A few hours ago(Saturday night), I stopped by this bar. I can easily buy beer from a 7-Eleven or my local bodega for a very cheap price. However, I go to bars for the experience– checking out hot female bartenders, listening to my favorite songs, and watching baseball and basketball games on large TVs. I’m one of those millenials who still live with their parents and I don’t like staying home and watching silly YouTube videos. I bought this big ass Bud Light for $ 6. I’m not sure what the exact size was since I’m not a bar hopping connoisseur, but it was at least 32 ounces. There were soccer and tennis matches on the TVs, but that’s as interesting as the WNBA. There was also a UFC fight. It was actually a good match, but besides Ronda Rousey, I really don’t know much about the UFC. On the main TV was a Mets game. I’m a Yankees fan, but just to pass the time, I watched the game. Of course, the Mets lost to the last place Atlanta Braves thanks to a Wilmer Flores baserunning gaffe. In the back of the bar was beer pong. I really liked the songs that they were playing, including this old school Biggie Smalls single. Some white girls were dancing and although they couldn’t dance, they were attractive. The bar was crowded, but it’s nowhere near as crowded as the other bars on Amsterdam Avenue. They don’t serve food here, but the surrounding area is inundated with restaurants, Chinese take outs, and pizzerias. I would come back here if there was a game(that I actually want to see) on.

I came here on a Saturday night with a large group of people, and had a great time!!! We enjoyed a nice of cheap beers, dancing and friends. They had 3 $ large(very large) bud light !! The bartenders were very attentive and efficient on serving the crowded bar. They music was very fun and the dance floor was plenty big!

I’ve only been here once and I know bar experiences can vary based on the night and other factors, but we had a blast here on a Friday night. Live music, not too crowded, space to dance, and cheap pitchers, what more could you ask for?! Will definitely be back here. The perfect vibe for a weekend night.

PERFECTHAPPYHOURSPOT Had a really great experience here last night. All good: Went in for food; disappointed they had no kitchen. BUT we stuck around and the new bartender suggested we order in, so we did so – he even joined our order and we all enjoyed excellent Chinese food from The Cottage. Happy Hour prices are very good, all the way to 8 o’clock. Great pours, attentive service. This is not a craft-cocktail place, more of a well drinks and beer, but the barkeep made extra effort to get my friend the drink he wanted. Thanks, man. It’s friendly — not just the bartender. Two cool guys, one older, were hanging out. Turns out the older gent is a regular and former Air Force vet from WWII, and a laugh fest. Great stories; look for his pic on the gallery. We had lots of laughs, a couple of pretty young ladies joined in, and even had some meaningful conversation. So, to barkeep Taylor, Richard and John, Jessica, Emily, my buddy Frank, and the patient staff at Cottage who took my phone order: Thanks, and hope to see you again soon!

I’ve been here twice, the first time it was a solid 2 stars the second time it was a solid four. So i rounded it out to three stars. The bartenders are hit or miss and so is the music. My girls and I found it to be just a bar that filled an empty slot on the block. As for the service it is lacking. This bar isn’t super busy, so you would think the bartenders could smile a little for their tips, or even engage in a little conversation. But on our second visit it was a major turn around. The bartenders were engaging and the drinks were good. We even scored a box of cookies from a nearby patron. Would I be back? It depends… If it’s the red head female bartender, probably not. As for the guy bartender with short black hair who hooked us up with the cookies, probably will.

Hard to say much about the bar overall as my first interaction was with the very rude bald daytime bartender. Killed my entire mood so decided to leave. I did mention to him that the negative reviews about his attitude on Unilocal were justified after my friend arrived and told me. Didn’t seem to matter to him. Regretted not checking Unilocal before going. Never again.

Easily the best bar in Manhattan and probably one of the top five bars in North America. Bourbon NYC has it all: cold drinks, great prices, pretty women, skeeball, and an excellent bar menu. Everyone who visits this place falls in love with it instantly. On days that I don’t go to Bourbon, my biggest regret is not having gone to Bourbon. On days that I do go, my biggest regret is that I didn’t stay longer. For all your tourists out there, this is an NYC can’t-miss!

Decent prices, and just a run-of-the-mill«bro bar» that’s good if you’re in the neighborhood already. Nothing to go our of your way for, but not a bad spot to chill and pre-game before you head over to a better spot. Beer pong is really unsanitary, or at least looks like it. I’d steer clear unless you want a side of floor, hair, dirt, and several people’s saliva mixed into your beer.

Great place to watch fights, good service and okay prices(not on fight night, though). They have bras hanging off the ceiling/walls for no real reason and the ambiance is not at all NOLA, so if you’re looking for that, go elsewhere. Still a solid dive bar. Small space, which can get very crowded. Also, the entrance has saloon-type doors, which I feel would make the bar very cold in the winter.

Well if you are looking for a bar in Manhattan with zero character you have found the right place. The bartender can’t even smile when you tip him. There is not one good reason to go to this bar. There is no food and the bartender could care less if you had a drink. Don’t bother

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and they didn’t have 2 of the beers that we wanted. They also ran out of some of their bourbons too. We ended up ordering 2 Jamesons on the rock, which cost us nearly $ 30. This place is anything but a single $. I’d rate it at least $$, if not $$$. The bartender was less than friendly.

The place that tries, but doesn’t quite succeed in bringing New Orleans to New York. The thing you’ll notice as you walk in, is the overwhelming presence of bra’s and beads as part of the décor. The drinks are ok, and the crowd tends to be mixed, but on the preppier side. My one gripe with it is that it’s feels very cramped. Fine for a stop over on a bar hop, but not a place I’d stay for more than one drink.

It’s a dive bar with all the fixin’s. Basic amenities, no pretention, games, average to adequate service, relatively inexpensive drinks and drunk people. I had a great time here with friends but as I think about it by itself, it’s a pretty standard joint, among similar bar experiences. Worth checking out if you are in the hood… there are several other options though around. But not a bad choice if you happen to be in the UWS.

E-Scale: 3⁄10 Dive bar that is suppose to be New Orleans-esque. Honestly, there’s really nothing NOLA about this place except all the signs on the walls. Bartender Mitch is very nice and friendly, but not too imposing(aka: you can have a conversation with your friends and he won’t butt in). There’s another guy there(Niall) who will talk you ear off if you try to converse with him. Then there are the occasional homeless guys who want to come in because of the bus stop that’s right outside. Always entertaining… but also sort of sad. Overall, just your lower-end run of the mill NYC dive bar. With NOLA paraphernalia on the wall.
