Such an intimate place. The waiters/waitresses are friendly. The music isn’t to loud. There food is delightful.

Even though they are closed, I’m still saddened by this fact. I fell in love with their sangria, chicken milanese & spinach a long time ago but my very last visit had to be the best. My friend & I ordered so much white sangria(I prefer it) & cheese with fresh honey that they let us keep our plates on the table close to us. The live music is very cool & although if you’re sitting by the front of the restaurant you may encounter some smoke coming in from the outside smokers, the food is just too good to move. The service was always on point & it’s so sad that I will never get to eat that milanese again.

I’m very shocked by Boom’s three star average rating because I’ve been here twice and both were very positive experiences. They are a little on the pricey side, but well worth the price for the quality of the food and experience. On my last visit, the waiter was exceptionally nice and constantly checked in on our table. The food was also excellent– I had the spaghetti with tomato sauce, which bursted with flavor in my mouth. Lastly, I like Boom because it feels a little more upscale and trendy than a typical Italian place without losing the authentic Italian place feel.

Location is great Service fine Food fine as well The spinach salad with bacon was tasty but a little too overdressed! The sangria was delicious and strong! My salmon was well seasoned but well done when I had asked for medium rare! So I guess that was a let down but nonetheless the seasoning was well done so I ate it hahaha!!! Would go back again!

Came across this place while searching for somewhere to dine before the party starts at AMNH. Wine time. We were seated next to a couple obviously on a first date. He was trying to impress her by talking about his ex. Yeah dude, that’s the way to go. God, we are such nosey people! Anyway … back to my review. The mussels were savory, the avocado bruschetta with shrimp was really good but we were disappointed with the seafood linguine. It was not half as good as its counterparts. Too bad.

Walked by this place a few weeks ago with a friend. We looked in and liked the vibe. Seemed like a bunch of folks having a good time, with some salsa music happening in the background. Looked like our kinda spot! So, my friend made a reso for a group of 5 for lunch. Place is kinda of confusing. Meaning, Spanish music, but Italian cuisine. Ordered a brunch menu item and it was good, not exceptional by any means. Had a bloody mary that was so/so. Service was slow as heck. Not a place I’d recommend or come back to, but it’s not horrible, so if you like what you see when you walk by, go ahead and go in. My review it just one. Read more below for a wholesome perspective.

Came with a Dealist for a four couse meal with wine pairings. The waitress seemed to get a bit meaner after she found out that we had a deal. Hate that shit! Why offer a deal if you’re going to be a bitch about it?! Anyway, it was overall ok. The waitress made us wait for her to print out the special dealist menu even though they had noted it in the reservation, so it should have been ready. There were also no choices with this menu, you just got what they wanted to give you. It would probably be a problem for people with allergies and things, but I was ok with it. The first course was a purée soup. It tasted like a thick, zesty, bowl of mush. The second course was a home made pappardelle with mushrooms and truffle sauce. This was actually the best thing of the night and why I gave this place three stars. If you must come here, get the home made pasta! The third course was a very thin, low quality rib eye with mushrooms. It definitely should not have been called a rib eye, but just a piece of beef. The last course was a tiramisu that was not particularly good, I would say just edible. The wine pairings were great though! The last course came with a limoncello instead of wine, but whatever. I was pretty tipsy by the end of the meal, so it wasn’t a horrible meal. Overall, I most likely would not come back willingly. The pasta was good, but you can get that at a bunch of other places in the city.

I’ve been here for dinner three times thanks to the certificates. The service is usually good and the drinks are decent. They bring out complimentary bread that’s standard, nothing special. I few 2 waitresses with deep Italian accents which I guess added to the authencity of the place, ha. I had the farfelle, seafood linguini, and lobster ravoli. All were good, though the pasta is usually undercooked here for some reason. My wife’s entrees were good as well. The crème brûlée is above average. The place is a nice size and seems to draw a good crowd. They offer live music so i’ll come back here for happy hour and hang out afterwards for an evening. Not the best Italian but a well-rounded place of food, drinks, and entertainment.

