Went here last night with some friends for a team get together. The space is large and easily handled our big group. We had some order of waffle fries(which were great), jalapeño poppers, pretzels, loaded potato skins, chicken tenders(which were overly fried), and wings. Overall, most of the food was pretty standard for what you might expect at a dive bar. Some highlights for me were the waffle fries, the honey BBQ wings, and the horseradish dipping sauce – which was phenomenal. Otherwise, it was pretty average.

Plenty of TVs, 10 beers on tap, spacious, cool and quiet on hot Saturday morning. Bartender Oliver is very nice, friendly and attentive!

The Chicken Wings over here are really really good. Nothing else stands out about this place. The bar tender was very arrogant and I wish I could not tip her anything… but decided to be nice anyway! Saw the Portugal game here. disappointing!

My girl friend and I were craving wings and were driven to find the best in NYC. After our Unilocal research, we found Blondies. This place has a great sports bar atmosphere along with plenty of wing options. The wings, hands down, BEST I’ve had in NYC. However, our server was extremely slow and rarely checked-in with us throughout our meal. It took 20 minutes to get our check! Overall, great food, but crappy service. Will be back during football season to check out their Sunday specials.

I went in because it’s the closest bar that offers wings and who doesn’t love wings from bars. Several of my friends have been here before and told me that the food was solid. I showed up and sat at the bar in front of the bartender, and I sat for another 10 minutes before I decided to try and get the bartender’s attention since he did not acknowledge me at all. At the time I was attempting to get his attention, another gentleman walked in and he was given a menu and asked what drink he’d like as soon as he sat down. And as I was asking for the menu, the bartender was rude and rudely said«Can you wait? I’m helping this guy over here.» I was a bit taken back by his reaction and eventually he came to take my order and bring me a menu. I believe throughout the meal he realized his error because he gradually became nicer and nicer, as soon as I finished my first beer he asked if I wanted another. Perhaps he was distracted, perhaps he didn’t see the 6 foot person sitting at the bar, who knows. the food however tasted delicious and solid selection of beer. TLDR; Service was subpar. Food and drinks were great.

Worst service I have ever encounter. Been there twice. Will never be back. The second time I went there we sat at bar and left after 5 minutes as nobody had served us, let alone e spoken to us. There are plenty of other bars around that will be happy to take your order.

Came in here every single night my husband and I were on vacation with the exception of one night when we stayed in New Haven. It also made it convenient since we were staying just 2 blocks away, so a late night munchie run and a night cap was always called upon. I don’t get what all of the negative reviews are about. The staff was friendly with my husband and I and even the owner bought us a round of drinks because it was our wedding anniversary. She didn’t have to, but she did. I really loved the wings though. They were hands down the best wings I have ever had and that is saying a lot. They were so crispy with just enough sauce on them to not drown them and the waffle fries are awesome! If I lived in NYC I would make this my go to spot because it is a place where everybody knows your name.

So we’ve been debating trying this spot for a while. My boyfriend really enjoys wings so I spotted this place a while back through Unilocal(thanks Unilocal) but we had never made it here till last night. The menu is short, but I’m okay with that if they perfect the items on it. We sat at a bar table so we had to walk to the bar to order. The male bartender was quick to take our order. We began with nachos. They were very mediocre. They had a cheap cheese wiz like cheese on them, spicy jalapeños(score), chili and some very thin sour cream. The chips tasted cheap. Overall, nachos weren’t great. Then we had 10 mild wings and 10 honey BBQ wings. SCORE! The mild wings had just the right amount of spice, crunch and meat-delicious! The blue cheese, fresh carrots and celery topped it off. The honey BBQ wings were very sloppy, a bit too much sauce, but equally as delicious. They went well with the ranch. They didn’t have many taps or interesting craft beers. There were about 10 taps and nothing exciting. It was a typical neighborhood bar. The employees were friendly and attentive. We will be back for those wings! Four stars solely based on the best wings I’ve ever eaten(and a plentiful serving of carrots and celery)!

I mostly go here to watch NFL games on Sunday afternoons and I have never been disappointed. Their beer prices are not bad, by NYC standards. I won’t say their wings are the best I have ever had in my life(in fact, their food overall is only«slightly above mediocre» IMO), but, I am also not holding them to the same standards as I would, say, BW3’s or Hooters. They have plenty of TVs for sports, and I have always been satisfied with the service. Bottom Line: Great place to have a few drinks and watch sports, but don’t expect a Michelin-worthy meal.

we came here after the party at the natural history museum. by the time we got here, it was already past 1 am, so it was quiet. however, i did get to catch the end of the giants/dodgers game in which brandon crawford hit the game-ending walk off homerun, so this place has a special place in my heart now. add the fact that they have a cool jukebox and a really nice bartender, this is a great place to watch sports and have some drinks. granted i was already too tired to drink at this point, but my friend had no problem partaking in some tequila.

