Placed an order on Seemless and 20 minutes later Seemless called to let me know Bombay Sandwich Co cancelled my order because I was«outside there delivery area». I’m 7 block away. How small is your delivery area?

Unique and tasty! I go to Bombay Sandwich Co. at least once a week for my favorite thing on their menu: organic quinoa salad + lentils. Delicious! It’s my favorite salad in the city and post-workout fuel of choice since it’s packed with protein from the lentils and quinoa. I recommend getting a hot chai too.

So fresh and so clean! I used to work around the corner from this magical little shop and would stop in at least once a week for their delicious offerings. The Chana Masala Bowl is a favorite staple, the Kale and Hearty Salad always hits the spot and the Lentil Soup is perfect for cold days. Take your time, enjoy the chill music and treat yourself to a cup of authentic chai tea.

Food was 5 Star worthy. Fresh, delicious, incredibly filling and satisfying if you’re looking for something that won’t weigh you down. My friend and I split a platter and it was perfect for just us two. If I worked in the area, I would be a frequent customer. That said, service was rather sub-par. The Masala Chai was housed in a giant plastic container, and the chick behind the register didn’t seem to comprehend why it wasn’t hot anymore after sitting in there ALLDAY. Additionally, some homeless guy came in and offered to clean up after my friend and I, and same girl seemed to be lost on her phone. Wouldn’t eat IN again, but definitely eat from here.

Ordered delivery to my hotel — 5 blocks away. It was raining so I expected it to take a while. The estimated time was 45 – 1 hour. After 1 hour and 15min I called them to ask how long it would be they said it hadn’t left the restaurant yet so probably another 45min. They were apologetic and offered to give me my money back. What bothered me was that they should have just called and let me know so i wasn’t waiting for food for 2 hours if I hadn’t called myself. This was at 2pm so it was not the lunch or dinner rush time. I told them I would just ask the hotel for an umbrella and walk over, i did and the restaurant was not so busy they couldn’t have given me a call. The food was good and healthy but not something I would run back to. The cardamom shake had too much cardamom in it I couldn’t finish it. Overall, not the experience I expected but still a great concept.

Their Chana masala sandwich and date sauce is brilliant. Great service tight seating and wonderful aromas, you must stop by. The chai is for real, gentle sweetness with the right spice and a touch of ginger — wow for winter. Not thrilled about the pudding but the meal and the bread was authentic Indian flavor! Coming again with friends and ordering to the office.

We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm before heading off to a museum. The food was 5 stars. If I could give 6, I would. The food was so, so good. The service was abysmal. I’m definitely going back(for the incredible food) and I hope I can re-review this place and give it more stars. The food– wow, just wow. Every bite of my vegetable mash up sandwich left my mouth watering for more. How can food that is so good for you taste so phenomenal? Surely this is contrary to the laws of nature! But woe unto you if you are hungry. We arrived at about 2pm to find 6 customers sitting at the small counter(there are only 7 seats). We ordered with the indifferent and unhelpful woman who took her earbuds out to hear our order and then put them back in. She appeared to really loathe her job. We then immediately noticed that none of the other customers were eating. They were just sitting at the counter. Odd. 5 minutes goes by. Then 10. Still, nobody is eating. 15 minutes in, some food starts coming out. At this point we were ready to eat our napkins. We got our sandwiches(veggie mashup and tofu masala) about 25 minutes after our order … And they were really fantastic, so maybe there is some magic to the preparation that takes a long time but goodness. They were sandwiches! Other reviewers say the service is quick and pleasant, so I’m hoping they were just having a bad day. The food here is really game changing. If I lived closer and could eat there every day, I absolutely would. I desperately hope the service improves.

So excited to find this place. It’s like an oasis in flatiron. Had the lassi, rice pudding and Chana masala S/W and it was yummy. Can’t wait to bring my girl with me to try other things

Went to this delightful small shop. I had the«KALE-PESTOGRILLEDCHEESE,» $ 8.73. It has feta & fresh mozzarella melted with homemade kale-walnut pesto, tomato and black pepper, Grilled in 7 Grain Bread. It was delicious. I also had a cup of their«VEGGIELENTILSOUP», $ 4.96. It’s homemade soup server with a slice of 7 grain bread. To warm my bones on the go, I got a cup of their«MASALACHAI». It’s $ 2.76 for the small and $ 3.67 for the large. It’s a combination of brewed milk tea with fresh ginger and spices. It was very good. Personally I love chai that burns horribly on the way down so this was not the best chai I’ve ever had but very close. Overall a great little place for lunch for vegetarians.

The food here is so good! I had the platter, which comes with a combo of 5 dishes of your choosing on top of rice. Every single thing I tried was delicious and fresh. I tried the platter with chana masala, lentils, sweet potato salad, quinoa salad and kale salad. The dish is served with a yummy, peppery hot sauce too. I topped it off with a tasty chai. The restaurant itself has seating along the wall of windows or you could eat at one of the many tables in the public space right outside. They were bumping some good tunes inside, which added to the great experience. I can’t wait to go back and try the sandwiches and some of their other dishes. This place is a definite go-to spot in the neighborhood for some exceptionally good food.

