The food was surprisingly really good. Had the quesadilla with the mango margarita which was yummy. Tequila shots were also pretty cheap

Not the best Blockheads in comparison to the others but still has bomb drinks. The margaritas really can’t be beat. It’s the other things you can take or leave, especially the food. But going to eat chips and salsa and get great drinks is always a good idea.
Sorry our large group annoyed the servers, but they were still pretty cool.

I’ve been here several times — more often than not, it’s when I need to study. They are so much better than many coffee shops in the area due to a cool vibe, chill enough to sit in the corner and get some work done during early hours, and decent wifi. Margaritas are a great price on happy hour and the staff is super friendly.

BOMB food. I love the beef tacos; not quite Mexican, not quite TexMex, the chipotle sauce and cheddar cheese make them the perfect combination of unique and tasty. Great drink deals, especially during happy hour. Can’t wait to come back to New York just to visit Blockheads again.

I have been to this location twice. The Margaritas were great both times. This time that I went I got the mango and strawberry Margarita. The mango was very good but the strawberry reminded me of like a cough syrup.
The first time i came her and i was going based on what i was told that the food here is not good. And being honest i had gotten the nacho with chicken and it wasn’t good. I decided to get some this time too nacho with beef, and it was a lot better.
I’ll definitely be back here with some friends to throw back some margaritas.

A very nice spot to grab dinner and drinks with friends! The spot is rather small though but there’s many locations relatively close by. My friends and I ate dinner before so we opted for drinks only. We only got a bulldog except for one who ordered the peach Margarita (since we’re talking about this. I’m going to get this drink every time. I wish I decided to follow along with her and order a margarita but at least I now know for next time). The alcohol taste wasn’t really there– for those who can’t stand the taste of alcohol. The bulldogs is packed with an adequate amount of alcohol that may be too much for some people (myself included). The white sangria slush was so delicious and when mixed with the corona lime it was somehow even better. I don’t even like beer but I’ll definitely be coming back again and again to try all the drinks. The price is rather fair and the ambiance also makes for a great date night (it’s so loud that it’ll force you to scooch a little closer).

Came here with 8 girlfriends for our biweekly Taco Tuesday outing and honestly it was pretty dope! The food is definitely a bit pricier than other taco joints BUT it balances out when you factor in the $ 5 margs (or $ 3 if you hit that happy hour right).
Also we were expected bad services because of all of these comments but we had great service! Our dude SHAUN hooked it up — super friendly, incredibly attentive, and kept the chips + margs coming. THANK YOU SHAUN! #Shaun4Pres #Shaun4SpeakerOfTheHouse

Came back for brunch and bottomless drinks. Their drinks never disappoint. Had their mimosas and they were amazing! Had their avocado, egg and cheese and loved it.

(Seamless order) They are absolutely uncapable with following simple orders. The last two times I ordered, I always asked for «No Bell Peppers» (allergic) and every time my order is FULL of roasted pepper bits! By the second order I almost thought they were doing it on purpose.
After a few months I decided to give it one last try. Asked for no bell peppers as usual and called to double check. I specifically asked to please be sure to ask the cook to omit the peppers, and the girl on the phone said she will look to it personally. Guess what?! It seemed like someone was having a blast because my order was overloaded with… yes, you got it… bell peppers. 3^rd time is clearly a strike, no more for me!

I can’t even believe the rip off of this place. $ 17 for a fucking burrito? are you joking? is this a late Aprils fools joke? besides being a mediocre burrito, if that, the delivery kid didn’t say a word and rolled his eyes as leaving. you literally get a small, dry burrito and small container of flavorless salsa and one of sour cream. This is by far the worst delivery food experience I’ve had here in the city. I’ll never be ordering from here again and I will be spreading the word.

There’s a reason they’re known (only) for their margaritas.
Used their terribly buggy and basically unsupported MyCheck app to redeem a $ 10 credit from taking one of their surveys for the 3 Cheese Quesadilla $ 9.95 @ %10 discount -$ 1.00 because it refused to let us get the burrito lunch box. Arrived to find ‘it must be for another location’ and then when I proved it wasn’t, they caved and admitted they ‘had no internet’ and they asked if we’d wait (no apology or comps), so we did, and wish we hadn’t because the quesadilla was a tiny, bland joke.

This place gets packed after work hours. My friend and I were looking for cheap frozen margaritas and this place really hit the spot. I gulped down 2 frozen drinks and it was delicious. I don’t think the food looked that appealing to me but I’ll definitely come back for more frozen drinks!

Maybe they should have disclosed this, although it’s a different location with a brunch menu that other blockheads do not have. They never specified that the brunch and the unlimited drink is charged apart-​_​– im here here drinking thinking that it’s just $ 5 extra from meal but people it’s not… it’s separate. I had a green eggs with chicken in the form of a quesadilla which was alright, brought back dr. seuss memories and with the 90 min unlimited morning flower drink. It was well worth it as I had 7 of those drinks in which if you calculate it from a regular margarita standpoint…$ 3×7=$ 21 and unlimited brunch drink $ 11.95. Again my issue was the non disclosure. I was able to get hw done and have a pleasant meal… the salsa and chips tasted a bit stale and old.

