One should be so lucky to find a Unilocal review about a place that you would normally walk right by and not think twice about. I was in the area and wanted to buy some fresh fish, but was undecided btwn this place and the one next door called The Hai Sen Co. To my amazement, it was actually on Unilocal, thanks to none other than Alex S. I ended up getting some sea bass for ten bucks a pound which was a sheer delight to both eat and cook. Alex S, your attention to the unsung heroes is what exemplifies you as a super elite Unilocaler, even though I hate you for having more reviews than me… for now =)

Bor Kee(pronounced Boh Gay), seems like just a regular Chinese seafood market, but this place has always exceeded my expectations for fish variety and superior service. They’ve always been my go-to spot for fish that I couldn’t find elsewhere and it’s hard to argue the quality of their fresh products. What’s a bit strange is a cat has been spotted occasionally strolling the outside of the place. From what I know it’s not the owner’s cat and it never tries to touch any of the fish. Before you know it, photographers are snapping pics of the kitty protecting the fish(My photo is uploaded in the gallery). I think it’s a strange personal touch, but one that keeps this place unique. Management has mentioned to me their abundance of common fish(salmon, halibut, bass, etc.) and some other non-common fish(trout, etc) is a result of buying more inventory to keep people coming back. So where other places fail in running out, this place succeeds in always having something available for seafood lovers like myself.