It’s a sports bar, for god’s sake. I don’t come in here for fine cuisine, or to see-and-be-seen…I come here to watch sports, drink many beers, and enjoy some solid grub. Yes, the place gets very busy — especially on weekends and during major sporting events. In my experience, I think the staff handles the volume of business pretty well. My bartenders have always been straightforward and helpful — even engaging, if they have an opportunity — but when they’re busy, you can’t expect them to make a lot of small talk or look after your every need. But they are efficient. As for food, I have never had anything bad here. Food is tasty. Portions are well-sized, and delivered within a reasonable amount of time. Also a decent selection of beers on tap; it’s not an ale-house, but there are plenty of solid choices. I’ve been here during NBA playoffs and also on NFL Sundays; there are plenty of good TVs to go around, and the staff will ensure that you’ll be able to find the game you want on one of them. GETHEREEARLY to get a good seat, though. The bar and many of the tables will allow you to view unobstructed. If you sit at the high seats across from the bar, you can be sure some large people will block your view now and then. If you’re standing, expect someone in those seats to ask you to «move to one side or the other»… Even when it’s packed, it’s been manageable. The crowd can be loud, but generally always friendly. Simply put, if you’re from out-of-town and you’re not sure where to find your favorite team on TV, you can generally make yourself happy here, with solid service, good food, and some interesting people. Like I said — it’s a sports bar!

Blondes definitely makes one of the best Buffalo Wings in Manhattan. Real authentic. It’s the real deal. Many moons ago Atomic Wings was in Blondies. Now there not, but the recipe is still the same. Blondies is a sports bar with excellent cheesesteaks as well. I highly recommend this place if your in The Upper West Side

After coming here a few times I have probably had enough. There are simply too many things that make this place suck. For one, as a sports bar, people come with groups to watch games. But despite this they refuse to break up checks. So annoying. They also automatically charge 18% for groups more than 5, which would be fine if that didn’t mean the waitresses would stop caring once they see the 5th person show up. Last time we were there the waitress left for about 45 mins not to be seen. Never checked up or asked if we wanted more drinks or food, and never cleared our plates. Yet we still had to pay a hefty tip for crap service. Next, the wings are OK, but they are wayyyyy overpriced. $ 14 for 10 wings? Common really. Moreover this place nickel and dimes like a homeless person. I asked for more blue cheese and they charged a dollar without telling us. For a tiny cup of blue cheese. Cheap management and ownership. Such a turnoff. Also the TVs suck. For a sports bar the tvs are small and many are not in HD. Finally, the beer ALWAYS has a skunk/buttery taste to it, which means the tap lines are not clean and the kegs are sitting too long, thus developing bacteria. Gross. In summary, overpriced, bad service, mediocre food, stingy management and poor atmosphere for games. Done with blondies.

My first time here was a great one. I visited on opening night of the NFL season, Steelers vs Pats, and in case you didnt know this is a steelers bar. I was early for the game and it paid off as the placed filled out well before kick off. The wings were good. I didn’t get to try the fries. The drinks are fairly priced. I reccomend Blondie’s for slightly above average bar food and an awesome atmosphere created by you and your fellow patrons.

I liked the place. I am not a big sports bar fan. But we reserved a table for the Jets game and were seated promptly with a tv right above the table. The server was magnificent. She was friendly, caring, accommodating and a pleasure. The food was pretty good, though basic bar food. My only complaint would be that the drinks are a bit overpriced. Way too much for the wine. Overall a pleasant experience. I will return.

Came here on a Sunday night because I had a serious craving for wings. So the wings are pretty good but there is no difference between their hot and Ouch! Flavors. They both pretty much taste kinda spicy. Sweet potato fries are a great side to get. Honestly the worst part of my visit here was my waitress, she was no where to be found majority of the time and forgot half my order and blamed it on the bus boy. I would have given this place 4 stars but service was bad.

Went here for a Northwestern game. The overall atmosphere was pretty hype, but the seating seemed pretty disorganized. For the crowded Michigan/Northwestern game, four friends and I just ended up finding another bar on Amsterdam that was half as crowded and had much better service. The food here was nothing special, and the drinks were a bit too pricey for my taste. If you do want to go here for a game, make sure you make reservations beforehand, as the seating fills up about 30 min before the game. In the end, I’ll take a standard sports bar with better service and cheaper drinks over this.

This place is a sports bar through and through. If you come with any expectations other than a true sports bar you will be disappointed. They’ve got a great happy hour special – by one get one free. And so I got in and grabbed a draft beer and was presented with 2 for $ 6.50, after a long day it was like a present on Christmas. I was there to watch the Cavs play the Knicks and so I settled in and orders 10 wings. The wings guys, they are great. These are legit buffalo wings. Crispy, not freaky big, great flavor. Only caveat they aren’t very hot. The bartenders are great too, they are welcoming and awesome. This was my first time here and I left feeling a like a regular. I will definitely be back.

