Best vegan place ever! I ve taken friend that aren’t vegan and friends that aren’t into the whole thing ahah No one has ever said anything bad about anything we ordered! I m kind of a share everything when I go out and I be tried almost the entire menu! It s all amazing!!! A bit pricier than a regular diner but a lot better then a regular diner so I don’t mind! :)

Since it was our first time here, my friend decided to go with what seems to be the most popular dish, the Port Wine Seitan($ 23), while I ordered the Seitan Scallopini($ 23). The Port Wine Seitan had a deep flavor from the wine and was very flavorful. For my dish, I don’t know what meat they were trying to imitate but I felt the seitan resembled fish(maybe fried flounder?). The bed of mashed potatoes and baby kale were also incredibly tasty and complemented the faux meat really well. I’ve tried a couple of vegetarian restaurants and I have to say this is the best one I’ve tried. I really forgot I wasn’t eating meat! Also, as a person who loves to eat, I have to say that the portions are on the larger side(there were 3 – 4 pieces of seitan in my dish!). I could have easily doggybagged half but it tasted so good, I couldn’t stop LOL. Just a note– maybe I’m just clumsy but I almost accidentally walked into the window that looks like a door. The actual entrance is on the left side of the restaurant! Also, the size of the restaurant is smaller than I imagined but there is some additional seating upstairs along with their restrooms.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants from now on! I made reservations for myself and my family as I always take the opportunity to take them to vegan/vegetarian restaurants on my birthdays(I’m the only vegetarian in the family). The space was very accommodating for our group of 7(plus a baby) and our server was very personable and friendly. I ordered the Port Wine Seitan and was blown away by the flavors and textures of the dish. The sauce was absolutely amazing! Needless to say everyone loved their own dishes too which is a great compliment as vegan food is not really the usual for them! We all tried different desserts which were equally delicious and I would definitely recommend the chocolate ganache. We will definitely be coming back again!

The fried pickles were amazing. As was the gnocchi in the cashew cream sauce. My partner had the quinoa salad and I actually regretted I did not as well. The service was excellent and they have great ambiance.

Absolutely amazed, impressed and surprised. I took my vegan kids here and my girlfriend. First, she rolled her eyes and said«What kind of wine do I have at a vegetable restaurant?» Anyway make sure you go to the right one. We didn’t, in fact my Google maps first sent us to two small locations.(not because I put the address in wrong but because Google steers you towards the most convenient one…) We made our reservation early 6:00 and got there a few minutes early because we were a bit time constrained. Our server was Stone. He was friendly accommodating and knowledgeable. He recommended two appetizers to start the flatbread of the day and the cashew cream ravioli. Holy smokes! They were incredible. Fresh complex and flavorful. For our dinner I had the Caesar salad on impulse because i saw one delivered to another diner. It was huge. Delicious crispy fresh, again the flavors exploded. I’ve also ordered the Cauliflower steak special the other the tempeh tower. They were freaking out over the deliciousness. There are so many other menu items I can’t wait to try. Be back soon!

For a person who is not a vegetarian/vegan, I find that this place is adequate in satisfying taste-buds/dietary needs. I’ve always heard good things about this place and was gladly not disappointed. Would I make it a point to go back? Probably not but for it’s purpose of serving good vegan food, I felt that this place accomplished its goal. My friends and I started with the Mushroom calamari and cape code cakes. The star of the entire meal for me was the mushroom calamari. It was nice and crispy and had the consistency of calamari. The mushroom itself was moist and tender, full of flavor. The cape code cakes were fine. Mushy on the inside, topped with some tarter sauce to remove the dryness of the cakes. As for entrees, I got the rigatoni in porcini cream. The rigatoni was cooked al dente and there was plenty of broccoli rabe in the dish. A little bitter to my liking but still good. I found that it overall needed my salt but it was still good, with the sauce being nice and creamy with a hint of that truffle. I also tried the port wine seitan and found it be full of saucy flavor. The mash potatoes that came with it was good. Overall, a good foodie experience. I left feeling extremely full. The wait staff was very nice and the restaurant itself is decorated very nicely and spacious so you don’t feel overly cramped while eating. I would definitely recommend this place to vegans and people wanting to try vegan food.

