Bob’s Your Uncle

Great new-​ish addition to the UWS! Bartenders are friendly and the cocktails are delicious (and well priced around $ 10 – 11). They have a nice, laid-​back space with high top tables along with a shuffleboard bowling game in the back. Appreciate the «bring your own joe» where they’ll take your cup of coffee (or hot chocolate) and turn it into a warm, boozy drink!

We sat at our table 15 – 20 minutes before anyone came by to let us know we should order at the bar. The bartender was not familiar with everything on the menu. Still, the drinks he made were very good and I would go back. Would like to see some food added to the menu.

Should probably have more comfortable chairs on account of how long you have to wait to be served.

Great little joint! If you have a work HH or are just interested in a low-​key bar this is the perfect place. Nice array of brews on tap. Pretty empty on a week night so if you wanted to bring a bunch of people, this is your place. Great jello shot deals as well. I mean really do I need to say anything else.

Great local spot in an area that needs good bars. Tap beers are good and fairly priced. The place itself seems a little bare-​bones. A few partitions and some more comfy furniture would help a lot.

Let me start by saying the bartender was extremely personable, there is a mini-​bowling arcade in the back corner and it has craft beers on tap. All great things.
But the setting is pretty spartan and the craft selection on tap during my visit wasn’t anything that would make me want to plan a special trip back. Keep in mind, I came here as a spot on my beer passport and I’ve already tried 60 different craft beers the month before arriving here. I would say I’m a bit more picky when evaluating the tap selection.
This seems like it’d make for a good neighborhood bar though.

Bob is my uncle in the way that none of my uncles ever allowed me to have a beer. He rocks. Bartender Mike is awesome as he and I hung out at the mostly empty bar until a huge group came in. So yeah, this place is great for groups or just hanging on your own after work. The place has dimmed lighting and plenty of seating and space.
I personally miss the days when one could hula hoop or shoot billiards in the middle of the bar, but I guess I have to let go of the past. Crowd is friendly across the board, so you can always socialize without feeling cramped. They are dog friendly, so don’t be shocked when you see a little leashed pooch at your feet! Although Uncle Bob doesn’t feed you, he will let you order whatever you want and have it delivered to the bar– or you can bring your own.
Overall, the place is laid back with low key décor in the way that the owners outfitted The Gibson in Brooklyn. Nice to know one can get the same atmosphere uptown. Incredible prices for both happy hour and non happy hour. The bar is well stocked and has a large, beautiful mirror that I missed taking a photo of. Did I mention that they have JELLO SHOTS ($ 3 or 4 for $ 10)!!! Score!

friendly neighborhood bar. Great staff who are helpful and laid back. Has a divey feel and although there’s no kitchen, they’ll let you bring in your own food to enjoy with your libations! I can definitely appreciate that. The space is huge and would probably be a great place to rent out for a bday party… hmmm
Glad that they’ve joined the local scene. I’ve only been a few times during happy hour, but would love to check out the vibe late night even though I only work and no longer live in the area. Daquiris are great. Mint lemonade with your choice of booze on a hot day!
They probably should try to have more than one bartender on at a time, though because when there are more than 5 patrons in the place, service gets dramatically slowed down. Won’t stop me from popping in every once in a while, but maybe I’ll make a helpful suggestion to the owner.

This space is actually incredible but it doesn’t seem to be utilizing it’s assets very well. They could do with more seating and more attentive bartenders. Hate to cut it short but their really isn’t else much to say about it.

It’s a really great place! The atmosphere is so nice, and the prices are low. The employees are always happy. Been there 5 times during my 15 days vacation!

Great neighborhood bar that has a slightly hipster vibe. Where you have a lot of sporty bars in the neighborhood, this fills in the gap of non-​sporty, and non-​pretentious bars. Nice bartenders. I dig it. Good cocktails, don’t just stick with beer. I live across the street, Yay!

A welcome addition to this great neighborhood. You won’t find friendlier bartenders and staff anywhere. Wonderful to find that relaxed «downtown» vibe up here — love it… Meet me there!

This place features a selection of rotating beers on tap including the Bobs Pils for $ 4. Cheap beer and not too crowded, sign me up.
We ended up heading over here to try it out as it just opened up a few weeks ago. Very dimly lit but we had enough light to play cards. At the tables the light fixtures have an outlet so you can easily charge your phone right at the table without searching for an outlet or surrendering your phone to the bartender. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I don’t think I waited more than a minute to get a drink at the bar. Jenga and taboo are both available behind the bar.
All in all I really enjoyed myself and will be back. Only complaint is it was very hot inside. There’s only one window in the back with a box fan so not a lot of cross breeze. Could have used an air conditioner.
