Small shop with extra seating to right of the counter, up the stairs. The hot chocolate didn’t taste sugary, but more like dark unsweetened chocolate. I loved it!

I love coffee and this place met my expectations. I’ve heard many good things about blue bottle but didn’t get a chance to try it until an impromptu journey into the city led me here. I had the standard cappuccino and my friend ordered ‘the gilbralter’(apparently a secret menu item). My cappuccino was perfect in every way and his drink was 2 shots of espresso strong, but delicious still. The store itself has a bench and three seats inside and two benches out front but we saw that there was additional seating upstairs for about 6 more people.

I will always come to Blue Bottle for the New Orleans. Iced coffee isn’t really my thing, but the blend of cane sugar and chicory in the coffee really makes a difference for me. I am almost always ordering the New Orleans, because it’s that good. Sometimes I even grab one of the little new orleans cartons to go. On the rare occasions that I order something else, I would get a soy latte or the cascara fizz(cascara tea, soda, lemon). Both are highly recommended. The cascara fizz is perfect for the friend who doesn’t drink coffee but want something more than just tea. But beware when you’re here during prime time. The line can be long and there’s limited space to sit/stand. There are a few chairs along the side of the line and people are constantly brushing against your legs as they’re waiting to make their order. I will continue to come here for iced coffee, probably the only iced coffee I’ll ever drink.

They closed down the coffee bar on top for siphon. Blue Bottle is still a good coffee brand as they keep their menu tight.

I love Blue Bottle, but hadn’t been to this location yet, so I popped in for a quick pour over. The man behind the machine was very nice, but then there were two women who made my pour over. Two. One started the bloom on two drinks and then she wandered off. The other finally noticed she wandered off(with an eye roll) and then finished the drinks. Mine had coffee spraying out beyond the edge of the paper cup(into which my coffee was poured even though I tried to hand them my to-go mug — I don’t like wasting paper cups. I would have preferred that they pour into ceramic and then transfer) so, some of my coffee was sprayed out, onto the outside of the cup and then she handed it to me — I poured it into my mug and then stood there and just realized that they wasted a paper cup on my behalf. I drank about a quarter of it. I’ve had worse coffee at Starbucks. This wasn’t to the BB standard.

Pretty great! Simple. Quick. Tasty! They offer a bunch of drinks and snacks to perk you up! It’s nice to buy coffee and not feel like a blip on a corporate radar(**cough** Starbucks). Plus, very friendly and knowledgable folks behind the bar willing to walk you through the menu. Will be back!

Conveniently located at the High Line. Always a long queue because of the tourists lining up for some hot coffee or pastries. A huge fan of coffee but not Blue Bottle’s. Guess it’s fine. Coffee is like pizza; Even the crappy ones are still good.

They have a minimalist layout. No syrups found here! But I got a latte and it was delicious! The espresso shots were great and my sister got the New Orleans which was good too! Felt like I wanted to see what the hype was about and their quality didn’t fail to deliver! The temperature was perfect and the foam wasn’t too much! Great short pull shot and ratio of foam! baristas were nice too. Overall a good experience.

The coffee is near perfect. Five stars for that. The service though. Walk in here and you’re bound to be served by some of the coolest people to ever commute in from Brooklyn. And boy do they know it! I’ve been to numerous other Blue Bottles(SF, BK, etc) but this one by far hires the coolest people. The first few times the service really turned me off. But the coffee kept me coming back. Now it has simply become amusing.

It appears to be a small little place but they have some more seating in the back. It was easy to get to from chelsea market and the product was quite good. Was it the best that I’ve ever had? Not really. Was it good? Most definitely. I bought one of their 3 dollar cookies… Meh. The latte was pretty though.

I had a friend who wanted to go into adult movies, so in order to practice, she Blue Bottles. It actually worked pretty well. I was always worried she’d cut her lips, but whatever. I prefer the parts where the girl gets the attention anyway. I was at Blue Bottle in 2014 with my food tour friend, who adores coffee. It’s one of the few things we have the same taste in, and neither one of us was impressed by the bitter, extremely Starbucksy coffee. So this coffee is basically like a stronger version of Starbucks. I’m sure it’s very good if that’s what you like(intense caffeine shots), but that’s the opposite of what I like. I prefer milky, creamy, silky, very gentle teas and coffees, such as Tim Hortons 4&4, or maybe a Dunkin Donuts 4&4. So Starbucks to me is the ultimate nightmare. And anyone that is similar to Starbucks in any way is not going to get it done for me. I will say that the servers were extremely nice and made my gf feel extremely welcome. Cool little location next to Chelsea Market, too. Be careful not to get a ticket if you park outside. Manhattan cops suck, especially around this market. While I appreciate that this is, to many people, the best coffee in town… I found it to be something I’d never drink again. It scores 3 just because it’s local, not corporate.