I got the kale and hearty salad. I was pleased with the Indian flavors of the house dressing without it being spicy. The mix of kale, beets, cabbage, avocado, and sunflower seeds was good. However, I wish there were more seeds and that the beets were chunks instead of strips(so that they could have a stronger flavor). The yogi’s choice smoothie was not so much a smoothie as it was a chai-like juice with almond bits mixed in. This said, I still enjoyed the taste but was disappointed in the texture and found the almond pieces more of a nuisance than anything. The place has one wall of bar stool seating but somehow it doesn’t feel cramped. It is clean and comfortable with seating available outside for warmer days. I’m not sure whether it was because it was rainy when I went but one negative was that the lights kept flickering. Still, I would return because of their one of a kind style and great vegan options.

Was looking for a place to have a quick lunch by myself and I’m glad I stopped by. The place is small with seating along the windows but there is a big public outdoor area for people to eat and sit. A lot of people who came in seem to be on lunch break around the area and ordered to go. The service is quick and most people received their order within five minutes. I’ve always wanted to try the Honey Fennel Grilled Cheese Sandwich but instead, I ordered the Chana Masala Bowl after I saw everyone get the same and a small Cardamom Coffee. I waited for a few minutes and my name was called, but they forgot to give me my drink. The bowl was surprisingly very filling and I even saved half for later. The chickpea stew was very well seasoned and I love the heat from the hot sauce. The apple garlic pickle was very fresh as well. As for the Cardamom Coffee, I’m not the biggest fan. I will be coming back for the grilled cheese and bowl again!

Ayurvedic Soul Food! So happy to have found these guys at Smorgasburg today… reminiscent of my favorite spot in New Orleans — Good Karma Café. I had the platter which included Kale salad with pickled veggies, Sweet Potato mash and Chana Masala over rice. So good, it was my perfect dream meal, I scraped the plate clean. I SOLOVE delicious Vegan food and am so incredibly grateful to have eaten this yummy food today!

Beautiful, colorful, healthy, hearty, and nutritious food that fills you up yet still feels light. A vegetarian playground. The kale hearty salad was just an amazing combination of flavors with the perfect crunch. Avocados added a nice texture contrast to the sunflower seeds. Everything was so well balanced, and the house sauce is really something special. The wraps and sandwiches are amazing; can’t get enough. Will be coming back here on the reg. Not a lot of places have a menu with this many healthy, creative, and tasty options, so I can’t wait to come back and try everything. The inside has a small bar for dining, but not much space otherwise. Perfect for a to-go lunch or when you want to grab a quick bite. There is a large open area outside that is perfect if the weather is nice, though!

The ingredients here are wholesome, they’re not processed. They use good ingredients here and the presentation is good. They give you good portions for what you pay; it’s a sufficient amount of food. I really liked the Vegan Mango Lassi, which is mango, almond milk, and lemon. I don’t even really like almond milk and I liked this. It’s not too sweet so it’s a perfect, flavorful drink to have on a hot day. The only thing I would say is that maybe they can lay off the salt on the chickpeas and the tomatoes in the mashup did not have a lot of flavor. I would come back.

A place that extols itself as being vegan, vegetarian, AND gluten-free doesn’t really excite my appetite, but I pride myself on being open-minded and giving everything a fair shot, especially when the lunch spots that sell carnivorous food have lines going out the door. This long narrow sandwich shop is opens onto a public space with tables and chairs for seating, ideal for nice weather. Not knowing much about the food, we ordered a platter where we could choose 5 items. We picked the sweet potato salad, tofu salad, quinoa salad, veggie mashup, and chana masala. It’s not a huge portion for 2, but it’s enough. It would definitely be too big for one person. Also ordered a lentil soup. The flavor profiles on each of the foods was crazy! So much sweet, spicy, tangy, herb-y flavors! I favored the sweet potato salad, but I liked all of it. The lentil soup was also very good, although I do prefer a meat version over this one. Great toast, though. I ordered a mango lemonade that was just so-so. A nice option to have when you want to eat healthy(for a change).

Indian food is usually very vegetarian friendly, so it makes sense that with a few tweaks, it can also be vegan friendly. Bombay Sandwich Co is a cool little spot. It’s kind of a hole in the wall, but it’s in a public plaza so there’s actually a ton of outdoor seating. They’ll even bring the food out to you. They have a lengthy menu of sandwiches, wraps and sides. I definitely recommend going with someone and getting the platter to share, as it gives you a taste of five different things for just $ 13. We had the chana masala, tofu salad, quinoa salad, veggie mashup(with kale and beets), and the sweet potato salad. My favorite was probably the tofu salad(the tofu was more shredded than cubed). The veggie mashup and chana masala were also good, especially with bread. Had the lentil soup as well. It came with a piece of toast, which was a nice touch. The cashier warned us that the soup was over-spiced that day, but it was fine. Also had the cardamom iced coffee, which was… interesting. Imagine a chai latte mixed with coffee. All in all, definitely worth going to if you want to eat healthier and don’t mind having cumin breath for the rest of the day.

Woah, as a carnivore i would have never have thought i’d give a 5 star review to a vegetarian gluten free shop. A small take out shop with window bar seating, it’s a small space but service was good. I’ve tried many vegetarian places and have hated them all and have come out hungry. This spot has changed my whole thoughts on the topic. Ingredients are super fresh and the flavors are standout and outstanding. My go to item is the kale salad. Fresh krispy kale, avocado, pickled cabage, sunflower seeds. It’s hearty and filling. Also the platters are great too. The sweet potato is delish as well as the tofu salad. All have great marinades and are refreshing. Filing and a light meal. You feel energetic afterwards. I’m a fan.