If I could use one word to describe this place… it’d be RACHET. The sad thing is that it would actually be decent if the crowd wasn’t so bad. Somebody stole my friends phone when she attempted to order a drink. When we asked the bartender If anything was handed in, he replied with «it never does here». Sigh.
If you want to see a bunch of newly (?) graduated college kids spend their night snapchatting as they sing to awful pop music, please go here. It’s pretty comical and the people watching is priceless. Watch your bag and wallet though.
Oh and the police showed up. So there’s that.

A solid place to get drunk on a budget — one frozen grande margarita is enough to get you pretty tipsy. And for 8 bucks, that’s really not bad at all!
It’s a great place to meet up with friends for drinks — the crowd is pretty casual too so you won’t feel rushed to leave (our group was there for over 3 hours!) The food, however, is pretty basic, but good enough to quench the eventual drunchies.

Good food, good for groups, not too bright, great bar and conveniently located right by some good East village bars PLUS they accomodate GF so everyone wins.
I ALWAYS get the quesadilla and ask for the chipotle mayo on the side– it is unbeleivably good. Both times Ive gone Ive went with groups and weve gotten the margarita tower which is always a good move– they are good, strong and whats more fun than serving yourself your own drink out of a lightup dispenser.
They also do delivery on an app and your first meal you get 10% (I think) on delivery and then you can add up points if you keep the app with every purchase. One of the best mexican Ive had in the city so far– especially for the price and scene

Didn’t eat any of the food but had the drinks and they def made them pretty strong. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated on a Thursday night and there was some space around 9pm. The waitress was quick to come to our table and take our drink orders. We came in hoping for a mojito but they don’t make them here.
If it’s anything like the other locations, I’m sure the food is filling. Not as crowded as I would think but I guess it is a Thursday. Nice staff on my visit.

The Smith across the street had an hour and a half wait… so we came here instead. no wait. The difference in wait times is pretty telling for the difference in quality of food.
The service was 5 stars, great, attentive and explained their intense drink menu. The food is very basic, mexican food in it’s typical form. Burritos, tacos, quesadilla etc.
You can order the burrito «naked», aka as a burrito bowl. And, tbh, it was a far far reach from ecoli chipotle. The lettuce was like a spring mix from a bag, the rice was crunchy, and the chicken was not white meat. it was «mixed»… the salsa is also not fresh, seems like it came from a jar.
If you come here come for the drinks! They have drinks where you put a beer in a frozen marg and shot is mixed in… thats only like $ 11. so its cheap fun drinks. after two I was set for the night.

Great relaxing place for cheap yet strong drinks.
So far I’ve tried the flavored Frozen Margaritas ($ 4) with flavors including: peach, coconut, watermelon, passion fruit & mango. The flavors I liked most is the watermelon and mango because it was on the sweet side. The peach flavor was surprisingly too sour for me. The coconut one seemed to only smell good and the passion fruit flavor tasted like it was stored in a container for too long or maybe having too much artificial flavor — not that the others don’t contain any. I have yet to try the huckleberry flavor, they said they ran out the time I was there.
For the food, I got Two Hard Shell Tacos with grilled chicken that came with a side of rice and bean. The Tacos came out with soft shell siting on the hard shell. As I bite into it, I realized how staled the hard shell was and immediately left it on the side. Everything else was pretty bland, the hot sauces didn’t help too much either. I ended up only eating half of the (soft shell) taco and a bit of the rice and beans. My friend had ordered himself a burrito, I didn’t have the guts to try it. We should stick to just that free chips and salsa; that’s the only tasty thing to munch on.
Service is alright and the décor is pretty neat. However I would just stick to the drinks as well as chips and salsa.

I am a longetime fan of Blockheads, but typically only visit the Murray Hill location on 33^rd and 3^rd. However, on my trek from Midtown to the Manhattan Bridge, I noticed a few weeks ago this new location had opened up here. Yesterday, I decided to try it out.
I arrived around 6PM, it was relatively empty and was seated right away. I didn’t notice because I always go with a burrito, but the menu it slightly different than other Blockheads. Also, something I found curious was, they were unable to steam the burrito unless it was the Glutein Free Burrito. I never had that come up before, so I just stuck with it as is.
My server was courteous, came over a few times to see if we were ready to order, was prompt was bringing drinks. Around 8 when I was leaving it picked up quite a bit, but wasn’t overly loud like the Murray Hill location. Probably because it’s much smaller in size.
Anyhow, nice location, good food, and for some reason the bill seemed much cheaper than usual. I will definitely visit this location again.