I am a repeat diner of this place. I have so far taken five different people here about 9 or 10 times. The food is excellent, I almost always get the mezze platter for the curry sweet potato(so delicious). But I have also had the lasagna which is wonderful, the brussels sprouts are excellent and the soy ice cream is delicious. They also have very good wine here. The Pinot Noir by the bottle is wonderful.

Exceptional service(Ben), amazing menu selection and outstanding flavor. Do yourself a favor. Take a non-vegan friend, DON’T tell them where you are going and don’t let them see the menu. Order them the lasagna. They’ll never believe it when you tell them. We WILL be back and we WILL tell everyone we know… Blossom is MUSTENJOY as part of the NYC dining experience. And if you’re a foodie and you haven’t heard of it or been there… rectify this immediately or be left out of the joy experienced by everyone else.

We ate at Blossom Tuesday evening for dinner. The atmosphere is something you would find on the upper west side: stuffy, old, not where you would stay for that third drink. I was disappointed there was only one raw dish on the menu for dinner, not including the salads. I think there is a market out there for more dishes. We had: Raw Zucchini Rolatini– delicious and very creative. I definitely will try making this. Sweet Potato Gnocchi– Relatively tasteless, but taken with bites of the zucchini this was perfectly paired Caesar Salad– large– The fried shitake mushrooms taste and have the texture of extra crispy bacon. The extra fine chopped romaine salad gets tiring after a while. Would have loved to have seen some greener bits of green in this.

By far my favorite vegan restaurant. I love this place. The décor is so warm and cozy which makes leaving difficult. The food is amazing even for the meat eaters, as a fellow carnivore I don’t miss a thing when I eat here. Healthy meets yummy. PROTIP: try ten breakfast platter with the most amazing french toast ever

I LOVED this place. The food was amazing!!! I went there with a septic friend who was not as excited as me about that vegan restaurant. Guess what! He LOVED it too! Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavors. I truly believe every foody must try it. The restaurant is also very cute and charming. The only thing I could complain a little about would be the service, which was a little long. Go try it out!

I’ve had Blossom bookmarked for a while and I’m glad I finally got to try it. My husband and I made a Sunday night reservation for 7pm through OpenTable. We showed up, sat down and it was smooth sailing from there. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered Brussels sprouts, fried pickles and truffled mashed potatoes to start with. Our appetizers arrived quickly and they were all tasty. The fried pickles were our favorite and the ranch sauce was so good! For our main courses, we ordered the Hickory BBQ Tempeh and the Rigatoni In Porcini Cream. Both were good(and filling), but not overly impressive. The desserts were great! We had the Tiramisu and Apple Cobbler. Both were on point and so delicious. With good food, great service and organic ingredients, Blossom is definitely a good place to check out.

This is my new favorite Vegan spot in the city! Their dishes are displayed beautifully and are very tasty. We ordered the Mushroom based calamari, BBQ tempeh w/collard greens and Lasagna. Each dish was very good especially the BBQ tempeh, I’ve finally found a great vegan lasagna here after tasting so many bland ones for years now. It was also great to find a Calamari substitute that tasted just like the seafood Calamari I’ve been use to eating before becoming vegan, the texture is also the same. The service is also very nice and friendly, they could do a little bit more with the décor and feel of the upstairs part since it’s a $$$ rated restaurant. It’s places like Blossom that makes it easy to live a Vegan lifestyle… Guilt free and super tasty!

Dark and Dingy I made reservations months in advance, as I was super excited to eat here. I’d read the great reviews and love the area. The store front is charming and inviting from the outside. Very romantic looking. When we entered to check in, we found it to be very crowded. There are a few chairs but it’s not a waiting area. We had to wait in the stairwell which was cramped with other guests. Those same steps also take you to the single restroom, that was so tight you barely had room to shut the door once inside. Once we were sat, our server greeted us. She seemed über relaxed; too relaxed for my tastes. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t memoriable either.(Maybe it’s because it was so dim in the dining area). I love mood lighting, but when it’s this dark my imagination gets the best of me. I think of dirt and bugs. With so many great choices in the city, we most likely won’t make a return visit.

Nice place but food is okay to try once. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back any time soon. Employees were all nice though. Food is over priced for what you actually get. We got 5 different played and left hungry.