I haven’t back here for over 7 years, since C and I came here for lunch. I can’t remember what exactly we ate, since I don’t think I would ever have come here for food, if it wasn’t due to a time crunch. A and I were trying to get out of the cold and A didn’t want to travel far, so Boom appeared and we decided to come here for some drinks. A got wine, I believe and I got my fruity cocktail — Berry. I want to say this drink was absolutely delicious… fresh fruit and so damn good. A loved it too and decided we should eat here too. I told A I don’t remember this place being good for food and I rather eat somewhere else… so we did. 4 Stars is just for the BERRY drink.

My last night in NYC was spent here with a friend for dinner. We had delicious food. And lucky for us it was Brazilian night! There was live music and sexy people dancing all around us. I felt like I was in a little Brazilian club. Very beautiful men and women clientele! The only think that didn’t work for me was that after we got our food, our waiter pretty much disappeared. We had to flag down a busboy several times to help us, which was irritating. We actually tipped the busboy more than the waiter… I’d go back but not to eat on Brazilian night. Just to drink and boogie.

Keep the sangria coming! This place has it all, live music, hot women, delicious drinks and tasty food. Although we did not come to eat we did treat ourselves to the delicious white sangria. At 15 dollars a pop these could be considered lethal on more than one way. Sitting at the bar gives you the best views to just people watch. The sexy Brazilian women work themselves around the room dripping in diamonds. The men just watch them as if they are in awe. Live music is always an A+. Although I could not see where it was coming from the jazz music was amazing.

I’m not going to lie… we come here for the eye candy. The Brazilian goddesses that walk in the room, they know how to work a room. I was drinking the best white sangria in Manhattan people watching with my friends. These girls know they are the hottest women in Manhattan too. They have all the men wrapped around their curvaceous bodies! They know they can get anything they want, from shots to Christian Louboutins and dinner! YES. Sangrias are $ 15 — Totally worth it if you have a platinum AMEX to treat you. COMEHEREFORTHEEYECANDY… NOTTHEFOOD :)

Paying $ 11 for what looked and tasted like a regular 8″ cheese pizza was the low point. Basil is not an actual ingredient if two leaves of basil are added as garnish. I wanted to like Boom, and like decent foreplay, my expectations were pumped. Our starters were delish, chocolate martini and salmone bruchette. I went with what I thought was the safe choice: Bistecca(medium-rare grilled rib-eye with shitake mushroom). The mushroom and the sauce were good, but how can rib-eye meat be so thin and so dry? I sampled my friends’ dishes of lasagna and spaghetto, I’ve had better — homemade. Word of warning, although being seated next to the open window provides a great Soho view, it’s the worst seat in the house for non-smokers. I doubt I’ll be going back even with my 50% off coupon voucher.

You, a(insert any positive adj as you want) man/woman, go to Boom, an Italian restaurant in the heart of chic Soho, for either food or fashion, holding a glass of terrific wine, served by a model-look sexy waitress, surrounded by a sophisticated crowd, sharing an intimate conversation, … isn’t it a fabulous scene? I am sure Boom is not the only one where this scene can take place, but it’s def one of them in town. Feel free to be fabulous in New York City.

Food: Waaay overpriced for the quality of food or «lack of.» My girlfriend ordered the lobster ravioli which basically had no lobster, more like lobster flavored with pink sauce. I think it takes more than the color pink to identify an object as a lobster or else Juicy Couture can be a lobster market. I had the chicken pizza, which I did not even finish. To set up the scenario, I eat ANY pizza, it’s my favorite food. I don’t even complain about eating chain store pizza. Like what my girl said, «mmmh you didn’t finish your pizza, that says ALOT.» Service: Usually if the service was good, I’ll throw on a few extra stars because I use to be a waiter too. But wow, service was horrible, had to ask for water, ask for red pepper for the pizza, ask for black pepper. Oh yea, lets not forget that we had to seat ourselves since waiters just pass us of one to another without seating us of course. Drink: Macrobrew beer and Brooklyn Brewery for your selections plus a long, low quality wine list. Beer served in bottles at 8 bucks per. Wine in glass or bottle, most available in glass. Crowd/Ambiance: Crowd composed of family of tourists and«high school reunion but I’m 40 now people.» I think their target audience must be tourists and people who don’t know any better. Be mindful that music is loud here. Came on a Sunday and it was a live CDDJ. I don’t mind the loudness and bass but for people looking for a quite place, turn around and leave. Actually for all people, just turn around and leave.
