranks in the top espresso martinis I have had ever. The food and service were outstanding. For dinner, we cam here after walking around all day. We chose Brannon’s because we wanted to try their dinner menu. Again, the drinks were amazing and crafted with care. Get the fried Chicken, it is amazing. All the food was excellent and my only regret was that we were stuffed and unable to try the bread pudding. All in all, the drinks are top notch and the food is out of this world. Add this to the atmosphere and look of this place and you can be sure to have an excellent experience.

The drinks that Brannon’s serve are quite delicious, particularly the bianco cobbler. It wasn’t too sweet and the sage made it slightly tart. Where there’s smoke is an interesting drink that is quite spicy. The waitress who served our meal was very friendly attentive. The only downsides to the meal was that the food took a while to be served and the portion for the fried chicken is not particularly large.

Came in on a Saturday night for dinner with friends and was SO pleasantly surprised. The place was lively but service was great. Our waiter was super attentive, recommended some great drinks– the bramble is to die for! and generally he was just really friendly and fun to chat with. The ambiance is right up my alley– wooded interior, lots of candles with a rustic feel. The food is delicious, American fare and the desserts are out of this world. Really glad to see such a delicious, fun spot open up in the LES!

It was well worth the wait for Brannon’s to open; it hits all the right spots; delicious American food, great drinks, brand new, beautiful space and décor, impeccable service, and easy to get to location in lower east side(close to subway). My friends and I ordered the calamari and BLT bruschetta appetizers, and the fried chicken, pork chop and penne entrees. All were cooked to perfection. And be sure you save room for dessert; the bread pudding is outstanding! Great overall experience, and looking forward to my next visit.

Got the Brannon’s fried chicken and it was great! Super delicious. Everything on the plate was delicious. The kale was good but a little too salty for my taste. I don’t know what they put in the sauce, but its like liquid crack. My friend ordered Bramble Dance, which to my perfectly refined palate tasted like grapefruit. The ambiance and décor is nice. It has wooden panels, lighting is dim. Let me explain why I am giving this place a 2 star rating. I can not recommend this place to a friend simply for one reason, the service. It was just sub par. The food took a ridiculous amount of time to come out. The waitress was checking up on us every few minutes, and when we did finish our meal we were promptly rushed out. The place was only about ½ full and there were plenty of open tables without anyone waiting for one.

Brannon’s has a pretty nice vibe, it’s woody and dim with wrought iron chandeliers, like the inside of a fancy barn. The cocktail menu looks pretty fancy — a lot of interesting fresh fruit flavor/combinations. I got a Bramble Dance — a berry/gin/rose/pepper concoction that my less-discerning friend dismissed as «grapefruit juice». What turned me off about this place was the service. The food took way too long to come, the server came to our table possibly a total of six times to «check-in» even though it wasn’t busy and there was no need to drive us out. I don’t need a helicopter mom while I’m eating, thanks.

I have been having a tough time figuring out how to rate this place as there were big positives and big negatives. I’ll start with the positives. I came with my boyfriend on a Friday night around 730 and there was no wait. In fact, the restaurant never filled up. We weren’t cramped and didn’t have to yell to hear each other – how often does that happen in les? The food was tasty but closer to 3 stars. As far as appetizers, the hush puppies were dry and the BLT bruschetta was too saucy(both had good flavor profiles however). I ordered the shrimp and grits for dinner with a side of Brussel sprouts. The entrée again was too saucy but the Brussel sprouts were awesome. My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken and it was cooked perfectly. The puréed cauliflower was great too. As far as negatives, there was one server for the whole place and needless to say it was off. We had to flag our server down to order drinks, order food and get our bill. As I mentioned above, some of the food was lacking too. I gave this place 3 stars in the hopes that these mistakes are because it’s a new restaurant and will soon get in the groove of the right number of servers and not over saucing their dishes – maybe next visit it will become a 4 star place.

Glad this new spot is in my hood now! Brannon’s has one of those menus where you want to eat every single dish on it. We finally narrowed it down to the bacon cheddar hush puppies with pear maple glaze, fluke crudo, a fennel goat cheese mesclun salad, and a burger. All delicious. The cocktails were even better! My bourbon fruit smash was equally as good as my boyfriend’s bramble dance. This will become a regular spot, so we can try all of the other food and drinks on the menu.

As soon as I saw the bottle of Fortaleza tequila with its signature blue agave top, I knew I was going to love this place. A great, cozy pub on the Lower East Side that’s both a great place for drinks with friends or dinner with the family is a rare gem. Mike the Bartender is the coolest, friendliest guy in NYC. The«B» Burger with shiitake mushrooms, Parmigiano, crispy shallots, red mustard greens, and JL remoulade on a sesame seed Brioche with rosemary frites was delicious! And it’s literally right across the street from the Delancey St/Essex St stop, so it’s super easy to find. I’m going to be making plenty of pit stops here on the way home to Brooklyn.

Friendly service. Great food. Extremely reasonable prices Very glad to have Brannon’s in the neighborhood and it will definitely become a go to spot. Great for a date but I would recommend coming come with a few friends so that you can try as much as possible. The BLT bruschetta, fried chicken and macaroni and cheese with bacon special were so good we cleaned our plates. Other appetizers and entrees that our neighbors were eating smelled so good I was tempted to steal some! Service was great and the specialty drinks were also great(plus 6 dollar beers and only 4 during happy hour). Entrees around 20 and apps below 10 make this a very affordable NYC option. Plus it’s delicious. So win win.

YUM! If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy gastropub with fairly priced cuisine… this is the spot. The atmosphere reminds me of a ski lodge in the poconos– really warm and homey. Drinks were on point and food was awesome! I recommend the BLT Bruschetta and hushpuppes to start. For dinner, get the lamburger– served with a little spicy aioli and rosemary fries. My friend had the shrimp and grits, which was awesome too. Overall– comfort food done really well. Nothing was too heavy or greasy, but still rich in flavor.