My husband is vegan I am not. I do love great food. Blossom is certainly the home of great food. Our third trip to the restaurant happened to be for Valentine’s Day. Unlike a lot of prix fix holiday menus there was plenty to choose from. All dishes were beautifully plated, the thought and care taken in preparation is evident even before the first bite. We opted for an appetizer plate for two to start — mini avocado crustini, polenta with a dollop of squash, Philo wrapped artichoke & feta & chocolate and red chilli rissotto croquettes. Each bite better than the next. We both chose the same entrée the AutumnTower –chickpea cake, marinated beets, asparagus, potatoes, yellow tomato sauce with garlic aioli. A wonderful blend of flavors yes people vegan food can be tasty and flavorful! For dessert I opted for the tiramisu which was as tasty as any quality non vegan version I’ve ever had. Hubby went for the chocolate parfait(I admit to stealing some) rich chocolate sauce and coconut cream yummy! We will definitely go back. As a non vegan I look forward to our next trip Blossom is on my list of very favorite restaurants of all types.

Ridiculously delicious. The trumpet mushroom scallops. are. off. the. rocker. Great mains. Good daily specials. An «in bloom» menu of fresh seasonal ingredients. Tons of gluten free options. Good wine list. We had the hickory bbq tempeh and added mashed potatoes for a hearty share plate. Of all the places, including Dirt Candy, that I’ve tried in Manhattan, Blossom is my favorite. It is well executed, thoughtful, filling, warm, comforting food that sustains vegans without them having to peruse and find what they«can» and«can’t» eat. I’m a follower.

Romance and Romaine Leaves in Chelsea. A quaint, candle lit eatery that would work magnificently for this weekend’s St. Valentine’s Day. I’m in love with Chef Jeremy Scullin’s San Diego based rocketship called Kindred, and when I made plans to hit the city, I made plans to see this restaurant that he acquired some of his skill set. Started off the meal with the remarkable Chef’s Sampler for Two. Buffalo risotto croquettes, seitan empanadas, fried pickles with ranch dip, seaweed caviar canapes, spanakopita with cashew ricotta, raw zucchini rolatini. Everything was great but the Canapes were truly mesmerizing. For mains I selected the Hickory BBQ Tempeh. It included roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed collard greens, and horseradish crème fraîche. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I ordered the Tiramisu with Coconut Marscapone and the Chocolate Ganache with Peanut Butter drizzle. Both worth the trip by themselves! Vegans rejoice and pay homage at Blossom. *Lighting is a perfect setup for getting it in but terrible for food porn pics*

As a vegetarian who absolutely loves Blossom Du Jour for fast-casual, I couldn’t wait to check out Blossom! I came here for dinner last night and left feeling pretty disappointed. My friend and I ordered and split the following: Chef’s Sampler for 2 — I wish the menu had made it more clear that almost everything on this platter is fried or breaded. It was not bad, but it just wasn’t the fresh, healthy dish I was in the mood for. I would definitely skip this next time. Cashew Cream Ravioli — Ravioli was very good. The sauce was so incredibly creamy I kept forgetting it was non-dairy! Pistachio & Pepper Dusted Tofu — This dish was honestly inedible. I considered sending it back, but instead bit my tongue and paid the extra $ 21 when the check came. We both had one bite and could not eat any more of it. The tofu just tastes like store-bought tofu and the«crust» has a sawdust-like texture. I actually lost my appetite after one bite. Port Wine Seitan — The better entrée. The seitan has a very meat-like texture and the port wine sauce and mushrooms were delicious. I would order this again, if I ever find myself back at Blossom. Overall, okay experience but I will not rush back anytime soon.

Had my birthday here last year and was extremely happy with my decision. The vegan community is lacking fine dining restaurants, but Blossom holds up to every standard. On my birthday, the server was extremely patient and polite. I had the calamari and rigatoni in porcini cream, did not fall short of amazing. I came here another time for lunch, also was extremely satisfied. I had the seitan scallopini, it was good but too salty for my taste, so I stole my boyfriend’s lasagna which was amazing. And for dessert, the lemon cheesecake and cappuccino were amazing. Best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever tried. Definitely will come back!

Holy vegan foodies! Let me start this review by saying I am not a vegan. I love cheese and I eat my share of meat, but that did not stop me from drooling(literally, napkins were wet) from the time I read through the menu to the time I sat down at a table. I was the first to arrive and was talking to the hostess. I commented on the uniqueness of the establishment(a two story house) and she laughed and said that was normally the first comment patrons made. I was waiting for my two girlfriends so I ordered a glass of wine. I thought the selection was ok and a tad expensive. Once the friends arrived we divided and tackled the menu. We tasted: Chef’s Sampler(the seitan empanadas were the stars of the dish) Hickory Barbecue Tempeh Moroccan Tagine Port Wine Seitan We all cleaned our plates and left nothing to take home. The service was exceptional and we did not feel rushed at all(even though there was a hour wait!). I will be heading back there soon! Word to the wise: make a reservation!