This place is expensive but the wings are really really good. I ordered their smaller order and a side of fries when I came here to watch a Giants game and it was super packed with people but luckily I got helped really fast by the bartender who even memorized my name haha. I will be coming back here in the near future and hopefully I come with back up for these delicious wings!

Best wings and great people and all the nfl games!!! Try the honey bbq wings & the waffle fries with gravy!!! The hostesses are awesome. They will do anything they can to get you a table amongst the crowd. Great for adults & kids alike. They have one room for each NFL game going on Sunday. You will find fans from every city. It’s soooo coool!

A great local spot for wings. Can get busy tho so try and plan as best you can. Waffle fries are great and screens everywhere for the game. Hard to beat Blondies for all it has to offer. That’s why it’s always so crowded on game day.

The three stars are for the setup, beer and atmosphere of Blondie’s. It’s a sports bar. I like sports, I like Brooklyn Beer in a pitcher and I love food so of course I like a place like this. I’m sure all the other pub food is tasty but we went for the wings and wings is what we got. 30 wings. 20 smoking original, 10 honey bbq with a ton of extra bleu cheese. The wing was cooked perfectly. Nice crisp outside, juicy and fresh on the inside these wings were not sitting around for any length of time, they were quite fresh and delicious… then they go ahead and ruin this by tossing them in some generic, chemically tasting, right out of a bottle wing sauce. So disappointing. I powered through them like any good wing eater would but I was not happy after all the reviews I read expounding on how amazing these wings were. Come on NYC, don’t you know your wings? Jeez. And the«bleu cheese» should’ve had Kraft stamped on the container. I can guarantee that actual bleu cheese has never come within a mile of whatever store bought bottle they poured the sauce out of. I’m not saying I would never go here again, I had a great time and am going to go again soon, I just won’t be getting wings here, ever.

I had heard all about Blondies from my boyfriend, who is a Chicago native and a Northwestern alum. He used to go here to watch the Northwestern games when he lived in NYC, so naturally, we had to go to Blondies to watch the Blackhawks secure the Stanley Cup victory. We had a reservation, and we were seated right in front of the screen – definitely the best seats in the house to watch the game! Throughout the evening, we ordered a couple of rounds of wings, fries, and pitchers of beer. My favorite was the scorcher – hot and spicy, but not unbearable. The honey mustard was also good, but not spicy enough for my taste buds! The waffle fries were a nice side for all of those wings. These wings were the best I’ve had in a long time, and I definitely return for them. The one negative of the evening was that the server was not the greatest and purposefully seemed to be avoiding eye contact. This is especially not cool when we were trying to order more food or drinks in between periods. Overall, the wings were awesome, and it was a really fun place to watch the game because we were in very good company.

I would give the wings an 8 of out 10… But Blondie’s missed the 5th star due to the overpriced sides. I would love to enjoy a dozen wings and a side of fries but with the side of fries being a $ 7.25… It wasn’t worth it. This is my second time here and I will probably return. For the wing lovers — size 9/10, flavor 8/10, heat(smokin’ sauce) 7⁄10. I would recommend the smokin’ to give you some extra heat but still maintain the flavor. No broken bones in the bunch and my order hand more drums than flats but still enjoyed them. Another positive is the quantity of sauce, they didn’t skimp and all the wings were coated without being drenched.

1 reason to come here: WINGS. I trekked from Brooklyn all the way to UWS to try the wings — I kid you not. Worth it. We’re not talking small wings and a skimpy amount of sauce. Very generous sized wings and enough sauce without being overwhelming. I saw a guy at the bar eating wings and watching a movie on his ipad. I’m so jealous — I wish that could be me every Sunday afternoon.

I cam here because I heard that it’s the biggest meeting place for Northwestern alumni on game days. And it didn’t fail to meet that expectation: the place was packed with Wildcats. The eating area is set aside for those who have made reservations(yeah, you should definitely call ahead and make a reservation) while at the bar you’ll be lucky to have room to stand and watch the game while having a beer. As for their food, their wings are excellent. It’s what they’re famous for, and it didn’t disappoint. They have different levels of spiciness for the wings(I got medium), and they come cooked perfectly, where the outside skin is slightly crispy but isn’t burned. The dish also comes with a plate full of celery and carrot sticks, so gobble those up with the ranch dressing if you’re feeling guilty for indulging in some wings and beer

Usually I’m not a fan of things being smothered… but when it comes to waffle fries being smothered in chili, sour cream, jalapenos and cheese, I say«yes, please!» And the wings, oh heavens, the wings! They say Red Bull gives you wings… I call BS. Blondies gives you wings, and they are good. Big, meaty and spicy, which are characteristics I favor in many, many things. Service is great. Beer selection is weak. If you’re not at the bar, I advise sitting at a table. The fabric on the seats in the booths is beyond disgusting. You can slide right in because it looks like they’re covered in grease. During a game or on a Friday night, the«bro» level reaches 11 on a scale of 10, but if you come at off hours, you won’t choke on testosterone too much.
