The hummus was not as smooth as I like but it was still good The complimentary bread they served was phenomenal. Enough crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. The lamb tagine was phenomenal. It was rustic, hearty and warm. Exactly what you need on a cold winters day! Think of it as an elevated beef stew! My only issue was the hostess… When I waked in around 5:45 pm on Friday eve, I asked to table of one. She said fine but I need the table by 7… Hmmm. 1) how long do you expect me to be here. 2) there were plenty of seats that you could have seated me in the restaurant 3) there were 7 other tables sat after me. And since I was sitting by the door, I know she didn’t tell them she needed the table at 7. Other than the rude hostess, the service was on par and the food good! Wld def come back.

Great atmosphere both inside and out; always a sucker for exposed brick and not on the street outdoor seating. Restaurant on a Sunday night was busy and bustling but not in a bad way. The Chicken kebab was very flavorful and well cooked — nice char and still moist. The Mushroom Pizza was excellent! Thin crust perfectely cooked in a wood burning oven. Comes with: Mushrooms, roasted garlic, fresh herbs, kasari cheese, truffle oil asked the server to add onions — he forgot to write it down — was delicious just the same. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good(order mistake aside). Would definitely come back.

Food was better than expected. Service is quick and personable. I highly recommend you grab a seat at the outdoor tables and watch the whole UWS walk their dogs while you sip rose and nibble on kabobs. Nice choice for a quick, light, affordable meal.

Ordered delivery because of the 20% off promotion to order on their website or app for the first time. I got the Turkish Kebab. It was delish! It was cooked perfectly medium rare and had a nice char on the outside(came with grilled veggies and rice). Delivery was fast and the guy was friendly!

First time here and loved it! The waitress was so nice right from the start to the very end(sad I didn’t get her name). Got the hummus(with fresh hot bread) and the shepherd salad to start – SO good. I got the mushroom pizza and enjoyed every bite – loveeeee truffle on my pizza so knew exactly what I wanted when I saw it. The place seems very popular as it was packed the whole time and they had to go orders going out like crazy(I wish they delivered to me, but they don’t). Everything was fresh, fast and tasty. We enjoyed a great bottle of red wine and got an array of desserts because it was my friend’s birthday. Ride pudding, chocolate pudding and the baklava! Yum, yum YUM! Will def be going back soon…

This restaurant has killer bread, it’s freshly baked and highly enjoyable with their olive oil. However, when it comes to the main dishes, it fell slightly short because the bread set up such high expectations. We had both a pizza and a lamb entrée, I forgot which one, but overall it felt under-seasoned. The waiters are nice enough. They surely get a lot of take out /delivery orders. I would still come back because the atmosphere is really nice for a small group dinner where you want good conversation.

Hands down my FAVORITE lunch spot in UWS! They serve delicious warm Turkish bread as soon as you’re seat. I love their Chicken Wrap — has hummus and red peppers in it. So goooood!