What to say about Blossom. Nothing. Because it’s rude to talk with my mouth full. But since that rarely stops me(I’d never be able to speak otherwise), I’ll give it a try. I’ve lived in Manhattan, and since moving back to LA, I still visit at least once a month, and so I’m pretty familiar with the vegan options the city has to offer. And it’s not an accident that Blossom has become one of my ‘go-to’ places when I want a special meal with special people. I’ve had Easter and Thanksgiving meals here, and recently it was suggested for a 12-person birthday dinner. Of course I took that idea and ate it up. The restaurant was great with the reservation, and gave us a perfect table upstairs, in the front of the restaurant. It made it a little more difficult for our server, but it was nice to not be crowded by the other tables. The most difficult part of the evening had to be deciding what to eat. There are so many great things to choose from, and they rotate the selections seasonally. Planning my meal here is like planning a complicated food strategy. If I order this, and I can convince my friends to order these other things, I can probably end up trying all four of my ‘first’ choices! My meal(s) were simply outstanding. I shared the cape cod cakes and the calamari to start, and both were so good I just about ordered 4 more plates of each and called it a night. For my entrée, I ordered the BBQ Tempeh, and substituted the potatoes out for some extra vegetables. It smelled so great when it arrived that just about everyone was wishing they had chosen it. But they didn’t. So I win! I also tried the Port Wine Seitan, which was(almost) as good. And then a few brave people ordered dessert(including me) and we shared them around the table. The key lime pie, the chocolate ganache and the apple crumble were outstanding. And somebody had the nerve to order berries but I sent those back down the table :). Our server was fantastic — just enough attention that water glasses were always full, but not so much to be intrusive. The service was quick, accurate, and everyone was happy. And not once was I asked how the food was tasting. I hate that… I mean, order one yourself if you want to know that! And while it’s by no means a cheap meal, the pricing is pretty great for what you get. 12 people, all stuffed, and less than $ 45 each including tax and tip. I’d review the parking, but it’s NYC and if you haven’t figured out that everyone takes taxis and Ubers then you don’t deserve to eat here.

We had reservations for Saturday night and they sat us right away. There were so many options available as the group I was with had many dietary restrictions. Therefore, everyone was very happy. For an appetizer, we got the sampler, butternut squash gnocchi, and a special that were like curry spring rolls. All of it was delicious. Then for my main, I got the rigatoni in a cashew cream sauce, which was absolutely amazing. I was full half way through but I could not tear myself away from it. Also, I knew sadly that I could not take the remainder to go. For dessert, I had to try their chocolate ganache that was so rich and out of this world amazing. My date got the special key lime pie, which was decent but not great. It was a bit too tart for my liking or his. We both gravitated more towards the chocolate ganache. The wait staff are all very friendly and polite. Our waiter even forewarned us that gratuity was already included, which was greatly appreciated. I hate when they do not warn you ahead of time. However, he received more tip because he was so amazing. The bathrooms are upstairs and can be a bit small. I warn you now that you do need reservations. The dining areas are not big. Also, remember to have enough in the bank account as it is quite pricey here.

I’d like to start off by saying I am a meat lover but I recently moved into the neighborhood and my friend does not eat meat so I decided to give blossom a try! I was extremely confused by the side door entrance but once I finally got in I was excited to try the food. We decided to split the sampler, the cod cakes and the rigatoni. Out of the sampler they were all really good little bites. I enjoyed the fried pickles and the rice balls. The cremini/porcini rigatoni was awesome. I will definitely go back with friends and would highly recommend to any vegetarians!