Uninviting little place, where you have to wait forever because they only offer pour-overs and espresso based drinks. I’m not a coffee expert(although I’ve worked in Indonesia and spent a lot of time in Miami,) but they tend to lean toward very fruity, floral beans, which I don’t like. There is a depth of flavor here I haven’t really experienced elsewhere, but when you’re tasting something in your mouth that you don’t like and it’s sticking around there for hours, that’s not necessarily a good thing.

It doesn’t get better than Blue Bottle, in my humble opinion. The prices are a bit steeper than I would have liked, but I don’t mind paying the extra dollar or two for a great cup o’ joe. My personal favorite is their New Orleans, but it can be a little too sweet for those who are not used to light and sweet coffee. This location is the one in the heart of Chelsea/Meatpacking District, right next to Milk Studios, so I’ve seen quite a few recognizable models and handsome lads while dropping in Blue Bottle. If you don’t have anything else to do and want to people watch during NYFW, this is your spot! They also have seating on a mid-level tier in the back, so wander a little bit towards the back of the register and you’ll find it.

I tried this third wave coffee chain just from curiosity. I ordered coffee Donovan$ 3,and my friend ordered cappuccino$ 3.75. Mine was flavorful and had rich aroma, but cappuccino was not that good, my friend said. It was a good experience, but Starbucks is enough for me.

finally got to try on my visit this weekend! Espresso tasted a little sour to me, but had a perfect crema. I’d like to try a cappucino or a drip if I come back.

Loved this coffee shop! everything from its aesthetics to the taste of their coffee. I loved it so much I had to stop by twice! I’m a HUGE fan of their Ethiopia coffee’s as well as their cappuccinos. It’s conveniently located right next to Chelsea Market but the current construction on the block can make it seem like you should be cautious but be rest assured, great coffee is nearby!

I came to Blue Bottle last year in March and headed straight to the Siphon Bar. I felt so cool walking upstairs and out of the coffee bar and into this mystical realm where coffee is brewed in this method where it brought me back to high school chemistry days. It was just cool. I don’t remember the name of my barista, but he looked like he could have modeled for GQ. He wore fitted dress pants, dress shirt, tie and fitted vest and topped it off with a newsboy cap. He also had a nice bushy beard and glasses. He was extremely knowledgable about his craft. He walked me through the process of the Siphon method. I was very excited to begin my experience. The barista honestly looked like a mad scientist at work. He first had to grind the beans and then get the water boiling. He let me smell the beans and we discussed the flavor notes. All in all, I had a great barista and he made me the greatest tasting coffee I’ve had thus far. *Note, because this is the Siphon Bar, coffee comes with a hefty price tag, but very worth it. I had the Ethiopian and paid about $ 13 along with tip.

Friends don’t let friends go to Starbucks. Friends do let friends get a better coffee from Blue Bottle. I first tried this delicious coffee in San Fran and when I’m in Chelsea I’ll drop in for a New Orleans style coffee or affogato(espresso + gelato = sugar and caffeine bliss). Prices are higher than say a crummy chain, but then again, if you prefer your coffee to taste good, then it’s worth every penny.

INSHORT: A café where coffee means coffee and extra hot no foam soy pumpkin spice lattes are nowhere to be found. THESTORY: As a California native, I’m sure I’m biased in my abiding affection for this Bay Area-based coffee company. That being said, Blue Bottle’s responsibly sourced beans, pure ingredients, and dedication to craft inevitably result in superlative coffee. Seating is a bit limited, but small pastries like cookies and muffins are available in addition to some freshly bottled jars of yogurt and berries. Everything from the menu to the décor is simple in this comfortably modern space, because Blue Bottle Coffee is just coffee that cares about being authentic, while also making you feel your best while drinking it.