I’ve been wanting to review Bodrum for ages, but felt it wouldn’t be genuine. Though I’ve ordered from this wonderful establishment many times on Seamless(and have been more than satisfied every time), I had never dined here prior to Wednesday night. Today, I’m happy to report that Bodrum is just as good – if not better – in person. I mean, how often do you find a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant that also serves bangin’ pizza? I’ll tell you: not often. Not often at all. This place is unique in all the right ways. As mentioned, we came here on a Wednesday night. We got here around 8 without a reservation and were luckily able to snag the lone free table outside. Though I can’t speak to the drinks here, I can speak to quite a lot of the food given my Seamless history. As is the case with just about anywhere though, the fresher the food, the better. And of course, some items don’t travel well, so Seamless orders don’t typically give someone the entire breadth of the menu. Before get to my laundry list of orders here, a few quick notes about the dining experience. Service: Top-notch. It started off pretty shaky – it didn’t seem like there was an actual host there which meant one/both of us had to semi-pace around looking to catch someone’s eye in the hopes of being seated – but the issues stopped there. Others have mentioned the bread, and rightly so. Almost as soon as you sit down, everyone in your party will be given not one but TWO pieces of Bodrum’s magical bread. It’s great delivered, even better fresh. Told ya. And while they don’t give you a bread basket, about halfway through our meal we were offered a second two pieces of bread, which we graciously accepted. In addition to the olive oil on the table, a few of our dishes featured some seriously flavorful sauce. Prime dipping material. Bring on the extra bread. On this particular night, we just decided to share a couple of appetizers and forgo pizza altogether. If I hadn’t had Bodrum pizza before, that wouldn’t have sat well with me but for one night, I can compromise. We got: Karides Guvec(Shrimp casserole with tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms & kasari cheese): B+ Like a poor man’s shrimp scampi. There wasn’t anything particularly notable about this dish. The shrimp were fresh, the flavors were bright, and the broth was steaming hot. I repeat: prime dipping material. I wasn’t wowed by this dish(when I feel like I can make something I eat out at home, it’s probably not that exceptional), but it was still solid. Manti(Turkish tender steamed dumplings filled with ground lamb & fresh herbs in a garlic yogurt sauce): A-/A My only qualm with this dish was how heavy the sauce was(still tasty as far as flavor goes, though). Otherwise, absolute heaven. We asked our waiter how many dumplings came in the small serving, to which he replied, «about 25 or 30». This sounded strangely gratuitous until we found that each dumpling was about the size of a nickel, maybe even a bit smaller. Basically, swaddled baby lamb nugget. Mucver(Zucchini patties with crumbled French feta, fresh dill & scallions, topped with garlic yogurt sauce): A Great delivered, unreal right out of the kitchen. Am I sounding redundant yet? Crispy, rich, savory, cheesy, herbed to perfection, served with fluffy yogurt sauce. I could eat these everyday. There are three per serving so do yourself a savor and get a double order. Now that we’ve gotten that over with, I’ll mention the various items I’ve ordered(most of the multiple times) from Seamless. Chicken Sis Kebab: A-/A It’s a Turkish Chicken Sis Kebab. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, as it should be. Otherwise, it’s what you’d expect. Not a bad thing though! Babaghanoush: A+ Hummus: A Lumping these into one item since they’re both spreads. I haven’t ordered from Bodrum in a while so it’s hard to articulate why I’m giving the former a slight bump up. I just know I pretty much always order the Babaghanoush and I pretty much always inhale it. Bodrum does spreads WELL. Do not pass these up. I don’t care if you’re bread-averse, just eat the damn spreads with a spoon. Spicy Sausage Pizza(tomato sauce, spicy Italian sausage, broccoli rabe & roasted garlic): A+ A Turkish restaurant known for its pizza? Is this real life? Only in New York, I tell ya. When I first saw that Bodrum was categorized as a pizza place on Unilocal,I scoffed at the prospect. But somehow, some way, they manage to pull it off. This pizza is the winner here, in my opinion. The sausage is delicious and pairs perfectly with the broccoli rabe, as the two typically do. Thin, crispy crust. Oh baby. Meatball Pizza(tomato sauce, lamb meatballs & fresh mozzarella cheese): A– Nothing too special here. The meatballs are lamb as opposed to beef, which adds some extra, flavor. I don’t typically go for lamb but it’s actually quite enjoyable in this case. Interesting twist on a classic!

The *best* hummus and crusty bread ever. So delicious. We got a puriscuito(sp?) pizza was also really good but I feel my whole meal was bread lol. But seriously so delicious. Some of the crusty bread was burned which I didn’t like – but my boyfriend loved it and said that’s normal and people like that.

Had brunch here. Nice, had a great time. The space is quaint and not crowded at all. Service was attentive, not overbearing, water glasses were always full. Started out with yummy, yummy bread with olive oil and olives. Bread was replaced as it was finished. We stared off the the Red Lentil Soup, outstanding. At the table there was an Artichoke Pizza, Stuffed Cabbage. Both were excellent with the Pizza standing out. They do their pizza in a wood fired oven. I had the Shakshuka. I have had it once before cooked by a friend from Israel. Her’s was superb. Their’s was just a slight notch below. Very slight. Portion could be just a little bigger but the Turkish Sausage added a nice touch along with the perfectly done egg. If you’ve never had this dish I highly recommend it. Traditionally you eat it by scooping it up with a Pita, as in customary with many foods in the Arab World. I’ll give them a break for not providing a Pita, it is a Turkish Restaurant. I was the only Coffee drinker at the table. I really enjoyed the Turkish Coffee; drink it without milk and it will, «Straighten You Out.» Their regular coffee was good as well. I’d definitely go back again. The prices are very, very reasonable. Four people eating for under 100 $ with tip is very uncommon on the UWS. Granted we did not drink but still excellent value.