I felt a little apprehensive about their semi-sketchy entrance but once inside this cozy little place I felt enamoured! Quaint, intimate, dimly lit. Lively but not too loud. Perfect spot for a date with the vegan cutie you met at Bikram… or a rendevous with a ravenous carnivore you are itching to convert to veganism… or at least cut down their intake of raw-meat popsicles. My server was friendly, explained the specials and menu, and was attentive without being overbearing. I usually don’t go straight for the specials but tonight I did just that, with no regrets. An amazing seasonal veggie soup followed by a plate layered with spaghetti squash, spinach, and mushroom risotto with a cashew cream base. I opted for a side of coconut curry sweet potato which paired perfectly with my entrée. A wonderful medley of fall flavors. I also got a pot of loose tea… vanilla earl grey was my drink of choice to turn down on a stormy friday. All of this led up to a lovely and fresh berry dessert topped with coconut cream and a bit more hot water poured over my delicious tea leaves. No animals harmed. No flavor sacrificed. A perfect date with myself indeed. Thanks, self.

TL; DR: delicious vegan fare — recommend the cod cakes and fried pickles. Service slightly snooty, space also kind of cramped. Environment: it’s a small indoor restaurant in Chelsea, nothing to write home about. standard décor, have to enter through the back door. Feels a bit cramped. Food: amazing! I’m a vegetarian and it’s always hard to find a large selection of vegetarian options at nicer restaurants. Everything at blossom is vegan and while it’s not healthy, it will be a tasty way to dine with dietary restrictions. some of the starters are big and could go as entrees — the burrito, for example($ 15) and the cod cakes($ 12), which are three cakes, but extremely filling and rich with the tartar sauce. They don’t quite taste like crab, but are as close as it gets. Get fried pickles to share($ 7), but portion size is a bit small(maybe 20 – 25 chips total). Our waiter was fine, but became somewhat curt after we only ordered starters and didn’t drink and also didn’t take him up on his offer of dessert.

This is officially my favorite restaurant! I wish you were in Los Angeles! We were lucky to be able to book a reservation about 30 mins before we got there on a Friday night. It was packed in there, not one table open. The service was a bit slow, but we didn’t mind much as we needed time to go over the many different options on the menu. Here’s what we ordered: — Enchiladas de mole: amazing flavor, the sauce is delicious! Definitely a must try! — Raw Zucchini Rolatini: it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great! — Rigatoni porcini cream: everyone loved the cream sauce, I had to remind myself that there was no diary in it, it was that good! — Hickory bbq tempeh: delicious bbq sauce, we loved the consistency of the tempeh and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great! — Chocolate Ganache: delicious! I shared this entrée, but wanted it all to myself it was that good! The coconut ice cream was amazing and the chocolate ganache was heaven. — Lemon Cheesecake: this was really good, perfect amount of lemon flavor and not overpowering. — Apple Cobbler was also a hit at the table. Overall this place was amazing, everyone at our table was in awe of how good the food tasted, especially with it all being vegan! We had no complaints on any of the flavors, the chef is amazing here! I wish I lived in NY so I could eat at this place every week!

One of the best vegan restaurants in NYC. We go at least 2x/month. I recommend: *Chefs sampler to start *Lasagne *Port wine seitan We have dined here dozens of times with friends and these are consistently the most loved dishes. If you are in the mood for a salad than go for the Tuscan Kale.

NYC is one the most vegan-friendly cities in the world, and it’s full of dozens of great vegan restaurants — and Blossom is among the best vegan restaurants in NYC! It’s a small, intimate, and upscale café serving up amazing vegan dishes! Everything is delicious, but do NOT miss their signature dish: Port Wine Seitan: seitan cutlets served with port wine & mushroom sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, tempura onion, and sauteed spinach. I didn’t even know I liked seitan until I had it at Blossom. AMAZING.

My sister and I have been here twice now. It’s a fun splurge for an intimate vegan dinner and is definitely in my TREATYOSELF category. You absolutely need a reservation for Saturday evenings and nights… it’s.cozy… Our latest visit did not disappoint! Only one dish could have used some improvement… the Rigatoni in Porcini Cream. The description sounded amazing but, unfortunately, none of it translated into the dish. For $ 20, it was blah, blah and more blah. Imma forgive that dish… …because of the AMAZING Pistachio & Pepper Dusted Tofu! Seriously, I hope it’s on the menu FOREVERRRR. So tasty, so satisfying… Every component of that dish was perfection.sigh. We were also huge fans of the Chef’s Sampler for Two and the Trumpet Mushroom«Calamari.» How did they do it??? They worked some kinda magic back in the kitchen because those fried mushrooms had the exact same taste and consistency as calamari. Overall, I’m still a fan and so glad that the food is still as tasty as ever!