One of my favorite restaurants in Upper West Side. I appreciate good selection of appetizers. Brick-oven pizza choices are all delicious. As restaurants are getting corporate feel, this place remains to be friendly, neighborhood place. It has good selection of red wines — I thought Malbec was very good. Monday night wine specials are worth a try.

This is one of my favorite UWS restaurants. It’s perfect for almost any occasion, simple, delicious, healthy(if you want it to be), satisfying, intimate, etc. Favorite items: Baba Ganoush is the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. And I have had A LOT of eggplant. Branzini with Fennel — FANTASTIC.

Probably the BEST dining decision I have made in recent memory, of course, courtesy of Unilocal. Even as my friend and I stepped in from the cold unforgiving streets of a(finally) wintry, dim afternoon, I knew this was the gastronomical refuge we were truly seeking. We were essentially the only other diners in the restaurant around 345, so we luckily still were able to use the lunch menu. It was an odd, but interesting time to be in the restaurant, as the waiters/staff were seated in one area eating a meal, and preparing napkins for dinner. Didn’t interrupt our dining experience but made it ever so more interesting to see the inner workings of the well decorated restaurant. My friend and I settled immediately on ordering the chicken shish kebab and the kofte. The waiter made the good assumption of knowing that we would split the entrees– when he brought over the food(which came out in a good amount of time), he gave us extra large plates on which to easily split the entrees. My only gripe was that we were offered olive oil before this, but no bread. The chicken shish kebab was rather mediocore– it tasted not as wonderfully imbibed with spice as you would expect. But the bellpeppers and vegetables on the skewer accompanying it were quite flavorful. The kofte was out of this world, and immediately transported me back to my time in Turkey. My friend and I kept on wondering how could something be so juicy, so tender, so delicious, so warm, so filling, and so wonderful, all at the same time. I don’t think I have ever tasted kofte as delicious as so. The rice accompanying the meat was subtly flavored as expected, and the salads had the best, airiest dressing. Everything was perfectly portioned, filling, and of good size to split with my friend. I wish I took pictures of our completely wiped plates(not even a single grain of rice left) to compliment the wondrous magic of this place.

Hands down one of the best joints UWS has to offer. Stellar Turkish food– tender and moist chicken sis kebab(none of that dry overcooked stuff), mezze sampler was a knockout, and great zucchini fritters that are weirdly reminiscent of Korean or Chinese pancakes. I can’t stress enough my love for that sampler though– the hummus and babaganoush are both so smoky and deeply flavorful, and the yogurt dip is thick creamy goodness. The roasted eggplant dip was also good but there were a couple raw eggplant pieces. And of course a dip is nothing without some bread — and bodrum takes its bread v. seriously, of course, with that fancy brick oven they boast as their unique feature. I’ll have to try their pizza next time, even though this is probably the only time I’ve ever seen pizza being served at a Mediterranean restaurant.

Décor and service are excellent. Food is hit or miss. The bread is excellent. Pizza is excellent(I know, I know, who orders pizza when they go to a Turkish place?). Shakshuka was questionable. Something about the sauce and the consistently of the eggs was off. Not the best shakshuka I’ve had by a mile, but overall this place has some decent options. Really recommend making a reservation to come here, because it gets very crowded and is pretty small.

I’d recommend going out of your way for Bodrum. Everything we’ve ever had there has been excellent time after time. Last night, we had branzino and a pizza delivered, and it was as good as it was at the restaurant, which glorious. Bodum makes my favorite babaganouj. BONUS — good outdoor seating TIP — make reservations, Bodrum can get busy BONUS — good value BONUS — good service

Establishment décor is great The food is decent. The service is disappointing. I ordered a hummus plate and by all accounts of eating hummus in numerous other locations every platter comes with a sufficient amount of bread for you to enjoy your hummus with. That was not the case in Bodrum, where the server only gave me two pieces of bread for a whole plate of hummus but also did not have the decency to fill back up my plate of bread after I was finished. I had to get her attention and even when I did she only gave me one slice, as if she was doing me a HUGE favor. Terrible way to do business. You should do better Bodrum
